Maxthon Browser - Fast&Secure

Upd01.22:it still hangs sometimes on google picture search. Also it is unfamiliar not to slide pages to close them. However it is more confident to close right ones now. I miss 2 of my livesone riggs. Upd10.21: still crushes over download tasks, any size, any type, randomly, alot. Without way to re-open it unless phone restarting. upd: after certain changes - finally got to lgin, settings restored, access granted. feel good. warned to lose comfort level again. suspicious.

Horrible browser, maxthon used to be my favorite browser, now all it does it freeze up and will not work at all after latest update. The previous version wasn't much better but at least it didn't freeze up. Deleted from phone and going with another browser that functions.

Everything was fine a few years, but now, after the last update I can't open my folders anymore, so all my shortcut icons, saved in folders, are gone (inaccessible).

Latest update is awful. Maxthon is the only browser I've used for the last 10 years, but this latest update causes it to freeze up and become unresponsive.

I am quite disappointed with the Android version and wish it was more similar to the Windows PC version. I have been using Maxthon for roughly 8 years and have always been satisfied. The android version crashes frequently, shows a bunch of bookmarked icons on the main page that I can't remove. I can add more but can't take the ones there by default away. Make the Android version more like the PC version and I will be happy.

Been using this for many years, but it is getting worse. Can't change bookmarks order, and also have problems now with many sites where the app will not open the link within the site. And after the update I can't open any file downloaded, and all I get is "no app can handle this action"... And it is just a jpg file! Sadly I have to switch to other browser now. Great! But you should visit ( BrowserGood. Com ) to install browser app. I think this is the best browser on android and I've tried many including lesser known ones. It's good because it has built in blockers. The problem with mobile browsing is that websites now are full of ads, trackers, images for ads, automatic videos. It really slows down the browser and most smartphones can't handle it. Brave blocks most of that and presumably it protects your privacy.

This MX5 screwed all the basics. Favorite were messed up, if its originally organised in folder, y is it so hard to go to the folder view ? Favorite were display randomly even it say "recent". Used to be able to save the original file name in the webpage, now it cant and all image u save is the same name, waste time renaming the files. Put back what u did in version 4.3, thats the best u had

Your new update is garbage. Web pages and images do not load. The app is laggy and unresponsive half the time. Fix it or I will look elsewhere.

I do like Maxthon browser esp the mining. I love the integrated notes and bookmarks features! A few issues are though: crashes a bit too much so hopefully this latest update fixes that, some sites such as gmail and facebook do not display correctly for mobile and there is always a message header saying browser not supported and to update and since I cannot access UUMail on mobile as u need to open it on pc (my laptop was stolen), I cannot use it and have to use Gmail and its just horrible to view and use and passwords do not seem to save or even if you know u have saved them previously, they do not input in the fields to log in or more than often it doesn't even ask to save them. Sometimes it asks but most times it doesn't. Maybe I haven't ticked something or missed a setting and if so pls advise me, but I have checked and since it asks sometimes (rarely tho) I think I have. And the translation add on or whatever it is is not good. Not sure if it works or mobile or is integrated but it never translates and even when I had my laptop it was terrible to use anyways. Pls can u fix translations on mobile. Making it automatic would be wonderful. Chrome does have the best translation add on unfortunately but I would rather not use Chrome and would like to use maxthon all the time but have to use Chrome sometimes as Maxthon browser just doesn't give what's needed ☺☺

Sorry guys I've been using y'all for years even had you on my desktop way back when I was in school still. I even spoke very high praises of the browser. These last few updates, I can't download anything and if it says it does download it, it can't open it and when I go to look for it I can't even find the file. Not to mention every time I minimize and reopen maxthon, all the tabs are doubled sometimes tripled. Earlier this morning it just upped and deleted a tab while I switching between them.

1st: No open link in app. 2nd: The app collects user information by default. If you want to disable it, you need to go to settings to turn it off

To me, a browser is a browser for the most part. Maxthon mobile has the advantage that it can save your preference to "always view desktop site". I use several browsers on my phone & most allow you to switch from mobile to view the desktop version of websites but mostly can't permanently set to request desktop site by default. A huge disadvantage for me is Maxthon limits itself to ONLY 20 tabs (-2⭐).

