It Just Works! This app succeeds where others such as "Gallery Refresh" fail - it correctly updates the phone's gallery to show newly copied files, and works on new versions of Android too. It takes just a single tap and 2 minutes to complete, and saves you the annoyance of having to restart the phone each time new images are copied to it. Thanks to the developer for this handy app!
Quite a decent App. 3 stars because it's just decent. The UI is not appealing, I was rather confused as to what I need to do to start the scan. And the scan speed could be faster. Typically took around 2 hours to finish scanning my 128Gb micro-SD card. Improve on these 2 points and I will give 5 stars.
Sad to see unless i misread, this wasnt working for a few users, but can glady say it worked for me (Droid Moto Z Play, Android 8) ! It did however mess with all my notification sounds, but a minor issue that can be easily fixed myself then the idiotic issue this was resloving that Android has had for AGES. Especially since all my methods of fixing it stopped working. Really easy to use until you may need to hit up the advanced options if it doesnt for you, which wasn't my case.
After using this app, all my old photos and videos got mixed up with new ones, my gallery albums are a huge mess because a lot of new photos are in old album folders. I do not recommend anyone to use this app. I might have lost some photos too, not 100% sure about this one. This is a risky app to use to solve the problems you have with your device, and I made a mistake because I tried it out. Don't make the same mistake as I did.
Super simple. Needs minimum permissions to operate. Was able to restore my photos and music that i have removed from the library because i had mistakenly deleted "cache data" and "app data" from Media Storage and External Storage. My files were still there but Google Play Music and my Photo app were not seeing them
I was trying to scan for photos on my SD and it just corrupted the card instead! Now struggling to recover over 500 photos if I can. It also looks like it downloaded the videos and images for apps they advertised to me directly onto my phone. Had to manually delete from file viewer even after app deletion.
Does the job. 👍🏻 It helped me before when I suddenly lost access to my music files and it helped me again when my image files won't appear on the stock Gallery app (even though they show up in a 3rd party app). Thanks to the devs for creating this app. 💖
Best App. i inserted memory card from my old Mobile Phone to new mobile(Android 9), but old pictures, songs etc were not visible in galary. i could only see them one by one using file manager. but after installing this app., i can see ALL my stuff in memory card. thanks for this useful app.
Very helpful app and very simple and intuitive UI. Still need some updating to the browsing function as although it can access SD card, the browsing function can't explore beyond Internal Memory. (Posted from Nokia 8.1, Android 11)
First of all. All of my Music on my SDCARD Got to be disappeared and also some of my videos this is happened when i put the SD Card on my digital camera. And er that voila gone!. Even i used this app. Not impressed. Not working cause i had a big bulky songs they are 3GB in total on my phone. But thank you, you really not save the day Otherwise thanks. No effect......
I experienced an unexpected bug after One UI 3.1 update that caused new audio files (MP3, mainly) to NOT show in the Samsung Music (or any other music player I tried). Running media scanner via this app resolved this. Good job.
Lifesaver🔹Awesome App🔹Awesome Job! If you have a device (Android 4.4 & higher) that doesn't acknowledge what's on your SD Card (such as 📷📺, 🎧🎤, 🎬🎥, etc) this app will fix that problem for you! Before installing this app my Gallery wouldn't show or pull up any pics stored on my SD Card nor would my music player pull up or play my music, but after installing this app everything works as it should! I rarely leave reviews, but the Devs here have definitely earned this one! Great Job Devs! 👍
Works wonderfully! People that are saying images not showing in gallery, don't know that it's because there are .nomedia files in those folders. That is not what this app is meant for.
Did the job, found music files that were recently added to a new sd card and updated the media storage, making them show up on my default music player (when it didn't before). Great app in that regard!
Works great! I've tried 3 similar apps, and this one was the best. It has a giant button that rescans everything, and a configurable list of paths to scan.

Simple to use, effective and reliable. No annoying adverts nor unwanted or unnecessary features. Does exactly what it says it does!
Excellent app.Works flawlessly.In case you have any issues , use the media storage button and clear data.You may proceed to rescan after that to refresh your media library and all the new media will appear in all the relevant apps.
It sorta fixed the problem I had with media players showing the wrong thumbnails, but in a feature sense the app did not exactly what it was designed to do.
This is not work on OnePlus 7T Pro (everything was good before Android 10). Now, if I do a media scan then the photo viewer miss all pictures and videos until is cleanup cache & data of the Media Storage...
Ohh very useful and really it's exactly work.... my phone isn't showing any sd card media... than i download this application and clean media storage. Then i scan full my internal and external storage. ....and than.... all sd card data becoming show.....
I had lost the system ringtones due to clearing media storage and couldn't get them back. The app just did the trick perfectly.
Works on Android 8.1 but I had to clear all the data from media storage then run it after that. Now my media player shows the missing media that wasn't getting scanned.
Love it. I lost all my files from the gallery and no matter what I did they were not showing from my sd card to the gallery. This app solved my problem in seconds.
No ads, fast, easy and straightforward. Such awesome tool has been very useful in re-scanning my files whenever I transfer them.
work as intended, very nice. Fixed the issue of photo album not being able to recognize photos on external memory after updates.
Update: 09/28/19.... I did a factory data reset on my phone and now this media scanner is no longer available. I am sooooo disappointed! Love it! This app works great allowing you to see your music files and pictures after doing a reset of your phone and putting everything back together and you mysteriously cannot see any of your songs or pictures. By running this app, it re-associates everything and then you can see the songs in your playlist and the pictures in your gallery. I highly recommend this app!
