Medi: Media Center for Android

Watch movies and TV shows on your phone or tablet. Medi for Android is a media center app that helps you manage the TV-shows you watch and downloads subtitles for your media files.
Please note that Medi is not a media player; Android has several amazing players available and Medi is not meant to replace any of those.

Current features:
- Keep track of all the TV-shows you watch. Medi remembers which episodes you've watched and lets you see when new episodes become available.
- Find matching subtitles for all your media files in 1 click (2 clicks to download subtitles for individual files)
- Supports Podnapisi.net and OpenSubtitles.org
- Options for hearing impaired subtitles (you may select whether you prefer to have them or not, as well as whether you would always want them or never want them).
- Episode calendar, giving a nice overview of upcomming episodes.
- Phone and tablet friendly! Medi is developed with tablets in mind. The app is optimized for Ice Cream Sandwich and follows the new Android design guidelines.
- Simple and fast user interface
- Works great with your favorite media players (BSPlayer, DicePlayer, MoboPlayer, mVideoPlayer, RockPlayer, VLC, and so on.)

It is my intention to make Medi THE app for watching movies and TV-shows on your Android device. In future releases, Medi will be able to:
- Send notifications when episodes become available
- Support external media sources, that is: automatically downloading and/or streaming from shared folders, FTP, XBMC, etc.

+ Many great features planned! Stay tuned :)

Firstly to those having issues adding shows etc, I found added shows didn't appear until I had an sd card in my device. YMMV but once I inserted my sd card, it was all good. The calendar / overview functions are fantastic; what I would really like to see would be a way to fire a web search (against predefined targets, perhaps) using the selected episode details... this would be a functional replacement for complete media provider integration.

Nothing works. I recommend wondershare. It streams from hulu, YouTube, & others. Wondershare also supports downloading shows, movies, & music videos.

Can't get it to do a thing. Can't tell if it's trying. Can't tell if I am doing it wrong. Added folders and that's it.

It can do exactly as described - and with style! The UI i very nice and, although it's basic, it's functional and just simply works! Oh, and the UI is amazing :) Can't wait to see what's next!

Very nice list of proposed features, and unfortunately the app fails to meet my basic needs at all. I have a robust XBMC library already, when I can simply point to that and stream to my tablet I will re-review.
