Media Player Classic Remote
Note: This goal will only ever aim to support the most recent version of Media Player Classic. If you're having issues, make sure that MPC-HC is updated. This can be done through Help -> Check for updates in MPC-HC.
It works both for mobile and tablet devices. You can control the playback from the app, from the notification-area or from the lock-screen. You also have access to all the files your computer can access, including local files but also local servers and media centers.

To use the app, Media Player Classic Home Cinema must be installed and running on your computer and the web interface has to be enabled.To enable the web interface in MPC-HC, go to Options (View->Options) -> Player -> Web Interface and make sure that "Listen on port" is ticked and that "Allow access from localhost only" is NOT ticked.After this, make sure your device is on the same network as the server and configure the server settings in the app and configure it to match your server. After this you should be good to go!

Love the app and the features! I'm running this on a Note 10 with Android 10 and the app always persists in the notification shade. The only way to get rid of it is to force close. Any way to fix this?
Please add delay features for Subtitles, audio or video. Sometimes those are out of sync so it needs to adjust the timing.
Nice app except I wish the Stop button 🟥 was available in the main UI instead of Advanced because I've set MPC to remember all media positions so I've to use Stop button frequently if I don't want the position remembered before closing the file or MPC.
Works out of the box! I came here after trying other apps that failed to work. All features work and this app is light-weight and the best available! 💯
scan didn't work for me, had to connect to my media player manually. Other than that issue the app works great.
What the he'll is this server not found or unable to connect? Why connect to an outside server other than the android's main function & folders?

I use it with mpcbe great windows player. I have a lot of films across many drives and wondering if you could add a media viewer option that interprets the movie meta data created by application like tiny media manager for windows and kodi, usually just .NFO files in the film dir. That would allow me to add all my film folders and it would load meta data and images but allow me to play it on the mpcbe remotely. It may be outside the scope of this project. thanks.
Took a bit of sussing out but the combination of banamalon win remote lite for mouse/kb and task manager.. + this awesome app for mpc that actually works really well, and finally I have the ability to not relax and not have to get up because some shonky app maker sells their thing minus features. Thank you for this. :)
Two little things: If the mpc is closed through the pc before closing the app, the app gets "unable to connect to server" and is can't be closed, only by force shutting it in android's settings. Second thing is that it would be cool if there was a "jump 10 seconds forwards" button. Thanks!
Freshly opened works great, no lag. After few min, have to kill/reopen to respond. Mem states less~40M free, app using 39M. Turned off phone sleep. Leaving open or trying from notification bar, same problem. Did a factory reset, no luck. Only config change is for .1 network. Think I'm stuck, but better than nada. Thanks.
The remote works very well. The UI is a little lacking though. There is wasted space on the main screen and much too many things crammed under the advanced menu. Is there even an close app option anywhere? I have to force mine closed when I'm done. I would suggest simplifying the main screen with less blank space & words, then give a + button that takes you to a different screen with the more advanced options. Nobody wants to scroll through menus on touch devices.
Perfect for my needs, unfortunately as is the case with android not all features are compatible with my HTC one m7, specifically lock screen controls
The app works great. It really really needs a playlist feature. Please sort that problem out, then the app will be perfect. I have to go looking through 100's of music videos to change each song. I would like to come back and give this app a 5. Please fix it. Thanx
I love this app, and I would give it 5 stars but the notification bar won't go away unless I restart my phone
Great app! Other similar apps might look fancier and have more features, but I keep coming back to this one as it's the only one offering status bar and lock screen control. A few ideas/suggestions: - instead of the fixed 10s back button, make it configurable as small/medium/large jumps - add a fastforward button (with the same options as above) on all the various screens - add an option to pause playback when a call is incoming - add volume + and - buttons along with the volume scroll bar (for the weirdos that like rounded number volume settings) Thanks for your valuable time! P.S. Heck, if you are so inclined and have too much time, make the whole homescreen (or more homescreens) editable and configurable to put any number of various buttons/controls anywhere we like (on some sort of grid pattern).
Lately I've been unable to connect to the mpc player. Not sure why. Running the server test in the player and all seems fine. Running the mad vcr settings if that matter. And switched router. Server Ip and port are correctly set up and port is opened. Frustrating.
Please add a "view playlist" option, seems like the only thing missing
This is a top notch app for htpc owners. Though it's lacking on some features such as disabling subtitles. Zooming in and out. Hence the 4 stars. I hope you will implement these soon!
This app is perfect. When I connect my laptop to my TV through HDMI I always had to stand up to rewind the movie but now I can just can use my phone 😀😀
Best mpc remote out there! Really easy to use and connection is really smooth, couldn't detect any lag at all. Would like to see notification buttons like the Google music app, as the current one is difficult to press!
USE MPC-HC 32-BIT VERSION! I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why I couldn't get MPC-HC 1.9.8 to work, I use 64bit version because 64bit machine. Then I thought let's just try 32bit and see what happens....boom works flawlessly, just remember to configure the ip address in the remote app ([IPaddress]:13579) and that's it. I can browse all my hard drives and play my movies. Amazing.
