mBDL

The mBDL (mobile Data Bank on Forests) application allows direct access to forest maps on phones and tablets. The basic content of the application are BDL forest thematic maps, such as: basic map, stand map, ownership forms, forest habitats, plant communities and a hunting map. In addition to industry maps, the user has the option of displaying predefined raster foundations, e.g. a topographic map or an air / satellite orthophotomap, as well as maps from external WMS services. The addresses of the most popular websites, eg cadastral data, orthophotomap or GDOĊš website, are permanently stored in the application, which makes their use easier. Other, any WMS sites can be connected by entering a specific URL, which is then stored in the application.
After downloading the appropriate data, the application also works when there is no connection to the Internet. The mechanism of downloading data for offline work enables the use of maps of forest districts and national parks. With maps, which are saved in raster form, for vector forests PGL LP are downloaded vector data with descriptive attributes.
From the mBDL application, the user has online access to a full tax description for the forests of all forms of ownership. The description includes, among others species of trees and shrubs occurring in a given place, their detailed description, forest address, economic indications and much more.
The application is additionally equipped with a number of useful functionalities in the field: point recording from the GPS location or from the indication on the map, route recording and simple navigation to the indicated point. Saved points and routes can be exported in the form of a KML file, sent to the world in any way or imported to another device where the mBDL application is installed.
In mBDL, you can find forest separations based on the so-called forest address. This tool works just like searching on the internet portal.
In the Help menu there is also a manual describing the basic functionalities, which you should familiarize yourself with at the beginning of using the application.
