Meccanoid can be programmed 3 different ways: LIM Programming, Ragdoll Programming, & Behavior Builder. Behavior Builder & Ragdoll Programming can only be activated through the Meccanoid app.

NEW!!! BEHAVIOUR BUILDER: The Meccanoid App contains a new feature called “Behavior Builder”. Behavior Builder allows you to program your Meccanoid robot to perform actions and wait for triggers to perform new actions. Have your Meccanoid introduce itself and ask for a handshake before telling a funny joke! Press a button on the Meccanoid’s chest to have it initiate an activity. All your previous animations can be inserted into Behavior Builder and become part of the program.
RAGDOLL: In this mode, you can control Meccanoid’s arm and foot motors to make Meccanoid twist, turn or move any way you want.
LEARNED INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT: Program movements and sounds by manipulating the robot like a puppet and play them back with a push of a button.
YOU ARE IN CONTROL!
The app allows you to create your own choreographed moves developed by you! Record sound & motor movement and simply play it back.

Did not work! Needs permission to access contacts but does not work either way? Even when you turn the permissions off for contacts, it will ask each time you open the app for the same permissions. If the contact permission is disabled, the app does not work. No bueno!
The app is awful. Don't bother contacting support. This issue with having to walk through the tutorial EVERY time has been out there for over a year. Customer Service gives the same automated response.
my friend has a meccanoid oh, but he gave it to me. I downloaded the app and I love it so much. but my system storage is low, so the Bluetooth won't work temporarily. But other than that, it's fine
this app is garbage! it doesnt connect to meccanoid, and i need a pin however the support shows a completely different app and says we dont need a pin. Support says there is a "connect button" NO THERE IS NOT.
Terrible, but there is hope. If you buy a arduino you can code youre own program! So for all you sad people that got this just go online, buy a arduino uno ( I have one, they are great!) and go online a look up how and what you need to connect them together. I recomed Amazons Elegoo arduino starter kit ( No this is not an ad but its what i used ) and hook it up!
It makes no sense whatsoever for me to give access to my contacts and the files on my phone, but you can't use the app without allowing that access with no explanation about why it's needed, which is very disappointing.
This app is so incredibly mind-numbingly slow I checked in on it every month to see if maybe they would update it to actually make my robot functional or make it at least tolerable to be able to use the app to program my robot but no it seems that this app has been completely abandoned by Meccano all together super disappointing.
I installed the app and denied all of the permissions. The app didn't even attempt to work after, just stuck on a blank screen :(
Hated it, had to do an update and it took several hours, it kept reloading for some reason, never buying another Meccano robot again. P. S. Don't tell me go to customer service or anything like that because it will not help at all. I WANT A REAL PERSON NOT JUST A COMPUTER.
Would not work unless you gave permission to access everything on your device. Sounds like a scam instead of an application from a reputable company. Installed it, tried it, uninstalled it.
Try to run app get blank screen on two different phones ! App seems to be poorly written with lots of bugs
There needs to be an option to skip tutorial, it goes through it Everytime I open the app. Very annoying.
App is very clunky and hard to use. Now I just get an error "Server cannot be reached at the moment, please try again later" and it never even works at all. Horrible.
Pathetic app asking for access to virtually everything on your device, including your damned contacts. And the developers seem to have absolutely ignored the unbelievable number of complaints regarding all the unnecessary permissions and the ten minute tutorial running EVERY time the app is run. What a waste of time my poor son spent earning the money to buy his not, only to be disappointed by this horrid app and non existent support.
Great App! Great Toy! i dont exactly know why it needs my contacts but i meen if it does access them i have nothing to hide but the app works great the toy is amazing. but I can't figure out how to use drone mode
the robot is amazing but i can barly use the app i have to keep on going through the tutorial each time i open it and its really annoying
Amazing I love this in fact I used it for a school project 😁 I completely understand it needing all this information so it can properly function. I really recommend this app. Love it💕
Why do you need to play the tutorial EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP. It is so lengthy and wastes my time. And yes, I finished it the first time.
It is amazing. Got on all of the 50 devices in my house. Really helpful and fun to use for spending time on Edit: 5 devices. Accidentally pressed the 0
App doesn't even work anymore. Says the server can't be reached. Sent an email and never got a response.
Why the hell do you need permission to the contact list, picture galary, and record voice? And why would denying this permission result in me not being able to use the app. Does giving access to contact list, pictures, and allow to record voice increase functionality of the app?
