Enjoy speed & ease of use, share access, have greater control with temporary keys/codes, tamper alerts, low battery notifications and a history log. With a Bluetooth Smart-enabled device, you and your guests can unlock & lock your Master Lock Bluetooth Smart-enabled padlock using digital, encrypted “keys”. If you don’t have your phone with you, or you need to share temporary access with someone, the lock can be opened using an up/down/left/right directional code entered on the lock keypad. In default Touch Mode, the lock unlocks upon pressing any button on the lock when your phone is with you. In optional Swipe Mode, the lock can be unlocked with a swipe in the app. The lock owner can easily add and remove guests and schedule guest access to 24/7 or limit to days or nights. Locker Mode allows for maintaining a locked state while the phone is stored inside of a locker. The lock history log captures lock registration; unlock, open and relock activity; unlock method (via Bluetooth Smart-enabled device or directional code); date, time and user (if known); guest invitations, acceptances, access revocations; lock keypad tamper alerts; low battery alerts; Primary Code changes; settings changes (Automatic Relock Time, Locker Mode, Unlock Mode, Time Zone); reset keys activity and firmware updates. The lock batteries are replaceable and can be jumped with an external battery if the battery dies in the locked position. Two models are uniquely designed for either indoor or outdoor lock applications, with special fitment and environmental considerations. The outdoor model features a full 2-piece injection molded body cover and shackle seals for added resistance to weather and dry contaminants.

The idea is great, but some major issues restrict the user experience and may be security issues. - if access time is given to a user: and then starting time is changed, the user won't be able to access it even if the app tells him he can. This almost lead to a critical situation on our side - with biometric authentication: if the app is closed, and then opened: even if the screen asks for authentication, it is possible to open the lock

No problems with the locking process, but the battery drain is terrible! Please add a setting to fully close the app when not in the foreground. I would rather have the inconvenience of having to open the app to open a lock than find my phone battery completely drained. (I am fully up to date as of 16/9/2019). On Android 9 I was able to turn off back ground access but that option seems to have disappeared on android 10.

Master Lock's customer service is absolutely unrivalled imo. That said, this app could use a little work. I'm regularly locked out and have to sign back in as if I'd just reinstalled the app. That would be fine by me if the only login option were username/password, but annoying given the support for biometric login. Should be able to sign in every time with just a fingerprint scan, but after several hours not using the app I always have to reenter my login credentials. Besides that, great app.

Very cool idea, and the lock worked like a charm for the first week and I loved it. My guess is that the problem came around when I took the replaceable battery out to get a look at what it takes, but all the sudden after that first week, my lock no longer calibrates to my phone. The only way I can unlock it is the old directional passcode that I put in before it stopped working.

App lets me change the codes, then reverts them back to the old codes. The worst and most undependable lock system I have ever seen. I mean...it works if you never change the code, the software simply doesn't work. If you are considering using these for rentals take them back right now. They're worthless. They keep telling people in their responses they are opening a ticket but the ticket does nothing. The so called tech help just throws their hands in the area. It's crazy, the product simply doesn't work and they know it.

Update. Sept 19. This app is awful. Once you use the app to open the lock, the app stays active and drains your battery. / It takes an age to open the key safe using the swipe down method within the app. The standard, open when my phone is near method is just not what you need for a safe... So in the end, you turn all the fancy stuff off and tap on a number like you would do for every other key safe costing 25% of this unit.. Save your money and just buy a standard key safe..

App does not work well, very slow after 2 minutes some screens do not show. Have to open and close the app many times then only works 50% of the time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice per customer support. Still not working ready to return the lock and find something else now.

Smartphone doesn't make unlocking the lock any faster or easier, actually probably longer to open. Constantly going back and forth with lock and phone trying to actually get it to unlock. Faster to use combination, now to find the combination to it...

Was working and now I can't log in. I am trying to give someone access to my building and the app says I have no locks in my account. I logged out and now it won't let me log back in. I have the correct log in info entered. Doesn't even change the screen, just the rainbow colored bar across the top disappears. Galaxy S8 phone.

Has issues with detecting the 4400D lock if you have a version of Android above 6. I was using Android 8.1 and have tested on the Honor 6X independently and they both were unable to detect the lock. I tried the app on a really old phone with Android 6, and it actually detected the lock.

Terrible App, logs you out and forgets your credentials including biometrics after each use even though you ticked the box to remember them. So far this has happened 5 times in one day (I just bought it). Does not work with Lastpass. 38% battery usage for the day and I used it once!

the locks used to work fine but that is no longer the case (using for several months). I have 2 locks for 2 different businesses. The app is no longer communicating with the lock box even when I log into account. Tried changing lock time from 5 to 4 seconds and the app wasn't able to find the lock.

Lock works very well and has a rather quick response time to your phones Bluetooth connection. Plus if that's not what you need the customization of the directionsl code is also a nice touch. Overall well made lock.

Poorly implemented. Uses a lot of battery if you enable the unlock features. Has a persistent notification that just says masterlock -- stupid, unnecessary, and irritating. Developers obviously do not act on customer feedback as these have been reported issues for a long time.

Drains battery if you don't manually close out app after use. Also it fails to save username and password and requires me to type log in info for each use which is very frustrating. And yes I check the "stay logged in or remember me" box every time.

The app worked well with no crashes. I did not notice any excessive battery use. The app was UI was functional and utilitarian vs focusing on astethics and animations. Overall a good experience.

App works... I get the "need" for the notification but give us an option to easily turn off the app. It destroys batteries and, most of the time, does not need to be "on".

Horrible. My company bought approximately 100 of these locks at $65 each and use them throughout. Now they are updating the app and telling us we have to pay $25 more per lock for the new app to work. This company is basically blackmailing us. . Really bad business not impressed at all. Switching to fingerprint

Not impressed at all. Purchased this to manage users accessing a building at varying times to find there is no support for this even though its show on the box? When I try enterprise its flagged as not supported and needs an upgrade?
