Meal Planning and Grocery List

It's a bit glitchy lately and crashes if I try to change my plan. I wish it had the ability to search for a recipe by ingredients or key terms. And it would be great if there was a calendar feature either within the app or to export to a calendar app. I'd like to schedule the meals for specific days, and potentially set reminders to prep ahead of time if it's a crockpot meal.

I'm not into my second year and I love the concept. Even though the last few weeks the meals don't look appealing under the budget friendly I have replaced them by finding meals under trending section. Sometimes you have to open the app twice to get it to load which is okay. I'd still give 5 stars cause the app has made dinner easier for me!

Really enjoy the meals and the pricing. Main reason for subscribing to their service was the ability to synce with Walmart shopping. Well the email app has been getting progressively slower and glitchier as time has gone on. Honestly not worth the cost if they don't fix it soon.

Since I got the application it always had little hiccups here and there that slowly got worse over time to the point the app would not even open. The menus are easy but mediocre and not very flavorful. Score it a D UPDATE: Bugs in the app seemed to have been worked out and meal flavors have improved over time or I have just become used to the lack of it. I update to a B. A search function for meals would make the app easier to use.

I'm completely revising my review. This app has been awesome for our family meal planning. There are still some bugs. (I have to open the app twice to get it to refresh). Overall we've been using it for 40+ weeks and have enjoyed the changes. "Top trending meals" are the best change. Suggestions for the future are: Offer a "Non-alcoholic" setting. I don't EVER want to see wine for my grocery list. Also create a calendar integration so I can just link a recipe to a time/date.

The app is useful as I have no imagination in the kitchen. I can build and make easy weeknight meals that are quite tasty. The app itself is a piece of garbage. It's constantly losing my plan. It shows ingredients and instructions multiple lines in a row. And the shopping is the worst. I don't want to type in every item for Instacart but over half the time the shopping part doesn't work. For $60 for the year this is a lovely idea but I can never refer your app. Please fix it.

The service concept is great, I love not having to decide dinner anymore and most of the meals are pretty good and simple to make. BUT PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. The instacart login has been broken for over a month, which completely defeats the purpose of the app when I have to go type them all in myself. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and cleared everything and it still will not let me log in via Google. Plenty of other glitches too, but this one is really inexcusable when that's half the point

The recipes look great. The price for a year is great too. I would like to see more dairy free recipes though, not just an instruction to make vegetarian meals vegan by substituting items (many that don't have substitutes) for something dairy free. But honestly I couldn't even give it a week. The app is horrendous. I read the reviews before trying and was hoping I'd be one of the few without app issues. I was not. It does not work properly on almost anything but showing the recipes.

Ok... But not worth it. I am constantly looking for budget friendly meals, and this is actually recommended by Dave Ramsey. Not sure why. Their "budget meal plan" boasts a $95 weekly menu, but this is just dinners. I have a budget of $55 to feed 3 people breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And you can only see the meals on a very small smart phone app, not realistic for someone with visual problems, why can't their website mimic the app and actually show the recipes and let you build a menu.

My only complaint really is that there isn't a bulk delete option for the shopping list, because it's tedious to swipe to delete dozens of items one at a time. It's even worse when you have to swipe & delete multiple times on multiple items just to get them to actually delete, and that's quite a hassle for me. It would be great if the items I add to my Walmart cart would automatically delete from the eMeals grocery list. I chose 4 stars instead of 3 because everything else seems to go smoothly.

Good .. could be better. The recipes repeat or are variations of each other after 6 weeks or so. Live that I can connect to my grocery app to populate a shopping list. Forgot password link does not work in the app.

Love this app! Reliable app works perfectly. The recipes are incredible. I have favourited so many! And I love how I can switch between plans based on who I'm cooking for. Couldn't be happier!

I have been using emeals and the app for about a year now - it is a great concept and simplifies meal planning and grocery shopping. The app itself takes far too long to open, is frequently glitchy, and appears to be getting progressively worse. Please fix it so I don't take my business elsewhere!

Emeals as a service is great. The app, however is incredibly buggy. I can never load new lists for most categories. Each week I have to uninstall and reinstall to get new meals to load and hope my current lists are saved. The app is constantly removing meals from my lists or deleting my lists. Often if I close the app and reopen, lists will reappear buy not always. Sometimes I open the app and nothing shows up. Overall a hassle to use the app.

I love the concept and love it when it's working right. The app is pretty glitchy, so sometimes it loses all of my meals after i bought the groceries and for the last few weeks, when i make a new list, it puts it in both my past and current list. I have to screenshot any remaining recipes when i need to plan for the next week, because i have to remove the remaining ones, since the past list isn't working correctly. If not for the glitches and how frustrating it is, i would have given five stars.

