Material Islands - Wallpapers

Truly among the best of its genre of apps. With no intrusive ads, the ability to change the style of the island, as well as the timing of the background changes makes this a simple, but remarkable little background app. Doesn't take up too much memory, looks very clean and aesthetically pleasing, is free, and isn't even riddled with ads. Great work, developers! This is the kind of thing I love to see!

I like the art, and that you can change the times at which the day-night schedule changes the lighting scheme. I keep the art on random so it's never boring. But even though I paid for it, the live weather does NOT work for me. I keep getting "not found for your area", no matter how many times I try it. I live in a fairly big city, with no wifi issues, so there's no reason it shouldn't work. I've emailed the devs but never got a reply. If this ever gets fixed, I'll give this more stars.

Edit: As of today the weather is showing correctly once again for my area. Parallax doesn't work but I decided to purchase live weather anyway. Unfortunately, it worked only once for about a day. I'm so disappointed. At least the randomization & time of day image changes work. This app has the potential to be great but judging from other comments, the developer doesn't seem too interested in fixing or even acknowledging these issues because they've been ongoing for quite awhile! Such a shame.

Very nice lite app. The "time of day updates are really cool and include colour and screen display changes. It also has a feature for daily random wallpapers. I've had no issues at all, the graphics are really clear and this is definitely not a memory hog. It looks very nice. It's free, but I was so happy with it I donated and will do again if they develop a London Island 😁 Thank you!

This is such a beautiful and well done app for wallpapers, this helps stands out my phone. Though, i recommend adding small little animations such as cars driving across the city or building lights turning off and on, if you were to pick the "Isle of Urbanity". Overall, this is a wonderful art gallery of live wallpapers, i cannot wait to see what is more to come for this app. Thank you for catching my eye and customing my device to a unique look.

Purchased because it is just what I needed. Great thought of having an option to set vertical position of island to easily get space for weather/clock widget. Giving one star less because there's always scope for improvement and the immediate need is to have option for vertical position of island for home and lock screen sperately. I hope you will add it asap.

This app is fantastic. Allows you to make your wallpaper something more interesting than a still image. That being said, there is one issue Live weather isn't exactly live, checking only every 24 hrs. Maybe it should check Everytime the weather app gives a weather update. Considering this is a paid feature it should have a little bit more customizability. Maybe themes for the clouds? If this were to be addressed I would definitely give this a 5 star review

I really loved the app and purchased the live weather feature thinking it would work but sadly it is not. It would have been really awesome if I can get a refund that's the only con I found in the app. Really wish it worked. The walpaper is minimalistic which is what I really love about the app.

This is such a nice app! But there's a issue on my Redmi Note 7 Pro....it isn't applying on my lock screen. It gave an option to select if I'd apply the wallapaper only on the home screen or also the lock screen. I chose both but it didn't appear on the later. Moreover, now it doesn't even give me the option....whenever I select "set wallpaper" it just reverts back to the previous catalog screen. Would love if you guys can fix it. Thank You!

All the wallpapers are so beautiful, and the concept of the wallpaper changing with the time of the day is genius. Oh and did I mention there are no ads? There is something that I miss through: The ability to set the live wallpapers for the lockscreen too. Really need that one.

Solid app, good wallpapers, one small issue with the parallax effect. When the wallpaper has "floated" to the left and u turn off ur phone while it is still to the left, it still stays to the left and does not reset on the lock screen. Seems a bit odd.

This is great but since it's been out for a long time I wish there were more scenes, after a long time of using the app as the wallpaper, they get repetitive and I wish there were more scenes. To the developer, reply if you need ideas haha

Beautiful artsy backgrounds that are slightly customizable depending on the level of dynamism you want. I am especially a fan of the ability to set custom times for certain parts in the image rotation. Beautiful, high-quality, and functional.

Great app! The minimalsim is amazing, I especially like the live wallpapers. The only criticism I have is that I would like a feature that would allow me to customize the colours of my chosen wallpaper. Other than that, I cannot fault this app - definitely download it.

Nearly perfect, the design is incredible and the customization options are sufficient. However, the only thing that irks me is that when the phone is fliped horizontally the island moves to the left of the screen.

I love this wallpaper app. It is by far the best one in my opinion. I have now used it for a year now. Although, I would suggest the developer to put some subtle movements and transitions like the google pixel wallpapers. Thank you for the amazing free app!!

Looks great but paid feature doesn't work. The dynamic background look amazing. But I'm pretty disappointed that the feature i paid for doesn't works. Its snowing here right now and my background is still sunny lol EDIT: I think the developer fixed the issue I mentioned above!

Very cool, I like it, quite original idea. The design is good but not great. The colors are a bit depressing, too gray during the day, I wish they would've been a bit more colorful during the day and gray/black at night. 5 stars, anyway.

This is a very great app! It really looks good and works well. I just hope that the wallpapers would fade colors in between time changes to make it look better. Otherwise, this is a great wallpaper app!

Fine but the live weather that I paid for doesn't work. Looks like others have had the same problem, which is disappointing because the actual wallpapers are fantastic. Just what I'm looking for, but for now it's $2 wasted for the live weather non feature.

Really pretty, works very well. Nice mellow alternative to "always on" live wallpaper. Would give 5 stars, but can't get the paid weather integration to work with it and can't find any help or faq to learn why... UPDATED: Changed to five stars now that the weather plug-in is working correctly !!! Love this wallpaper so much I got it for my 80-year-old mom, who also thinks it's "the cutest thing ever" :-)

Installed it, loved it and immediately went for the live weather feature. Have seen other commenters having issues with live weather but I haven't yet and hope I don't. Even if I do, the developer seems to be working on it. Right now I can get a refund but I won't because this semi-live wallpaper doesn't deserve to be free. Thanks for the amazing screens dev! :)

very nice app, very aesthetic backgrounds! wanted to help the dev out so I bought the weather option, only thing is, it doesn't really work. whenever I refresh the weather, the app just tells me "no weather found for the current time" and defaults to the sun, even though it might be raining. otherwise perfect!

I can't believe this app is actually free and the developer hasn't bombarded it with the adverts. These are the exact type of wallpapers I would love in my phone screen. Minimalisic, high resolution and perfect balance of soothing colors. You have my full support, Jenny. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
