Currently doesn't work with launchBox, please update file path permissions so that launch box can access the game files. Emulator works great but it's annoying having to leave my main game hub and navigate multiple file paths to play sega genesis games.

Audio Issues Save State Issues Sega CD Compatability Issues Not compatible with zip files. Lots of potential but there's better choices out there right now that are free. The only thing this has over GenPlusDroid is a mapable menu button. Pico Drive core for retroarch works much better for Sega CD. Hope to see this app optimized for lower end devices like the RP2+ and see more Sega CD compatibility. Plus have the Ram save and save state not tied together.

This is the Genesis emulator you want. Go try "Snes9x EX+" free from the same developer to see if you like how the controls and such operate. They work the same way. This is an especially good emulator for keyboard phones like the Unihertz Titan Pocket, and it can play ROMs from SDcard storage in Android 11.

Can't save. I've granted the app storage permission, but it cannot make save files and the app says, "This folder lacks write access". My device has limited internal storage, so saving on the sd card is preferable. This problem occurs in all of the .emu emulators which I have purchased.

Love playing Megadrive/Genesis games on my Google TV. Absolutely awesome and the developer is extremally responsive. Definite 5*

Really love the emulators that are made by the developer. They have great quality and play my files without any issues. BUT....when I want to record a video via another app on my phone to record gameplay since I stream often it doesn't let the audio from the emulator be recorded onto the video. It records the video but no audio. That is my o ly gripe.

Works exactly as you would expect an emulator to from my experience. Haven't had any problems so far anyway. UI is easy to navigate. It has a speedhack which is convenient. All in all pretty solid. I don't know what else to say, it's exactly what it says on the tin.

Recently started pausing and opening the emu's menu randomly whenever I try to play on Google TV device. No other emulator has this problem. 1 star until fixed. No excuses from dev accepted.

Excellent, with lots of great added features. It's great that you can exit a game and it automatically saves the game state, meaning when you run game again it picks up where you left off. very authentic emulator, I know this because I owned a megadrive. I hope Robert, the developer, continues to write more emulators for android. I certainly would buy them.

FINALLY!! A MegaDrive emulator that lest me run all my roms in full screen on my TV with a Bluetooth controller. I tried a few others before I found this and they were either full of adds or terrible or both. One would not even let me use full screen mode. This one is PERFECT for my needs. It easily gets 5 stars and well worth buying.

It runs smoothly enough, but for some reason every time I boot it up, it seems to have either forgotten, or cross-wired the button layouts I had set up. This has happened across multiple devices (GPD XD+, Chromebook, Xperia mobile). I can't comment on whether this happens for touch screen controls, as I've never used them. This happens across all emulators that seem to have this same infastructure and UI; not just limited to MD.

this is perfect just like his nes and snes emulators. his snes emulator is free, or at least was when i got it, so if it still is i recommend trying it and if you love it, you'll love them all. i've tried some other ones that were ok, but this one has em beat for be because of how responsive my ps4 controller is when connected. in other emulatotors it works well enough for most games but button input is sometimes laggy or doesn't read a button press at all sometimes.

Used to work great and was my favorite emulator. Lately it doesn't want to load anything. I've tried everything, multiple bios, different versions of roms, etc. Always just a black screen on anything that's CD. You can sometimes get farther unzipping everything but it still freezes a most of the time on otherwise working games. Galaxy Note 10+ running Android 11

This emulator works amazing except for iso files. When I try to select file for USA cd bios the iso files dissappear. My android device is samsung galaxy a32 5g.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB E Ver. 8.5 I like this Emulator a lot, primarily because it has the ability to play some games vertically from the GENESIS or the MEGA DRIVE Counsels. Unlike the other AndroGens APP that used to be on Google Play Store. It did not have the ability to play any game vertically, which I think some games were ment to be played vertically. With that said, the only thing stopping me from giving this app 5 STARS is because of the fact that for some reason there is a little latency factor, when I push any button or move my joystick on my Bluetooth controller there is a little delay in its execution. That is the only thing that the APP of AndroGens got right, right off the bat. And I also have that app. I only got this app because I thought that it was that good if not better, I was wrong. With that said, can you PLEASE give this app an update and fix this problem for all of users. THANK YOU

Would be the best emulator out there but it won't work with front ends for some reason. Says permission denied.

My thumb's are too big for the display controls. Otherwise very nostalgic.

I love this app! As far as sega emulators go for android this is the best. I've been using emulators for over 15 years and this is one of the most reliable and updated I've seen. It's only missing one thing... 32X support! Please add this! Then 32-bit cartridge and graphically enhanced CD games could be played!!!

Great SMS/Genesis/Sega CD emulator. Works with every game I have tried. Great features and very good customization. Interface can be hard to navigate but not a big issue. The lack of 32x (and CD 32x) support is the biggest gripe.

it crashes more often than I would like. more often than NES.EMU anyway. I only really have one complaint. PLEASE ADD WIDGETS. I know it seems like a dumb request. And the ability to shortcut games is already built in. But I like to dress up my apps sometimes. and these Custom Icon apps do not recognize the built in app shortcuts. They do however recognize them on the MyBoy. The MyBoy has widget support. That's all. Otherwise it's amazing. Try making a custom icon for one game to see what I mean.

This is the absolute best Sega genesis emulator. I've tried them all and honestly haven't found a better emulator. It's free and all of this devs emulators I've downloaded work perfectly and exceeded my expectations. It's honestly a lot better than the actual pay emulators. This is the real deal. I've had this emulator for years now. Perfectly made and better than a actual Sega Genesis console. 👌 just wish I could assign different button mappings to specific games.

Great Port, but I would love the option to play multi-player through wifi on an update, because I can tell my friends and family to get it to play with me, and that would mean more money in your pocket. I think a few other paid emulators might have that option.

Have this installed on my Nvidia Shield and is working flawlessly. Easily 4 star rating. However, just installed on my Pixel 3a, using ipega 9087s gamepad but the emulator does not recognise the d-pad. Tried numerous settings, but cannot figure out how to get it to work. Does anyone know of a fix? Edit: still have not figured it out but more than likely an android issue,so now I give it 4 stars, excellent emulator.

This app is AMAZING. Very simple interface once you get used to it. I was even able to get it to play Sega CD games after uploading the correct BIOS into the app. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a high quality Sega Genesis emulator.

This app is great, functional and versatile. However, would it be possible to add 8:7 aspect ratio in the video option? Either way I appreciate the time you took to make this app(s) and to continue improving as always.

The performance of this app on the Nvidia Shield is fantastic. The only thing which let's it down is the UX and UI of the app. Support for a library function with game cover art would be the icing on the cake for this emulator.

App runs great and fairly easy to use with genesis and has good controller support however i can not get the cd working. Tried multiple diffrent bios and roms with no luck. Also a visual library would be a nice addition, maybe something along the lines of epsxe or mupen.
