Wanted to order but the app added a tip... for the pickup window. What am I tipping for? You're not delivering it to me, which I'd get for free if I was inside. I can remove the tip but I don't want my food spat in or get half the amount. Forcing me to pay extra is illegal. It's called extortion. Pay your employee's better.

I JUST downloaded the app so I can sign up for a promo that I was given for the unlimited drinks club. I can't sign up for the club until I select a location. I can't select a location unless they're open and available to take orders. Other than that, I can't go any further in the app. I'll try once the offices open and I can select a location otherwise, I'll delete the app and be done with them.

Menu in app doesn't quite coincide with restaurant's offerings: side choices didn't include Mac and Cheese, and fountain drinks didn't include Diet Dr Pepper. If I order in person at the register, I can order those items.

First time in the restaurant... Signs EVERYWHERE say, use the app for tableside ordering. We sat down, installed the app, SIGNED UP, started to order... From "select location" I tried to choose the restaurant we were sitting in—the one covered in "use the app" signs—and it wouldn't let me... saying "online ordering not available." So finally I decided to at least use it to view the menu before we stood at the counter. But you can't even do that without choosing your location! Total time waste.

If I could rate this app a 0, I would!! I have tried to use it several time and I NEVER RECEIVE ANY POINTS!! EVEN AFTER CALLING AND TALKING TO SOMEONE AT MCALISTER'S.

Deleted app after trying to use it once. Poorly designed interface. Adding a salad to your cart requires choosing a dressing, which makes sense. But where to choose the dressing is not intuitive. It's mixed in with salad ingredients instead of a separate option or under customization options. If you choose chips as a side, you can't add them to the cart without choosing a flavor, but the options are no where to be found. The same issue is on their website.

Only thing I think this app needs is to be able to order thru the app and have the option to pay cash once you pick it up. That would be great to be able to earn points when it's your husband's turn to pay and he only uses cash. Thank you.

Easy to use and the earning points for rewards like free drinks, desserts and meals can't be beat. Points add up quickly and very easy to redeem. If you don't have it, it's worth the download.

At one time it was a useful App! Now it's useless! McAllester's has lost several meal orders from me due to this App not working properly! I now just go to a different restaurant App instead of wasting my time trying to make an order on this App. I wonder how many others just go somewhere else for the same reason!?

I love the pic too you get plenty of food for the price and good quality food at that.

I used this app all of the time until recently. Now when I login, it times out. I tried it on another phone and the same thing happens. Tried reinstalling, same issue. It's a shame, I enjoyed eating there.

They charge you an extra fee for ordering where the app. That makes no sense. The company saves time and money by not having to pay for extra cashiers for someone to take phone orders which they don't charge extra for. Also automatically adds a tip. I've never understood why people expect to be tipped for putting my food in a bag

Changing my 5 star review to 1 star and deleting app. It was great when it worked! I loved being able to order for pick up (although the option to order ahead for dine in would be awesome too!) and the rewards were great offers to use. But no rewards for almost 6 months (if not more) and errors whenever trying to order have made it a waste of space on my phone for the time being. If it's ever up and running properly again, we'll see.

Spent 10 minutes making the order and tried to checkout.. I get the "oops, one or more items can't be ordered right now. try changing items in your cart". This error is COMPLETELY USELESS. Also, if I did care to go through the process of trying to figure out which item is the issue, I don't see an obvious way of modifying the cart contents short of restarting the app and losing the entire order. Also, the food selections need descriptions! This is a good looking, but useless app!

For the most part, the app is alright the few issues I've run across is that once you choose a car from your choices for curbside, you can't change it to a different one. Also, once you place your order, it says to click "I'm here" so they know you've arrived. However, once you close the screen or change apps, it disappears. Going into your recent orders doesn't bring up the button either, and it's not posted in the confirmation email. Its overall frustrating.

Not even counting that the rewards system is awful, this app sucks. It's way easier to order online. Quite often, the app says the restaurant is out of something. It doesn't tell you what and could even be on something you've taken off. I've found this is very common on seasonal items. If you order the same thing online, it will go through, and I've had no issues at the restaurant with them actually out. This also doesn't have an option for pay in store. So you can't use it of you have a coupon.

Inventory has not been correct for the locations in my area for months. Never has the correct soups, chilli, etc. then if you try to order a spud and add chilli, which it still lists as an option, the app errors and doesn't let you continue. Plus, the error is not even one that indicates the issue. this forces one into the store, which is less vhan ideal during a pandemic. Giving the individual stores the ability to control their own inventory would be a good start. Then fix the error messages.

