Me, But Better is an app that lets your write custom affirmations, against the backdrop of some stunning images. Affirmations are positive statements you speak to yourself, just like in sport psychology, but for your everyday.
Use them to improve yourself and your business or sports goals. The app features reminder notifications that you can set weekly, daily and even hourly. Self improvement isn't easy, but this affirmations app will help you get into the right mindset.

An affirmation is a proven way of programming your mind so that you think and behave in ways that support your personal success. Affirmations are an antidote to the negative messages we are bombarded with in the media and a way for you to eradicate self-sabotage.

Experiments have shown that when a downward force is placed on an outstretched arm, the same person can resist anything from 3-5 times as much pressure when they repeat the words “I am strong” out loud compared to when they repeat the words “I am weak”.

The words we hear have a direct effect on how we feel and what we are capable of. If our internal dialogue is negative then this has a detrimental effect on our well-being, capability and success.

If we replace this self-talk with positive statements about the world and about ourselves then you can start to change your reality for the better from the inside out.

How do I create an affirmation?

Think of something that you would like to be true about you or your life.

Write it as a positive statement in the present tense.

This means that instead of saying “I no longer want to feel ill”, say “I feel fit and healthy” or “I make choices every day that are making me healthier and healthier” or “I enjoy regular healthy exercise and eating fresh, nutritious foods”. Instead of saying “I want to get out of debt” say “I have all the money I need” or “I enjoy watching my savings increase” or “I notice the wealth of opportunities around me and take action to increase my income”.

Repeat this process for as many areas as you would like so that you have a number of positive statements. Common areas that people use affirmations are Health, Finances, Career, Relationships, Family, Study, Emotional Wellbeing and Spirituality.

Every affirmation you create can be entered into Me, But Better and will start to shape your thinking and actions to support your success.

The idea of the app is great. Having a kind reminder of our worth is needed by tremendous number of people. However reminders in the app did not work for me (I have one plus 2, Android 6.0.1). I think if you fix this problem your app will be precious. Another improvement would be to add random reminders. I found the possibility to add own affirmations especially important.

I love this app, but the reminders no longer work on my Android (Galaxy S7 - used to work on my S5). Everything else is perfect. I would totally pay, but without reminders working it defeats the purpose. No response from the owner/support when I emailed a few months back. Previously, there were responses to reviews etc. I hope everything is okay personally for the developer.

I like that I can put in my own affirmations and make it look creative on a basic level. The reminders don't work on my Android phone. If that could get fixed and a way to change font colors or more styles like bold, underline, shadow since white doesn't work on every picture that would be great.

Please roll back the update or fix it...Because of this new update I am loosing my interest in reading affirmations before I sleep .. after few slides it shows white screen and nothing else

Stats don't work, says zero clicks no matter how many times I click. Editing reminders is cumbersome because you have to go to each individual affirmation to edit alerts. I do like the photos and fonts that's provided. I also like the notification on my phone with an affirmation to read. I wish there was a randomizer for viewing affirmations and reminders. The app is slow loading on my S6 so hopefully they don't add anything to make it slower.

Why can we not upload our own images... affirmations can be edited but it would aid better if you can add personal images to enhance visuals/emotional side... this is why it's not a 5* . It's easy to navigate and 3 weeks in it has helped to improve my goals.

I wish to have more images to add to my custom affirmations. The app close option not available. I have to exit and close app tab from list. Small issue hope Developer fixes this for a 5 star rating.
