This thing needs a lot of big fixes. Firstly, the characters in the keyboard are too big and are confusing to work with. Second, the dark mode doesn't work at all. Thirdly, in settings, we don't get a preview of what the keyboard will look like with certain settings. Please fix the app. I used it for just 3 minutes and I am done with it.
Overall a great app, excellent concept, probably the best of its kind. What I like best about this is the organization of math symbols is neat and intuitive, for example grouping all the calculus notations in one area and the set theory symbols in another. However it would be even better if I can type the @ symbol, since it is fairly common. Everytime I need to type an email address, I need to copy and paste the @ online.
This is a game changer for math majors like me. It isn′t a replacement for an actual everyday-use keyboard, but rather a tool to start up when you need to write some expression in a chat and can't bother to open up a LaTeX editor. Typing actual text feels pretty clunky, but for quick math symbols and expressions, this is miles better than the alternatives (and has symbols grouped by area of use, which IMO is better than having a big list without repeating symbols like the Japanese Gboard).
I installed it and went to Settings, but couldn’t actually set anything due to a constant barrage of ads (some fullscreen) bouncing the screen all over the place. (This is why most things either plop ads at the bottom where they can expand to their hearts’ desire, or with a fixed height so the UI doesn’t end up like some Geocities page ca. JS 1.0. And of course fullscreen ads would need to be rate-limited or dropped.) I suspect that it’d be OK with a firewall/sim. to disable all networking.
Great app, but misses some features. I would like it if all characters could have subscripture, rather than just a few, along with ∞. Also, the vector symbols are a bit dodgy. For example, ⃗F should have the arrow above it, not going through it. Besides that, love it!
The app is brilliant, I haven't found any other means of easily typing maths on my phone. There is a bug though. On any key where there would are multiple related keys, eg a curved bracket (, you also get offered { and [, pressing ( gives a menu and you cannot actually type (. You could type { though via this menu. I'm on a OnePlus Two. Please fix it, because this app is otherwise excellent.
This thing might be a little too complicated and might confuse you but it works.. Why I am giving it 3 stars is that it does not gives you exclamatory mark, question mark and more signs. It gives a pop up whenever you touch a alphabet and makes it hard to type. It also gives an ad just above the keyboard which makes it hard to see what is just above the keyboard.
Nice idea, terrible execution. Banner ads take up valuable space. It is missing most basic keyboard functionality. The app is littered with typos. It doesn't respect system theme and the dark option is just a horrible greyed-out version with zero contrast. Key animations are random, awful and distracting. The long-press popups are jarringly weird. Pathetic cash grab.
If it wasn't buggy it would be ok. Like when you click the button "log()" it writes "lo)", that's an example. So it is useless for intensive use, maybe helpful to write some unusual characters instead of copying them everytime from wikipedia.
The keyboard goes well. I like it, especially when typing the lim, calculus where all small subscript are available. But the keyboard is too big, it will cover more than half of your screen. Some of the button also didnt work properly. I tap 'log ()', but only appears 'lo ()'. The modulus bracket '| |' also glitching. I hope you will do something to make this app going better.
Great app. Has all the symbol I need. Also have functions that makes typing faster. However, the app's interface doesn't look good. An option to customize the keyboard's size and look would be great. It would be cool if it's as lightweight as Multiling O Keyboard
does exactly what i needed, can now use ˢᵘᵖᵉʳˢᶜʳⁱᵖᵗ on android and many other mathematical symbols, ˣ∃cos(42)∑π, also its free and ad banner is tiny. Another review said no exclamation marks which is incorrect! Easy to navigate but I would use my devices default keyboard to write an essay or something as the app seems more designed to help with short mathematical/chemical writing. Needed it for writing electron structure but will be keeping it installed
seriously this app is great but its somehow incomplete. It needs more settings. please add the following. auto-correct, word prediction and completion, key spacing customization.. Because spaces between the keys are too narrow and hence lots of typing errors are made. please integrate google voice typing to work along with this keyboard. first letter in a word does not auto-capitalize after a fullstop. delete button does not work after a text is highlighted. Please help fix the bugs. thanks.
Absolutely Horrid! After a wonderful half-year of using this app, they bring up a new update with nonsensical display! I can barely see the characters on the keys I'm supposed to type, unless I super-increase the keyboard height to fill my entire screen. No. No. No.
I really want this and would pay for the premium but I have no assurance that my account information won't be sold off. But I'll trust that this is not a key logger... Now I also just adjusted my coding formats to incorporate symbols that this particular calculator doesn't feature. So I'll buy premium! It truly is one of the best apps ever, though. I'm a tutor, so I truly appreciate it! You did awesomely!
This Maths keyboard application is a very good and useful to get the full access of mathematical symbols. I could used it to solve many problems in my Secondary school which have no computers. Now I am simply using the keyboard on my tablet to prepare my notes on mathematics. Because it has a full mathematical characters and symbols.
Despite enabling it as a keyboard, I do not get the option to switch to this keyboard. The other math keyboard I found on playstore named dx keyboard seems to work just fine but is very annoying when it comes to switching back to Gboard. I wanted to try out this app too but well, it simply can't be selected.
Though it gets the job done most of the time but has its own limitations. It is not based on Latex but simply on common characters and symbols and hence use of fraction not possible. For integration limits etc you can make do with superscript and subscript. Same goes for powers etc.
It is very nice app ever for my typing in my educational website. Its Superscript Keyboard, Greek Keyboard, Mathematical Keyboard, Set Keyboard, Calculus Keyboard and many other features make me so glad. but the only thing that disappointed me is I can't give vector arrow above the letters. I'd give five stars rating if we can add vector arrow sign above letters.
The new update interface has ruined the app, the previous interface was much better. The font size(not keyboard size) is much bigger and there's no option to resize it. It's so irritating!
Before launching an app, I strongly encourage you run your text through Grammarly or other similar app. There are several mispelled words and you're missing punctuation in many sentences. Next, drop the requirement that I have to unlock my device to use your app.
Overall it is a productive app with all the necessary mathematical tools required in subscript as well as superscript format. But I would like to suggest to widen the gap between the adjacent keys to avoid typing error.
The previous version was best. After updation the "enter key" is not working. The symbol of colon is missing. Updation of this app is worst. Can you give me the previous version? Otherwise I have no option for deleting this one. You actually downgraded this app instead of updation.
can't adjust keyboard height! only one input line on top of screen! Greek alphabets font size too large, not to scale as English. Should design integral upper, lower limits, the boundaries.
It takes me forever just to write an expression using this keyboard. I have to go to math, then menu, and then to calculus just for writing an integral sign. This app would have been great, if it was similar to Wolfram Alpha's keyboard.
My most horrible experience not because it doesn't works properly but becoz of just 1 single text i.e. '@'... I kept the setting at maths keyboard. And when my phone got locked, I tried opening it using my usual password bt to my surprise there was no @ contain in the keyboard. And since I had to put that particular term to unlock my phone, I got in a massive trouble. Thanks to Maths keyboard, I had to format my entire phone to open it again.
The moment I opened, huge keyboard covered my whole screen. When I set the size to minimum, still it covers half screen. The description and tutorial shown are no way near to reality.
It's silly I can only use subscript for a handful of letters. It's especially egregious that it doesn't work with y. Makes it useless for partial derivatives. Otherwise seems like a decent keyboard.
The app is a very good one🙂🙂. It enables you to type and input different types of mathematical symbols. I really like the app but still there are some missing characters like the subscript of all letters and some other characters are not present😐. The developer should try to look into this and also try to include the superscript and subscript of all characters if possible. This app is really good anyway🙂👍.
