This app is poorly designed, it takes too long to start your car with all the pins and passwords you need to enter. No fingerprint or face unlock to make it easier to use. Lacks updates from developers to make it worth it. No GPS map on the car finder. The annual fee is too expensive for what you get, other systems from other car manufacturers have free functionality. No key fob given. Just a waste, dont install this on your car, save your money.

A first glance I thought this would have been a highlight of my vehicle. I looked into many suvs and reviewed the tech packages and options. My Mazda CX-5 GT took the cake on paper with my price range in mind. I got every option available including the mobile start. The app is slow, requires double authentication on top of already being signed on to your phone. There is no fingerprint integration either. On top of have a yearly premium after paying the premium to get it installed... It's not worth it. If I could give 0 stars I would. Mazda, great job on the car, but don't include tech that you're not ready to support.

This app does what it needs to, but is very slow. I'm guessing this has to do more with needing to communicate with the car than it does with the app itself. To start the car, it takes about 30-45 seconds. Here is the process: 1. Open app (~5sec) 2. Login (~10sec after you type your username and password) 3. Click the start page (~1sec) 4. Click Start and type in pin (~15 sec after typing in pin) 5. Receive confirmation that car has started. Really, its not that slow, but it always seems painfully slow when you are doing it. I've never had problems connecting or getting it to work. You can also lock/unlock (similar timing) and find your vehicle.

This app is too slow and needs to be streamlined with a widget. Have a start car button made into a homepage widget that requires your fingerprint when activated. For the price of this system it should be just as easy to start your car with your smartphone as it would be a key fab. If we all knew it would take a lot longer and be a bit of a pain to the point where you don't even use it at all cause it is such a nuisance.

As everyone else has noted, the app has stopped working in the past few days. I've tried everything including uninstalling & reinstalling. Previously, it did everything it should, although it could be faster & a bit more technologically advanced for the annual cost. Please fix soon! Temps are in the negatives & no one likes the feel of cold leather 😭

A password and a pin are required for this app to remote start you vehicle. There is no understanding that they phone is most likely already secure. Biometrics is not an option. It can take up to several minutes for the password/pin to response even on strong WIFI or data connections. I cannot wait for Mazda to upgrade this application. It is terrible. I wish it were just a key fob start. No password required.

Harldy ever works, just gives me an error saying "Communication with the vehicle was interrupted. Please try again." I live in a city and the cell signal is perfectly fine. When it does work (rarely) it takes over a minute to perofrm any action. Its 2109, this is ridiculous. Certainly the worst app experience I've ever had.

This app has fully just stopped working for me. It repeatedly tells me that my username and password is incorrect and won't let me log in at all despite changing and confirming it on the website. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it and still I am unable to sign in. This is trash and just in time for me to not be able to use my remote start this winter! How wonderful.

I wish I would have looked this app up before purchasing. I hate it. A huge waste of money. I have a stupid looking hunk on my windshield. The app takes a really really long time to turn the car on. I get tired of putting my password and pin in and waiting for each to load. And then it doesn't always even turn on the car. So frustrating to go through all that and get out to a freezing car that hasn't started. And to top it off I have to pay $65 a year to keep it.

The app requires a full password every time you use it. Competitors allow a simple PIN once your phone/tablet is associated with your account. Using the full password every time you want to start the car is really inconvenient. Additionally, the app was poorly written and doesn't clearly identify that it is asking for a login/pw combo so that password management apps can detect the fields and make the entry easier. Consequently, this app is really a PIA to use.

this app is very slow and I agree with many other reviews that it needs to be upgraded. I am having the same issues as One reviewer said I live in Michigan and now that the weather is cold the app can't communicate with the vehicle. It's funny, I just started paying for the service because my first free year was up! I have tried everything to get this thing to work and it wont. Now I will probably have to go to the dealer. Total waste of time.

I knew the reviews were bad, but I bought this thing anyway. I regret it. I really wish I had a aftermarket car starter. This app is absolute trash. You have to authenticate twice just to start your car, and each step takes a minute. It won't even work with my LastPass so it actually reduces security because I have to use an easily typed password. Look on YouTube, there are ways to install an aftermarket starter that you can trigger with your Mazda remote with a triple tap of the lock button.

Getting really tired of the app not working when i need it most - coldest day of the year, car buried in snow, etc. Latest error states that communcation with the network was interrupted. Trobleshooting indicates there may be an issue with the cellphone network or the vehicle being out of the coverage area. Nope, that is not the problem. None of my other devices are having an issue and the car is in the same network coverage area as when the app does work. Also didn't work in other areas either.

I am also having the same issue with "Communication with vehicle interrupted.' -20C and car won't start due to communication issue. Just had it installed two weeks ago. Seems to work well in mild weather but not in cold. What's the point. Getting it removed. Unreliable.

Believe the reviews, I've had this app for over two years and have had nothing but problems. It's a $65 a year service, it's mind blowing that such an expensive app has so many issues. Customer service is absolutely useless and hard to get. I've been locked out of the app despite resetting passwords and re-entering account information, just got off the phone with customer service and was told "someone will contact me in two days"! I won't hold my breath. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS STARTER FROM MAZDA!

Useless. Slow. Doesn't work half the time. Requires pin and password. Takes 1 minute to connect then another minute to start it. Half the time is says error can't connect. I wish I had looked into this prior to purchasing. I would have purchased a regular car starter. Totally useless. Unreliable. Plus you have to pay annual fee. So dumb.

Poorly written app with bugs. The app is very slow taking upwards of 1 minute on occasion to even open. Doesnt remember my password when the box is selected to do so. Doesnt offer fingerprint unlock like all major remote start apps. While it does work, go spend hundreds less on an aftermarket remote start with better UI and experience.

The app is very slow in response, it takes too long to connect to the car and also if you send a command, it takes again long time to take effect. Also you can't control temperature of the car which is very important. But it does the important job which is start the car or unlock it.

Months later, still one of the worst apps in the app store from one of the worst development teams. A shocking display of poor practices. Desperately lacking in basic features, very slow. Painful to use. No support for biometric login so it takes several minutes just to log in to the app. It's more an expensive gimmick than a useful feature.

I'm lucky if my car starts half the time I use this app. And I hate that it doesn't store my password or use my fingerprint. Not only that but today was the first day I was able to update my payment and it kept the same expiration date. If it were a free app, maybe, but 70/year?! It's a negative star in my opinion, don't let the dealer talk you into this $800+ add on!

Updated: Recently purchased for cx5 .. needs more controls, would like to see a virtual panel that can control all the climate options, even a close sunroof option would be nice. Have not had any access issues latley.. but did notice the rear defroster was not working in app, does work in the vehicle. App needs updating.

The app takes too long to use. Log in time is just too long. Not only log in with your password then you have to use your pin which if you're in a hurry takes time to do. Additionally, it has not been working it continuously tells me that it is having trouble connecting so what's the point if it doesn't start when you need it to.

Terrible app. Constant password issues, connectivity issues, and extremely slow. It shouldn't take 5 minutes to start the car. Currently can't log in because it won't accept my credentials even though they're correct.

I have had this app for almost a year now and still hate it. I try to be understanding but this is ridiculous. I wish i would have spent the extra money on a different remote start. I thought the app would be better, guess i was wrong. & to top it off it is now not allowing me to log in through the app. I can log in on the computer but when i try on the app it keeps telling wrong username & password.

App is very slugish. Takes at least 3 min to login and start your car. Not convenient considering the price tag for the install and the yearly subscription cost. Would be faster to walk out and start my car manually. Cancelled my subscription after finishing my first year.
