MD.emu Free

Great app. Please make it so we can have the option to make the emulator display double side-by-side screens so we can use VR headsets to play games in 3D on our mobile phones with bluetooth gamepads. I know that it would not turn it into full Virtual Reality but it could make a nice 3D effect to play games with.

I have big hands, there should be an option where I can drag the buttons as far left or right as I can, so as not to obscure vision. There are preset options, but even so, it doesn't maximize every inch of the screen borders. I dont want a preset option, I want to be able to click-drag the d-pad and buttons exactly where I want them to be. Even arrange the buttons vertically. I believe you had this feature in the older version, but for some reason, it was taken out.

I know it isn't easy to make a good Genesis emulator, but you guys did it very well. Just one issue is the framerate isn't consistent with all games I tried. (Sonic and Streets of This Rage trilogy) But this is the best on the play store at the moment.

So far it seems like a good emulator, dare I say one of the best! I would really like to see cheat search feature similar to those used by fpse and superlegacy16 rather than having to copy and paste/type in individual codes. If that feature was added I would not only be very grateful, but I would gladly start telling all my friends to consider getting your emulator!!

Works great, no complaints! The controls are great and there's a ton of customization which other apps are lacking. And it has full directional control which, again, some apps are lacking. Its an early install for me but so far I love it! (only tried it with Sega Genesis Games so far) And the screen rotation is a plus allowing me to choose which orientation I want to play with. Vertical is Gameboy style!

This emulator does an okay job, Sega CD acts like it skips, or repeats. The game needs to stretch to the top and bottom of the screen, while maintaining the correct aspect ratio. Come on fix this issue! To update this review it still needs to have the screen issue corrected, it should be able to take up the full screen, and have an option to touch the screen while tilted to the side to stretch completely top to bottom, while maintaining the correct aspect ratio.

Used on Nvidia Shield. There is a screen issue with this, the whole screen including menus is shifted down about 7 mm. What this does is make the game play screen smaller because it scales to a smaller screen size with big border on the top. None of the other emus from same author do this, must be a bug. Need to be able to use game controls to scroll menus/ROM selector too. It works in game, why not menus? D-pad can scroll up/down, D-pad left Page up a page at a time, D-pad right page down a page at a time. Makes browsing large ROMsets faster (MAME for Droid/4all does this). Will reduce finger swiping time/screen smudging. Game button selects Menu option. With the growing list of devices using physical controls like Shield, and all of the other iCade, icontrolpad etc emus should be more controller friendly I think.

The app works incredibly well, but as one, and possibly more, reviewer before me said, there's a glitch that shifts the entire screen area down a bit (thus making the games very stretched out when fit to the screen). Otherwise a great emulator.

The only real problem I experienced with this is that the OS navigation buttons are always on screen causing me to accidentally exit my game as I'm playing. It doesn't reset and I can continue without losing progress, but its super annoying. The option to hide them is there, but if you touch the screen it unhides them and if you're playing, you're always touching your screen. Purpose defeated.. I would like to see 32X. If it has it, I didn't see it. I didn't try 32X roms. It has CD support. So it says. I didn't test it. Looks like BIOS are required for CD to work.. Overall it is really good. Prob better if you're using a BT controller so you don't accidentally hit the back button.. And the last minor nuisance, the screen is too low. It touches the bottom of your screen in landscape, but prob about half inch from top. No way to resize it. There are better free Genesis emus in the play store.

Okay, this is finally what I want from a mobile Genesis emulator. It doesn't get in my way, forcing orientations or options or layouts. I can adjust button and D-pad sensitivity. Good sound emulation (which is rare for the Genesis). The only catch is Master System/GG support: spotty and non-existent (best I can tell). Half the SMS games I try won't load -- no Zillion, Double Dragon. GG games just don't show up. It would be a little weird to support SMS but not GG, as they're basically the same console.

This is the best Sega Genesis/CD emulator they all do there best to mimic quality of oringal for play on the go. Oh and by the way, The person named giannela rodiquez is incorrect about it working for 32x and not CD it is the opposite of that. CD works but you need to supply your own bios. And 32x doesn't work because it dosent even run and no bios is around to fix that. 😯 other then that AWESOME EMULATOR!

Why is MD emu no longer searchable in play store? Better back up this app of you want to keep the free version. Only way to find it, was to go to installed apps. Lucky it was backed up on previous device SD card. Also it's, Add free! xD

I wish you could add the Sega 32x feature, I will rate 5 stars if it's updated and the 32x feature added

This is what I've been searching for! All the other Genesis/MD emulators don't come with a cheats option for game genie codes. This one does and it works great. However, it constantly, and randomly unbinds my gamepad, which has never had a problem with any emulator except for this one, and during game play it just stops working. Everything but the start button stops working. It got to where though I rebind all the keys, it recognized the game pad and all it's buttons when first plugged in, it still doesn't want to work right. It needs more work.

There is a HUGE BUG\FLAW. The controls seem to freeze or become unresponsive for a few seconds a lot during game play, which is frustrating. :( Update: The paid version runs way better than this one.

Has some bugs here and there. Can't give it five stars, because it will not allow you to save your state, or auto save.

Seems good so far, graphics seem clearer than the previous emulator I used. Only downfall is there isn't any speed up option, I'm playing shining force 1 and there's so much talking and I wanted to be able to fast forward past it. Or is this already a feature and I haven't found it yet?

It's weird because my other emulators work fine. This one has a shrunk display, pushed to the bottom of the screen, with about a 1 inch gap of black to the left and above (landscape mode)

Most of the FMV games do not work with this app.don't know why Retroarch plays ALL Sega CD and 32X games with no problem! Fix this and I believe it might be as good. .. if not better then RA.until then uninstalled until this is fixed

No ads but the screen leaves a space at the top in landscape orientation. A verticle row of buttons would be a nice option for the on screen controls. Saves only work if you store the games on your system and not on an external memory card. Other than that, perfect!

Love that I can play sega games, how ever, disappointed that can only find 1 sega cd game that it will play. I'd be fine with using the pic has ed one if this were fixed...

The emulator, is GREAT! unlike other emulators, this one runs on NTSC versions and the other emulators ALWAYS runs on PAL versions. Two questions. I have trouble playing Sonic CD and never works. I would love an update fixing this, and when using a bluetooth keyboard, the controls are a little unresponsive (takes about 8 milliseconds for emulator to realizea button has been pressed). Anyway, get emulator NOW!!!

The emulator in itself is almost flawless, if not fantastic even, the only real problem for me is that it does not use the full screen, there is rather large gap at the top and if you don't have the biggest screen you'll end up having a very small play-window. I tried stretchting and everything but the top border remains there. It as if the developer had ads in that spot once but forgot to re-adjust the menus and stuff when he took them out. I'll give full five stars if this is fixed but until then I'll probably stick to a different emulator so I can use the entire screen area. This would otherwise be my favourite!

It's a really good emulator. Everything works great. But their is one problem... Sega CD/Mega CD games don't play. Your description says you can play Sega CD games but it won't budge. Unless I'm doing it wrong. But it doesn't read Sega CD games. It's still a good emulator overall.

but when i use landscape mode, there is a 1/4 black screen that i see. So far, game play's smooth
