This is a long overdue review of this game. It is hands down one of the best td games I've played since flash was around. There is a perfect balance of genuine challenge with major td fun Involved. It's more than just place and upgrade your towers. It makes you really have to think. Plus there are little to no ads. What else could anyone ask for

This has been great so far. Most roguelikes have me uninstall them after a day or two, but this has kept my attention due to the deceptively deep gameplay mechanics. The community out there has also helped get me going, as the "tutorial" doesn't cover much. An in-game glossary of terms would be wonderful!

If you're up to the task, Mazebert has absolutely everything anyone could ask of a tower defense game, with a huge amount of towers, factions, enemies, and upgrades of every sort. The learning curve is fairly steep, and there is a significant amount of micromanagement required to win even on the easiest difficulty, but the feeling of pulling off a victory is made all the more sweet for every defeat you suffer. Just an incredible game.

Best tower defense game. I've been playing on and off for 4 years. It's gotten harder and more balanced as the years go on. Less cheesy strats and the meta changes every year or so, but that keeps it interesting for me. The most recent time I picked it up again it took me 5 tries to beat the easiest difficulty, despite having won many many times a year before.

A potentially strategic TD game that falls short. The initial gameplay is fun, but you will lose playing that way. The system for tower EXP and levels is flawed - change it so that the tower stats are based on the wave level plus tower level? Something is needed to bring the towers closer together in power. Almost all endgame towers are only used for their effect, not damage. Same issue with dumping items and potions on one tower. Makes it boring. Love the concept and work, so I donated. Cheers!

This is a great game and an absolute original. It took me at least 5 attempts to beat the first level on easy which is refreshing for a tower defense game. The graphics aren't all that but it is a very cleverly worked out game that will get you thinking strategy big time. I've really enjoyed it and will definitely be contributing £5 to the developer. The fact it's completely optional makes me much more willing to support him.

I just want to say good job to developers. This is probably one of the best TD games on the play store. Not only is this game not plagued with ads. The developer chooses to let you donate to them at your own choice... Moving on. This game can get pretty complicated. Alot of elements are in this game to increase towers and other particular strengths. I feel almost like it's D&D in TD form. Many towers, four different class sets which let you create a wide variety of strategy. I'm addicted to it.

So close to perfect. The single player difficulty is messed up. At level 50 on easy setting it should be difficult NOT to pass the first map. Instead, you have to play it right AND happen to get the right drops. This game is more about the RNG favoring you than skill or strategy (though you will need those too). It is a fun game with plenty of unique strategies. Unfortunately, almost all of them will fail miserably.

No ads. Free to play. Very good game. Very well balanced. This developer is really something else. Thank you for an amazing game. Hope you will create more games like this in the future.

Full 5 stars no question! If you liked old WC3 TDs like YouTD, this one is going to be amazing for you! Don't get deterred by the visuals at all because there's an incredibly deep game hiding underneath. This game is not easy and everyone rating it bad wasn't willing to master the slightly steep learning curve. I wish this game had a better tutorial but it honestly made for a much more rewarding experience finding it all out for myself!

This is essentially a carbon copy of the old warcraft map YouTD, with stolen assets from other games such as the Protector series; yet in mobile format, it's rather comfortable. If you can deal with the jarring contrast of visual design that comes with stolen art, the fundamentals of YouTD are still very enjoyable even in a package like this. A must have if you've ever wanted a bootleg YouTD on the go.

Mazebert TD is a great game. It is challenging and there are many ways to win so the game never gets stale. The only problem is that the tutorial is not very intuitive and may leave beginners confused but as they play more things will start to click.

Who though that a tower defense game with completely random tower, drops, and everything was a good idea? It's incredibly frustrating - everything is randomized. This means that sometimes you'll start your round with 4 boss levels, sometimes you'll have lots of gold because you only get cheap towers, sometimes the opposite... also it's not clear which tower is good or bad.

This game is rad! ADDICTED. So much going on all at once plus the card power up element makes it very fun. The highest of fives to this developer!

Mazebert to me falls in the uncanny Valley of TDs, it's almost good, better than others but overall frustrating. I feel at its core it is lacking something unsure what.. maybe more visual feedback or better towers for price. The balance seems off, the game feels off.. The game is also quite hard with only some strats being viable. Stuck around to beat the incorrectly named 'easy' mode but it feels less of a feat and more of a grind. It's hard to give this 2 star but it just frustes me that much

Very fun 😎 Had an absolute blast playing it and each game is a new adventure. Its frustrating since there's a bit of luck to which tower you get each run, but it also means you have to constantly switch up your strategy and adapt to what comes at you :) 10/10 would recommend Discord server is very friendly too

Played this a few years ago and it was strategically insane, so many different viable strats, end game content, leaderboards this was great, some rng involved but it ran smoothly and wasn't bothersome to reset and retry. Great game

The gameplay and the game mechanics are excellent. The balance sadly isnt. I have tried 15 times to get past Easy mode on 200. The closest I could get was 80. Maybe ditch the tower exp and just use gold to upgrade towers or if not then perhaps a seperate game mode for it.

Been playing this for several years now. I feel the recent update made the game short of impossible on single player. I kinda get the need to ramp down the drop rate and increase the difficulty for the multiplayer, but now it became hard as hell to even reach past 50th wave on Easy. Maybe worth doing a different balance for coop and single player?

Love the WC feel of this and wish more of those arcade games made it to the mobile space. A great TD, with many different ways of doing things. My only issue atm would be gender towers. They should display gender on the info screen after placing the tower as new players, such as myself, have no clue what genders towers are. With items that effect them specifically it would be nice to have atleast a symbol to help players place the right items.

Great RPG/strategy/TD game. TBH probably best one I've played on store. Sadly only 3 stars cuz achievement/rewards are rediculously buggy. Play a 30 - 45 min match, completing achievements during, then get out of match to see no rewards sitting there.. It happens with quests too sometimes. Pretty annoying when matches can be so long, even with time scepter item. Edited to 1 star: Sick of beating wave 200 and it not registering the progress after.

Shw. D. Apr 20, 2021

Hated this game for long time but I still kept playing. Could never beat the 1st map which consist of 200 rounds. Even went on a rant. But behold I kept with it and finally completed the 200 rounds. Not an easy task until you spend mad hours learning everything. If so you will likely breach your patience but if you stick it out. You might just master it. My rating has changed from 2 star to 5

Color me impressed. For any Tower Defense fan this should be a must try. It capitalizes on all the good the genre has produced but does so in a fun and unique way. Love that towers can be personalized with items/oils and the replay value is enhanced with the "roguelike" mechanics. Some quality of life improvements could be made, but thats me just nitpicking. Was happy to throw the dev some money as you can tell this is a passion project vs a money grab. Keep up the great work! :)

Very hard to master (NOT a casual game), and pretty bad graphics. I'm not too fond of the "carry tower" principle (where one tower does most of the work), but this gets pretty addictive ! Not my favorite TD game, but not far from the top either!

very enjoyable, it does remind me of wc3 td maps, i just beat the game on my second try, got master rank using wolfs(focusing on the pack leader only), it was fun, the more content i got the more i learned about potential fun builds to make like arthur with the guards, that looked really fun, gotta play more to see it's full potential, so far i managed to go all the way to wave 200 spending quite a bit of time and can say it was pretty fun all throughout, i'm left wishing to play more and i will
