Best mapping app for off-road navigation, includes OS maps with contours. I have been trying to find an equivalent for iPhone but there isn't one, and that's the sole reason I still use my android phone!
Excellent app - used it for years, HOWEVER support woeful - I raised an issue 4 months ago about moving the data/app onto android SD card (which I'd done before) . despite an e-mail saying "our team will report to you very shortly" no report as yet....latest update - now 5 months still no support!
Love the offline caching of maps and telemetry when off net. Need to improve viewability on modern high-DPI devices. Can't read the map texts and there is no setting to adjust this preference. Zooming changes tile detail level and not text size.
Must be able to call map scales. I would prefer some magnitude of 1:25x for metric or 1:24x for imperial. This app gives a bar of unknown length and says it's 17.3 miles long. Must use whole number scales - not 17.3 miles in the approximately one inch scale bar. This app only has units kilometers, miles and nautical miles available, no feet or meters.
The best groud navigation app ever seen. The features of this app is more than one expert navigator need. One more thing I will expect from the developer is to add Google Map to the map list. Then it will be very helpful. Cause the other maps are not so updated like Google Map.
it used to work great but the zoom level doesn't support today's pixel dense screen resolutions. All of the map text, such as street names, are too small to read. Add some sort if zoom factor setting please!
After 4 or 5 months of use my map screen is now Blurry. Can't use it very well with a Blurry screen. I've emailed them over a week ago and No one has bothered emailing me back. I like the way it worked for a while. 😏
Edit, updated review,. Maps are now back, it seems I wasn't the o ly person with this problem. Tbank you. It won't allow download of any maps, despite uninstall and deletion of all data and cache. Such a shame as it was a really good app before
It has a nice touch to it, it needs a community developement forum and help, it'd be great to API or integrate with a web server, SMS, ftp, imap and vps/VPN to. It's got a lot of potential - how can I integrate this to fleet management, like instead of Google maps or waze? Use this?
Ok mapping app. Can't download maps to sd card. Can't zoom in past "level 18". Has good selection of map servers.
I am using Samsung now and find Maverick is much slower than on my Huawei P20. Many areas are missed. This problem is the same on my wife's Samsung phone. It was my favourite app for use on OS maps.
Not happy here. I uninstalled maverick pro which i purchased years ago and now in google play store there is no install button to press. This is not good enough since I paid for it. I can now only install the lite version. Feeling ripped off here!
i paid for pro version and now i can't download more than 5000 tiles together. The map is not updated like google map.. useless and not worthy. orux is much better than this.
I have loved this app for many years now. However I have had problems getting more maps added to the app. Other then that great app.
Great app but hasn't been updated or supported for a long time and as phone technology develops more bugs appear.
It will not display any maps except osm transport and osm bike and both are watermarked "API KEY REQUIRED". Maverick used to be good, but now it is useless.
Just like abandoned apps. No update since 2017. Impossible this stable apps since android ayatem upgrading, changing. Even Facebook apps, the most big company also update their app
Great app, I like it as a companion app to Avenza, nice to download an area I'm going to so I have detailed ortho coverage.
This is probably the best mapping app I've ever seen. Simple to use, strores the maps offline on my phone and works with OS Explore maps! Perfect for using in the hills, when walking or on a run for quick reference. Obviously, always have an actual map too.
