The 20 second video ads load flawlessly. Unfortunately, even if you're cool with that, the video that you're sitting through the ad for doesn't always load. Also finding the X button on their pop up ads is akin to playing Where's Waldo. That aside, it's a decent app. I think I might just stick to visiting the site on a browser.

Update: I have always respected the unique storytelling and high quality of the journalism at McClatchy. That is why I said it was a pity that my old eyes couldn't read the tiny font. Thank you for listening to my complaint and solving the problem, I have reinstalled the app and am happily reunited with a conscientious, dedicated, and dependable news source. Unlike many other news organization apps which can't be moved to SD card, this one installs directly to the SD card and has a very small memory footprint (which is important if you have an AT&T phone jammed with crapware). The User Interface is clean and well-organized and there are enough options to customize the content it downloads to satisfy all but the pickiest of users. If you like McClatchy coverage of news you'll like this. (And if you don't then why are you bothering to read this?)