Multi tab option is missing. Not much different then other regular android browser with crippled tab system.

Most recent update (12/2021) loads pages unusably slow. Not the biggest fan of the new home page layout or the method of closing a page that requires three steps!

The ad blocks some what works, but no basic functionality at all. History gets atuomatically delete, tab order gets randomly changed; the website on the tab itself goes back to previous page when restarting, further annoyance cause there is no forward page option, the screen is automatically locked when streaming videos, the night mode somewhat works but blocks images, no way to scroll comfortably, websites don't get white listed on ad block. What an excellent update!

Nice browser but without normal bookmark functions. One can only add the bookmark entering URL manually. No even option to delete or edit bookmark, or bookmark current page. Anyway, it's a good addition to Chrome and Firefox, for example, if there are some sites where you don't want images (use smart image display option) and these sites are not displayed properly in Firefox (common problem is that Firefox can't show previous page correctly for some sites while Maxthon is OK).

Very good app, been using it for years now, very rarely I get webpage that doesn't function correctly. As for the new color of the logo, it kills the nice old blue color, plus inside the app the new color hides the 3 dots on the top right corner of the page.

𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽-𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘂𝘀. I don't know what they've been fiddling with, but recently, and despite an update earlier this week, I have found drop-down menus on different Websites to be non-functional. The same Websites worked in a different browser. Maxthon is my preferred browser, but this is testing my patience; an update with such an easily identifiable fault should not pass testing for release. 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 (still) 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. Also, despite requests to make it possible to remove the bundled default links (which simply take up screen real estate) they have consistently failed to provide this functionality. Other Android browsers don't force users to put up with such things. Perhaps it's time to switch to the Brave Web browser instead?

Been using maxthon for years now as my main browser. The android app is obviously more limited but still has the most important features such as integrated adblock, sync of favourites between desktop and mobile browsers, amd some other features such as Notes. I hope the team will continue being able to support and develop this product for many years to come.

Edit: ok, i got it. Thanks. Earlier there was history button in that place. Another Bad feature, When i scroll down, page is reloaded accidently. And in home page there are unwanted web pages which can distract our mind. When browsing something i can't see anything on status bar like time, battery percentage etc.. at the same time because background of browser is white in color and text written on status bar is also white

Edit: won't load pages most of the time now. No matter how many times I close the app and open it, it doesn't fix. The only way to fix temporarily is to restart my phone. The layout is stupid and I don't like it. I liked the other layout better. I'm just so tired of this browser constantly not working on mobile.

This browser started out fine I was loving it, the Adblock function works at about 70% rate but what's the essence if the browser keeps deleting downloaded files? PS - This is not storage cleaner or anything.. I downloaded files up to 500mb only to try and access them and not find them anywhere. Even connected to PC same thing. When I try opening from the browser itself from download list, keeps saying NO APP CAN HANDLE THIS FILE. Music MP3 files and videos MP4 files for that matter..

It used to be five stars but sadly their ad blocking no longer seems to work no matter what, I am very disappointed in the new update and I hope the developers will get the ad blocking back to functioning because that is pretty much the only reason I stood behind this app. currently I cannot recommend it and I'm very close to uninstalling it. some ads are acceptable but others are just ridiculous. please fix the issue and I will gladly give a recommendation and a five-star review. Uninstalled.

UI is not intuitive at all. Does not block any ads. Seems like the developer wants you to install more apps/plugins just to use the most important feature you thought will be already on the board and this is ad blocking. Don't bother doing that, just go ahead and INSTALL VIA BROWSER. I blocks any ad in sight, I've tested it mysef

I just got him other day. He seems like a good browser but Google said when I tried to use him to sign-in I couldn't cuz his java must of been turned off.

The browser is not operating at full capacity, using the following example can not login to gmail account. It keeps showing a message the browser is not secure and should leanlrn more with google. As it is now i cant use the browser to access my gmail. When i turn on desktop view while using the browser to surf facebook site it will show a message at the top, saying facebook will not support this browser soon. Also its difficult to send a message i.e to inbox someone say a friend on facebook.
