Mechanical Engineering Total

# Mechanical Engineering Total #

"TOTAL", at least that's what we are aspiring for....

This APP is built by Engineers, with more than a decade experience in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, in order to provide easy access of informations to budding engineers and techno-professionals required in their day to day work.

We are also committed to continuously improve our APP for benefit of our users, with there suggestions and requests.

Currently, we have catered for FOUR (04) Modules, namely:
1. Mathematics
2. 2D & 3D Bodies
3. Beams
4. Materials

1. MATHEMATICS

This contains mathematical expressions of various subjects e.g. Algebra, Trigonometry, Series, Probabilities, Calculus etc.

2. 2D & 3D BODIES

Illustrative images, Formulas and Calculations for various parameters of 2D bodies ( e.g. Triangle, Quadrilateral, Polygon, Circle etc )and 3D bodies (e.g. Cuboids, Cylinders, Spheres, Pyramids etc) are presented in this Module, covering...

* Perimeter
* Circumference
* Area
* Volume
* Center of Gravity
* Radius of Gyrations
* Moment of Inertia
* Section Modulus
* Polar Moment of Inertia
* Polar Section Modulus

3. BEAMS

At present, Eleven (11) different type of Beams and their calculations are covered in this module, for estimations of

* Stress
* Load
* Deflection
* Moment of Inertia, Section Modulus & Young's Modulus of Beam

4. MATERIALS

In this module, we have tried to bring out an extensive list of materials used in various engineering applications which we are intensionally leaving to you to explore.

In brief this module contains material details of

* Periodic Table (111 elements)
* Wood Database (84 types)
* Plastic Database (98 types)
* Metal Database (196 types)

# We invite you to explore this APP, give suggestions or any advice, thus motivating us in creating an APP which is truly "Mechanical Engineering Total" in all its sense.

Unuseful Edit: I now noticed that I can't see formulas in beams, metals have just AISI standard. You may add formulas and tables for screws, keys, bearings, thermodynamics etc. and I personally prefer other than the calculation tools also some brief recap about De Saint Venant theory, fluid dynamics or at least vibrations. That's why, for my usage, I think it's unuseful.

Straightaway I noticed incorrect units Mpa & Gpa instead of MPa & GPa. Also Phosphorus is spelt wrong in the Metals database.

Galaxy S9+ Very good in principle but: calculator not available for this device, diagrams and tables do not scale properly - distorted and difficult to read.
