I usually don't rate app, but this one is really ridiculous. It won't even let me log in, either using fingerprint or password, because it the app thinks that I'm not connected to the internet. If I'm not connected, why are all the apps on my phone working and online with no problem? My phone is connected, both on Wi-Fi, or data, but this joke of an app doesn't even recognize it. Edit: updated my rating to reflect recent improvements.
The app it self can have issues but it's technology and not as bad as it could be. I give the app itself a 3 out of 5. It is definitely workable. However the fact that it's here is a true blessing. Don't get frustrated with it but definitely use. The help outweighs any bugs. The help I received and the improvement definitely a 5.
The app is buggy. For 2 months it was impossible to make an appointment because it wouldn't take my insurance and payment, even though I confirmed that it would take both. It just magically started working again. Sometimes I can't join my appointment because it is too buggy and it's little time logo just spins saying that the provider will be with me and it never connects.
There is lots of room for improvement. I got sent back to the start multiple times when trying to schedule my appointment. Then I failed to connect with the Dr. Then had to start all over again. Feature idea. Save inputs for 24 hours when trying to book like symptoms, length etc. Keep enjoying that insurance money!
Don't trust this app!! It's HORRIBLE. They charged me for a telephone appointment, even though I have a BCBS PPO that was approved BEFORE the appointment. When I emailed them I was told to call customer service. I called customer service and was told there was nothing she could do to help me. I tried updating it in the app over a dozen times and kept getting notifications that they were experiencing technical difficulties. So I email 3 more times and was told they couldn't help.
The app is fine. I like that you can use fingerprint to get in. The only criticism is that you cannot minimize the screen or go to any other function on your phone without disconnecting your appointment. So when my therapist asked to schedule and I pull up my calendar it automatically disconnects us from the appointment. In fairness, getting back into the appointment is very easy after you log back into the app. But it is a flaw in the app design.
I had inital issues with the app, I ended up un-installing the app and then reinstalling. It is extremely convient to be able to call or have a video chat with a doctor to take care of an ear ache or seasonal allergies.
BROKEN BEWARE The app tells you that your account is no longer active but then never send you the email when you try to reset your password. The only way you can access it is to try and create a new account to which it'll send you a code but never let you reset your password. Then when you finally do have an appointment it loads indefinitely but never connects you to a doctor
So far i am liking the app. But after many other app's not working well,i have to wait to give my 100 percent. So far 5 stars. Update no issues with the app. Would suggest this to anyone who uses mdlive....added 5/9/22 only had one issue with the app. I had a appt and the app seem like it was not working,I logged out then back in,still was telling me wait till we connect to your appointment. But other than that,I still give the app 5 stars...
This app has so many issues. For starters I have to open and close the app at least twice everytime before I can login otherwise it just keeps giving error notifications. It loads everything extremely slowly and some things don't work no matter how many times I click kn them. Recently it keeps quitting out of nowhere with no warning. This app and platform is so bugged and ridiculous.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Not worth the headache. Absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had in my life. First their doctor did not show up for a scheduled appointment. They then proceeded to bill me incorrectly for their mistake and I am still fighting 4 months later to have it corrected. Their customer service reps are useless as all they can do is submit tickets that basically go into to nowhere land with 0 follow-up. Tried this service for the convenience. Never again!
Update 2/21/22 - found messages and everything is wonderful! Great service, easy appointment setting and billing is quick. The occasional connection issues can cause delays and cut into session times. It would be nice to have a easier way to communicate with providers via email or text in between appointments.
App works great, policies are reasonable. A little pricey for generic refills that amount to 3 minute appointments, but it's fast and convenient.
App was updated Mar. 2, now I can't login. "Unable to load needed services. Application will now exit" Update: app is now working. It's not the app that's the problem, it's the quality of doctors available, so my one-star review stands.
App experience is wonderful. I experienced occasional video corruption and audio garble, technical glitch. I was able to receive awesome professional support despite the glitches. Otherwise I would have delayed treatment without MDLIVE. Thank you!
Absolutely terrible. They don't treat or do anything, really, and the application and support is subpar. Frequent glitches, errors in scheduling, etc. Do not trust this for your healthcare needs. You can get better, more comprehensive help for cheaper elsewhere.
The data entry is quirky. I had to enter my payment info like ten times before I figured out that certain fields were resetting themselves after I moved onto the next. However, the doctors have all been great and you can't beat the convenience.
These people keep getting my legitimate 1 star reviews deleted. I'm not going to rewrite it every time. The app is easy to use, but costs at least 82 dollars without insurance. Also, they can't help with prescriptions for controlled substances. They won't tell you that up front though; they take uour money before telling you they can't help. But, if you have insurance, it's good for a Dr. note but not much else.
It had been difficult of late to get the video to load. Had come out and go in twice to connect with my provider.
Extremely quick care when you know your issue. I've done visits for sinus infections and ear infections. So much easier than trying to get in to see my primary care physician or wait at an urgent care.
The convenience is amazing. Quick response, never leave home, don't have to wait around other sick people. When you have minor things that don't require in person consults, this is fantastic!
The app itself has a lot of bugs like when I try to video chat with someone it won't connect to my headphones and my only play through my phone speakers however the app has helped me out a lot
Google Play store won't allow me the option to edit my previous review, but I wanted to write an update to my previous technical issue on 4/17/2022. I no longer have an issue using the app, and it has worked fine since!
Awesome app!!! I highly recommend this app! I had a little trouble registering for the first time online so I called the help number provided and the lady who helped was WONDERFUL!! She was polite, courteous and patient. It took no time at all for her to get me registered. The doctor called me in less than 5 mins from when I booked the appointment and was extremely nice and helpful as well! I will definitely be using this app from now on!
Uh. Don't waste your time. It showed a wait time of less than 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I get a call from mdlive telling me the provider was ready. By the time I hung up the phone the provider had said I missed the appointment. This was all within one minute. No thanks.
Editing my original experience it's a joke. I have an appointment set up it just so happens that I can hear the therapist but they can't hear me. And they don't even pick up the phone and actually call You even if you were having a problem. Now I have a Reschedule appointment for more than a month away. End of June can you imagine if somebody's having a real psychiatric problem.
Overall this app works really great. I hardly have trouble navigating the app for anything I need. Only downside is sometimes the updates are bugged so the prices won't reflect accurately. This happens around insurance renewal as well. Other then that. This is often a great alternative to going to urgent care or primary for the little things.
