We use ARCore, the new Augmented Reality capabilities in Android plus our own understanding of the environment so you can measure the dimensions of anything you can think of.
For the most accurate results:
1. Make sure there is enough light in the room.
2. Go close to the starting point of you measurement and move close towards the end point of your measurement.
3. Make sure there are enough unique points the app can visually track.
4. Avoid any reflective surfaces such as mirrors, glossy tiles.
How accurate is this?
The sizes calculated by the app are always accurate. However, it can happen that the app did not fully understand the object you were pointing at, because of a lack of unique points so always move and check the visual representation of the distance.
The numbers are accurate for the segmented displayed in 3D space. If the segment is not really what you wanted to measure, use the "undo" option and measure again until the visual representation is accurate.
The results obtained through Measure Tools should be used as a guide only and should not be used for construction work. You should still use a real tape measurer or a ruler before buying an item or starting construction work. Measure Tools is not responsible for how you use or interpret the measurements displayed within the app.

Purchased the pro version and still prompt to upgrade when click on the gear icon. Also, no option for inch, only cm n ft. Reply: When I click on the gear, it's asking me to unlock PRO. I've bought the life time package.
It kept glitches every time I would go to set a point. This app can be frustrating at times so good look.
It's not accurate, unable to set units. For some reasons it changes units while measuring. I wouldn't recommend this app.
I just downloaded this app, paid lifetime fee and it is still asking me to upgrade to pro and gave me no access to all the features! So is there a way to fix this? I mean it could be a great app, but this just annoys me!
Quickly measured the room for a client to give them a rough idea for renovation costs. Takes a while to learn how to use, but once figured out, it is great to have in your pocket.
Very bad. Doesn't lock on to surfaces. Crashes frequently. It's literally not measuring.
Awful experience getting measurements. A physical take measure would have been faster and simpler.
App is convenient and easy to use. Free version will not measure height, not sure about the Pro version
Installed measured one reading, after screen went blank . No vision through camera. Restarted and used still no vision. Suceffuly unistalled immediately.
Screen is glitching with a green overlay when trying to measure. Paid for the pro version app did not allow access for pro version.
Very inconsistent bad, once in does not give option to leave, deleted the app immediately
cool but not quite as iPhone ruler but its the journey keep it up!

Was trying then got an ashleel annoying ad, useless app because of that. At least put good ads.

Works for some things and a little off on other but with a little more work definitely could be 5 stars.

Bits that work seem ok. I'm using the free mode but when I try to save an image including measurements it hangs then crashes after 20-odd seconds. There are some usability niggles too: i 1) f your measurements overlap you can no longer read the bottom measurement 2) you can't remove measurements individually - you can only undo sequentially - so if you want to remove the 2nd one of 3 you'll have to use undo twice and remove both the 3rd then the 2nd then you'll have to re-measure the 3rd.
