Finally, an MBTA app with all the features I need. Has timer/alert notifications and a robust bookmarking system that actually works. You can rename bookmarks, and color-code them, so choosing a bus to get to work, or to get home, is easier at a glance than with any other app.
Lots of next-bus apps let you set bookmarks, but this is the only app I've found that actually displays arrival times on the bookmark screen itself. All the other apps make you click through to each individual stop to see arrival times. Since I live close to several different bus lines that stop in different places but all get me where I want to go, it's a *huge* time-saver to have the estimated times for all of them appear automatically when I start this app, because I can tell immediately which stop I need to go to. Other reviews complain that the predicted times aren't always accurate, which is true but misleading. This app, just like all the others, gets the data from the T's data feed, so there's very little any app author can do about its accuracy.
Accurate bus schedules for all routes. But it could use an update for such routes as the 426 for when it arrives to go in the direction of Haymarket during the weekday.
Had to reset my phone and I have at least 20 bookmarks and it looks like I'm going to have to manually do it all over. No bueno. I would've thought that with the pro version there would be some type of backup system.
Just spending a tiny bit of money on this app has made my days smoother. I don't have a car so this app tells me exactly when to leave. As opposed to a schedule written by MBTA, this app follows the buses from their GPS trackers. Written schedules can only be so accurate, things like traffic or no passengers to pick up/drop off effects the timing of a bus. This App updates w/ frequency you choose so you know exactly when to make your bus. Thank you so much, this is so helpful
Best mbta app if you are someone who uses a bunch of routes regularly. The bookmark screen is great, and you can rename the bookmarks.
It's pretty acurate. I hope they add trains in the future. I love that I can bookmark specific stops.
I think this app deserves a much better ranking. I used all the apps recommended on mbta websites and it's a shame that this one which is the best one isn't there
I didnt realize how useful the bookmark view with times only in the pro version is. Fantastic app. Quick, minimalistic, easy to use, to the point.
About once per month it disallows opening of the app and says that I have to go 'purchase the license in the play store' when I obviously already have it. Forced to use free version.. When it does work though it's amazing! 5 stars without the bug
I live by this app! I don't have a car and I take several transfers...bus to bus to train.... and knowing where my bus is, is very helpful.
I use it every day, and it makes my commute a whole lot easier.
Good so far, five stars if ability to merge bookmarks such that the times for two buses can be seen in the preview. Also, CT1 shows up as 701!
Whatever it was that messed up the prevrous version so much is now fixed. Works great. Interface could be a bit better.
So much better than the free version
Easily the best app for the MBTA
Edit: The accuracy of this app has significantly diminished and is no longer reliable. I've noticed a trend of "phantom buses" where the app will say that there is a bus coming in 5 minutes, then 4 minutes later it jumps up to 10 minutes or more. It's a shame since this app used to be a go-to for daily trip planning.