Updated review: After a bad experience, I gave the app a second chance. I was able to place an order with zero problems from selecting menu items and payment. I am disappointed, though, that I was not able to select curbside pickup. However, I'm not going to penalize on stars this time as the food was immediately ready when I stepped in the restaurant.

The app works perfectly about 95% of the time. Sometimes it won't let me check out saying that "something I am ordering isn't available" at the location I am ordering from, but that won't actually be true because I am getting tea and a salad. I just have to redo the order a couple times to get it through. Other than that, I love getting the coupons through the app! I really enjoy eating there, so the app definitely speeds things up sometimes.

App didn't work when I 1st installed it. 1) It required that I allow for my location to be given before it would let me move forward. 2) Once I did that, it was like it was frozen or in a loop. There was no option or way for me to get to the home page or the rewards page to scan my receipts. Nothing worked except location. Very annoying. And very disappointing for a company whose food and service we love. Later I Uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Seems to be working now.

Have been a customer for years and had the app for 2+years. Worked fine for 8-9 months with the rewards program for my purchases. However the rewards program has not worked for over a year now. I have emailed corporate when I first noticed and received some meals from them but, this pales in comparison to what the app would have given over this time. Don't bother with this app unless you just want to order online. That's all it's good for and even that fails sometimes.

Update: The app is now working and I was able to add my favorite location. I rebooted my phone & that seemed to help. I appreciate the developers reaching out. It shows they care about their product. I upgraded to the new version of this app and now it will not let me select my favorite location. My location is not listed even though it's on the map that the app provides, and it's on the McAlister's website. So if I can't choose the McAlister's that I go to regularly, then I can't use the app.

This app is terrible. It never works. It wont take my payment information so you have to call, which is some random call center so they don't take payment and you have to still pay when you pick up. it also never let's me select window pick up even though our location has a window. what's the point of this app if you still have to go in and wait in line? 20 minute wait for a pick up is longer than just walking in and ordering since you have to go in anyway.

Love the food disappointed in the app. Works when it wants to. Rewards rarely show up. App needs signifigant improvement but overall content is good. love the menu options and details. although as of this week I went to order twice now and only part of the menu shows up. No kids menus, no choose 2 option's, no shareable. I have 2 kids kind of need kids meals.

Enjoy the ease of the app, but wish that it gave options that are available in the store (spinach) to add to customization. I've also had issues with my payment where it shows successful, but it doesn't reach the store or alert me that there was an issue. I then get to the store to find that my order wasn't received and now have to wait on it which uses my lunch time :(

There's no way to create an order ahead of time so that I can choose a table when at the restaurant. At the very least, I should be able to do this. The Chik Fil A app is what every other restaurant that offers app ordering should strive for. Also I had to restart the app when creating my table side order. It's faster to go to the front of there aren't many people in line.

After placing my order I got a confirmation that it was within the estimated time of pickup. When I went to go pick it up there was no order in the store . Upon checking my email I found out that my order "failed". It was embarrassing. I ended up going somewhere else to eat and that same credit card that I used on the app work just fine. I used to like the app because you could customize items easily, but lately too many issues. This app cost your company money today!

Love McAlister's, the only thing is don't get the tea pass. It's more hassle than it's worth. You can use it in the app, you have to go into the store. Sometimes it doesn't work and I am told that I need to renew when I only got it a couple of weeks ago and it's FOR 30 DAYS and I still get a tea pass everyday. I just took my card off so it wouldn't renew if it tries to. And they try to make you pay for lemonade when you ask for half lemonade and half tea, even though the app let me choose half.

Not the Chick-fil-A quality. Has my card on file I can use for mobile order, but doesn't charge it when ordering in person, still have to swipe the card. The points don't work half of the time, have to manually punch in the receipt, and I had situations when the receipts didn't have the necessary information on them, so I didn't get the points. I contacted the support through the app with a question and never heard back. Bottom line the app has very basic functions, but can't compete with others

This app could be sooo much better. The customizing needs improvement. If ordering a sandwich you can swap or change the bread but not the cheese. Why not? When ordering a salad you can delete the meat but you can't swap it like in the restaurant. I prefer turkey on my salad to chicken but that's not an option on the app unless I pay extra. Also there's no place for comments when placing the order. This app is inferior to other restaurant apps.
