What I like about this guide is that it works off line. Click where you at or where you want to be and it will tell you what's around
Of no help whatsoever. Waste of money. Outdated. Book is much more helpful. Download the free trip advisor app instead.

Great app! Had bug and notified developer, quickly responded and fixed the bug. Works great on my Droid RAZR HD.
I bought this in anticipation of our trip to Maui in a few weeks. The maps look great. Unfortunately, my phone has been recently been flooded with notifications that look like raw JSON: {"Delivery Attempts":1, "EndpointArn":...}. I'm guessing the developer tried to add a new feature without testing it very well. Sometimes the notifications come in such rapid fire that it sounds like my phone is ringing.
This app was so handy! No service on the Hana hwy and GPS made it easy to find each stop. Wouldn't visit again without it.
I wish there were clickable links on the map, otherwise this is excellent. It eliminates the need to carry the guidebook everywhere.
Today a problem started. Suddenly my phone will go crazy with rapid fire notification sounds and I get assume crazy message about delivery failure. Please help.

Can't really rely on this. The GPS often loses the mothership. The search function is not a search as much an index. It would also be more useful if there were audible alerts for nearby flagged items.
Very helpful and informative. I had absolutely no GPS related problems whatsoever on my Nexus 5 device.
I threw out my horribly unreliable gps thanks to this app. The biggest pain when exploring hawaii is trying find the sights your gps. Trust me here. Its extremely difficult and frustrating to navigate Maui when every street name starts with a K and you have no idea what city or county you're looking for. If you want to explore the island on your own you need this. The app combines the best guide to the island with an offline gps.
It took a while to download due to slow hotel wifi and the apps size but it was worth the wait.
I was sceptical but someone advised me to buy the book so I tried the app and it's really nice and very helpful plus it's fun to read a perfect mix and much much more convenient than big books we ended up not using at all. Strongly recommend!
This is THE BOOK! Buy the book and the app and you will not be disappointed. Most worn and loved book I own. The app is new to me but I fell in love with it on my last trip to Maui. Very easy to use and always accurate. Aloha!
I'm familiar with the guidebooks and preffered the app over the book. The GPS and nearby attractions is great, and also the feature of saving favorites on the map. Found some real gems on the island with the guide's help. Well worth the price!

Great app. GPS shows you where you are even when you are driving around the southwest part of the island.

I love my Maui revealed book. It's tattered and well used by me and everyone who marks it up with places they suggest. This app makes it so much easier and no more lugging my book around. Worth the few bucks even though I have the book. Great way to "dog ear" your favorites.
Played with the app for an hour. Found out you can't filter out items near by. So if you search for near by places you get 30 places to stay and 10 food/activity mixed in. Waste of money imo. Update: The developer replied to my response with in 24 whichs unheard from an app. I look forward to seeing an updated version if there is going to be filter option.
Good app for information but useability is lacking. I would like better filtering and ability to share favourites list and adresses. I have the book so app wasn't real helpful for navigating without data plan.
Mostly got this app for R2H. It didn't disapoint. Only reason not 5 stars (needs a voice guide :-) ) this app is great for finding snorkeling and dining spots!
We used the guidebooks on every Hawaii trip we have taken since 1999. The app is a terrific help and addition to the book. It also works well as a stand alone.
I've been using these books since I first traveled to hawaii, and they are awesome. And now there's an app. Thanks!
