Soniface is a unique tool to create music.The spherical mixture of visuals and sounds allows for new approaches to compose. In addition to intuitive elements, the modular system offers far-reaching options. Synths, drums and samples can be combined with audio effects, sequencers, automation, loop recording as well as innovative input methods.
Based on experimentation and dynamic action, the app focuses on the process of creation. It leads to unexpected and exciting results. To catch these moments, it’s advisable to capture audio and video.
Since 2017 we are working on updates with new features and improvements. With your purchase you directly support the further development of Soniface. The concept, development and design is made by Stephan Kloss. The project history goes back to 2011 where he animated the short movie Geometric Poetry. Since the first Mazetools prototype, the development has become an experimental catalyzer for many different projects of Ectoplastic Laboratory.

It sounds awesome, even on the lite version there are so many possibilities for sweet pads and arps. However, I've found that it's nearly impossible to use much of the time due to the repeated crackling sound it makes. If I could get this sorted out then I'd like it a lot more. UPDATE: I used this app on a tablet recently and there were no issues, it sounded fantastic; I suspected that it might have been my phone speakers and it was. The app is great, just make sure your device is optimised.
As at least one other reviewer here as said, the app is too small, microscopic, as he or she said, which makes it very fiddly and difficult to use. Found it effectively unusable on my 5" smartphone for this reason, but many functions do not seem to work anyway. Might have more success in using this app on a larger screen tablet as the app images are so small. Regards, Brent Collins.
This was a waste of time. Some Minority Report like graphics that did nothing but spin around everytime that I thought that I might be going somewhere to actually use it, it took me to a 4 panel screen that doesn't do anything. I saw a microscopic (Btw, the whole app is microscopic) "buy" button, so I thought what the heck. I was thinking a $.99 or $1.99, but it was $12.99! If this "lite" version is supposed to get me to blindly drop $13 because maybe it will look like the photos and maybe I'll hear something, it doesn't.
Longtime musician, eurorack fan, synth loving millenial speaking - This could be so, so magnificent but the *UI is beyond unusable.* Beautiful, a feat of programming and visuals. But unusable. I tried. i wanted so bad to love it. Please just, include some documentation or tutorials. Have one of your friends go into it cold and watch them try to figure it out. This app makes me feel like I'm going crazy.
I've been exploring various soundmaking apps on Android and iOS and this just takes the cake, I only spent maybe 40 minutes so far these are first impressions - the best app for freestyle beatmaking, hands down. I have not explored all of it but sure will! Amazing!
Really enjoyed the beta version, which I still have installed! Since the release of this Lite version, they have still made it impossible for me to purchase the full android version because I live in Canada. Their reason given is a very poor excuse, (VAT tax not paid by Google!) since I've purchased apps from their country and those other developers had no issue letting me support them. Really hope they address this soon.
Really cool app. But, the interface even on a Note 9 with my reading glasses was to hard to see and the buttons to small to tell what they did. But, it is a cool app. I tried the magnifying option and felt very clumsy to me.
Incredible. It's an multi sensory environment to make beats and original samples. Rather intuitive, the more you play with it the more features you uncover. Brilliant stuff. Probably really good for kids too
It's incredubulous, awsomeatron, no need for manual or instructions, in fact less, it's unbelievaloide, enjoying working it all out. Magnificent! Update, just found rhythm and now want to have a baby with this app. Mazetools Soniface is the most beautiful "artificial intelligence" I have ever encountered. Awesome app to experiment with. Difficult to use, due to small UI. Needs better detailed instructions, or some kind of link to full docs. There's great potential here, for sure.
This is and excellent App for creating unique music, béats, and vouvarious sounds and sound variations with the ability to add effects and change other sound dynamics. Then you have the ability to record your creation. Thank you for another high Quality German Product‼️

Using it on a mobile is almost impossible, everything is just too close together and for some reason, I can't use it at all using blue oth headphones

I really want to like this synth but the user interface is unintuitive and infuriating. The font is hard to read to begin with but the font is also needlessly tiny and there's no indication it can be changed. The "help" tips are unhelpful and vauge at best. The UI is so out of the way it's hard to tell what's going on much of the time. Don't get this unless you're already somehow an expert of this particular synth layout.
