This app gets the real-time locations (GPS) of MBTA Buses. It uses the feed provided by MBTA in getting the current location of buses in and around the Boston(neighborhood) and the surrounding areas. You can also use this to know the exact bus location if the predicted time of arrival is incorrect.
Features:
- Real time locations overlayed on Google maps along with the user's current location
- Shows the current direction and the time since the bus reported its last known location (typically 30-40 seconds).
- Live Traffic data embedded onto Google maps so you will know if a bus is stuck in a traffic jam.
- Shows the bus route so that you get a clear idea of where the bus is heading.
- Bookmarking your favorite bus routes for convenience and fast access.
- Added ability to recognize the direction of buses directly from the image.
Instructions: Go to bus listings
- (Can be bookmarked) Click on the a bus route and you will see the current locations of the bus serving this route.Clicking on any of the markers provides additional information such as direction and last reported time.

Most times when I use this app I will get a message that says the app has stopped working. There have been very few times when this app has worked without a problem.
It is usually right on the DOT it is really handy and thanks to this app I am not standing for long at the bus stops. If the map shows me the bus is really far I just begin walking to the train station which will get me there faster then waiting for the darn bus!!
This is a lightweight app that doesn't use much data. It is also very accurate, and can help me plan out my trip. Used on android 2.3.6.
Works well, the only time I ever have a problem is when I turn off my GPS but it runs well I just appear a few blocks up or down the street

Where is the feature to look up the subway schedule?
Time schedules in real time showing minutes to arrival to arriving now would be a great added plus feature that would make this app outstanding and amazing!

Let's you know exactly when the bus is coming. Saved me a lot of time and waiting in the cold. Gives updates in a minute or less