App is a bit glitchy, but worth the effort. I have used emeals for four years and love it. I get excited every Wednesday when menus come out. It has allowed my family to eat healthier, turned me into a better cook, and saved me money at the grocery. Do I have to delete and reload the app occasionally? Yes, but I've got the two minutes that takes for what I think is the best meal plan on the market.

Used to be great. Now unusable. The screen when trying to get things from Walmart is tiny and unreadable, and even if I zoom in things are all jumbled and on top of each other so it can't be read. I've loved and used the app for over a year. Now I need to cancel because it's no longer useful. Too bad, too, as I really enjoyed it until the link with Walmart broke.

This is an amazing app that not only has delicious meals that are easy to make but they have a lot of different dieting lifestyles to chose from. I like that all the meals you chose can be instantly exported into the Walmart app as a grocery list to be edited and ordered immediately. I just wish that you had different store chains that it worked with as well. All that said, I still use this app for all my cooking/meal prepping and grocery shopping needs.

This app saves me a ton of time and stress and we get to try new and different things with minimal effort. Plus most of the recipes the kids can cook themselves and they love helping me pick the recipes each week. We are a household of 7 (ages 3-76) so most meal prep services are not realistic for us, but these recipes are easy to adjust to feed us all. I'm surprised by the bad reviews for the app.... I have a super glitchy phone I hate but the app + Walmart works perfectly for me. Never loses my meals or lists. I love eMeal!

I've used emeals since they emailed recipes and the grocery list was actually carried to the store. all the while I would imagine the day that my grocery list would magically be sent and shopped for and all I have to do is pick it up. well finely, that time is here!! I tried it back in 2019, and the grocery integration was tedious due to glitches and such. But now!!! Wow!! They have really listened, and paid attention to, customer suggestions and they have hit it out of the park!!!

There is a gf meal plan but the additional breakfast and lunch ones are not. Also i thought the plans would be coordinated based off of calories and other nutrition goals that you could adjust and set, but that isnt it. i should have done the trial but i bought everything and waited too long to ask for a refund. placing an online grocery order from the app is great although some ingredients are either too specific or not enough. so i found myself having to jump back and forth.

Love the emeals service but the app is awful and has actually gotten worse. Once I add a meal to the menu it often just disappears. Sometimes refreshing the menus and/or rebooting my phone would help (not ideal), but now NOTHING works. I literally removed and readded items (which were showing "added" btw) and watched them be added to the current menu and then disappear WHILE I was in the app!! This makes the app virtually useless for planning and I am considering dropping my subscription.

I like eMeals for the recipes & shopping list. It's slightly difficult to explore all the different recipes available, but I'll do that. What I can't get over is the impossible to shop Walmart interface. This is a serious app issue. It used to be fine, but now the Walmart shop screen is so tiny you can't see the product name or size & if you try to pull up the single product is unreadable. It takes too long to shop. I end up going to walmart app to get the right pasta! App must be fixed.

I used to love this app. I have even recommnded to many people. The recipes are great. However recently the technical issues with the app are driving me crazy. I can't get the meals that I add to my list to stay there. So it defeats the whole purpose of having the app and paying for it. If it's not fixed I will have to cancel.

First wanted a credit card outside what's already in the Playstore like every other app and where I'm comfortable if I want to cancel a subscription but the I decide to do it anyway and go get my card, it went back the the main screen, didnt save my login and wants me to enter all my info again. My theory, if they can't make signing up simple they probably can't make a decent app.

Don't like to be FORCED to pay more than 1mo at a time can't even look at the app without signing up for the free trial. I can't and I won't pay 3 months at a time. I would gladly changed us if you would consider doing monthly

When the app works, it's great. However, it is not working properly. When I push certain buttons nothing happens. It's very frustrating. Also my shopping list is on part of the screen and I can't see the description of the items. This makes it useless. This bug needs to be worked out in order for the app to be effective. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but the problem persists. At this point the app is useless unless this problem can be fixed.

The app is ok, but I found I had no use for it but cannot cancel my free trial. Everytime I click the "manage subscriptions" it sends me back to the home page. Beware of your just looking to try it out.

Meals are not bad but Horrible user interface! Also you can only go back to one previous meal plane so only 2 active meal plans. Also no search feature. What app in this day doesn't have a search feature? I will probably use for a year since they still charged after the trial period. But unless it changes I would not use this service.
