Didn't even bother buying a ticket with this app as it's much cheaper to buy it online.
Full menu not showing...can only purchase 10x hot drinks....only need 1 thanks
I can't even log in. I'm using same pass as for a website and it does not work.
Live departures feature next to useless since Uber took over
Horrible app, horrible service, horrible website.
Easy to use
Would have been more stars, but the app can't tell the difference between being updated and being installed on a new device which is really annoying
- It requires 3 clicks to show active ticket and that is the most frequent op - No way to pay without saving card details - No way to delete card details - Live departure is obscured
Currently there are two Blackfriars piers in the 'Live Departures' menu. One with a full stop and one without. Neither of these show all of the available services. Please can this be fixed? The same issue also affects Embankment Pier in live departures.
The UI is a bit all over the place but the app works great and is very useful if you get the clippers a lot
Ok as a place to store an eTicket. But time is wrong by a few hours when ticket is activated. Live arrivals do not match times displayed at piers. And why no mobile version of schedules? If users want a desktop version of the PDF schedule they can already get this from the website. Not much of a travel tool.
Still doesn't support discount codes like the online web site does. ...6 months later...Still doesn't support discount codes like the online web site does. This is now becoming a problem and will probably force me to abandon the daily clipper.
Barely better than using seaweed
The home screen was a bit off, but the developers fixed the issue promptly. Much better that waiting in line for a ticket.
It's really a good idea to have a M-ticket is You get to board the boat quicker, saves time, It's cashless paying, you won't lose your paper ticket that you are buying from the ticket office or from the ticket machine and you can purchase your ticket at anytime when you want.
Great app. Can now leave the office at exactly the right time to catch my boat. Important in the winter when it's cold, and in the summer when boat times are random due to the volume of tourists. But it needs to be renamed Thames Clippers, instead of Thames Tickets, as it does more than just tickets. You need to promote this on board, I only found out by chance talking to one of your tech savvy crew.
Supposed live updates seem random. The boat is 20 mins away. Then it disappears off the list. Then 5 mins later it's 3 mins away. No use to man nor fish.
Reducing another star. Was logged off again. Twice in a day :-/ The latest version is really unstable. I have now logged on at least four times. Quite frustrating as I realised I have been logged off just when I was about to show my ticket before boarding. I had to request them to let me get on as this app wasn't behaving. Shall I go back to paper and uninstall this non dependable app??!!
Can't set card expiry date on payment page, so can't buy any tickets.
Cant change the year on card payment screen
Wants inappropriate access to files and media. All I want to do is buy a river bus ticket. Why queue? Just buy onboard with Oyster or card.
Encountered same issue reported by other reviewers. Says my email address is invalid. August 2015 update - problem still unresolved. Emailed following and my post here but email wasn't responded to.
I've managed to buy one ticket ever. It refuses to log in, nondescript error. Maybe a wrong password? Try reset and it refuses to do this too, all you get is a "something went wrong" error message.
Little slow to update for latest android but otherwise a great app.
Dear dear. The main reason I got the app was because the online timetable is unreadable on a phone. But the app only shows the next departures or gives you access to the unreadable timetable! The app doesn't tell you but unless you put a capital in your password it rejects it as too weak. It doesn't seem to give the oyster card discount just a travelcard one. To add insult to injury it then hangs.
Want the skip the queue at embankment? Download this crappy app and save yourself 15 mins
I've uninstalled and reinstalled it to try to stop the problems, but it hasn't helped. I'm trying to buy a season ticket, which I've done successfully before, but it crashes every time I get to the payment page. Also, as others have reported, sometimes the back button stops working, and you have to force the app to quit and restart it. When it does work, it's very convenient, but the problems are too serious to rely on it.
Thames Clipper is completely unreliable in terms of actual service. The app timetable is just as bad. Waited 30 minutes for a boat, it arrived and cancelled. The next one wasn't stopping where I needed but was 10 minutes, then reinforced 15 minutes.. and the app said 20 minutes.
