i find it very suspicious that an app that allows you to alter the volume control defaults also needs permission to view text you type. I figured I wouldn't risk having my passwords or other information compromised. Remove the text-viewing permission.
This app does not work either. It's annoying ever since my phone updated to Android 10 I've had problems with setting volume keys to control media by default, even worse is all my playlists are all messed up now too. Android 10 has more Cons than Pros if I ask me.
Oh my god, why is this app is not viral..?? This do what exactly said in the name. First my volume buttons can only control ringtone volumes and alarm volume. Now i am able to control the media volume using the side buttons. Thanks to all who worked behind this.
STILL READING TEXT, DON'T BE TRICKED: When I installed the app on Google Play it only asked for phonecall permission. But you need to enable this app in accessability settings, when you do that it asks for permissions again. One of them was to read all text including sensitive information. To Dev: Absolutely no way in hell you need that permission!! Just sell the app instead of scamming people, I'd definitely pay 1 or 2 dollars for a concise fix to one of the dumbest design choices on my phone.
So far, so good! Not sure about that 'read what you type' permission is all about, maybe the Dev can see what our questions are and get someone to tell us via translation. My phone simply says it has permission to 'phone.' I am trying this app with caution, because it does exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
My custom ROM actually has a switch for this but it doesn't work. This app worked. Thanks! Permission to read text was removed, for those in foil hats.
Works as intended. Easy to use. Minimal permissions as well. No text reading permision anymore, if you were wondering.
Does the job. Don't be put off by the Chinese name, everything is described well and it's super simple to set up!! Less CPU/battery drain than rocker locker👌
This great app can lock your volume keys to control the media volume. You know, their actual purpose. Thanks for fixing android!
Has always worked flawless, and was only 1 of maybe 5 that actually worked and didn't come with extra unneeded features OR ADS!
Thank You ! and to @users who complain, how stupid android developers were they set tablets main volume as ringing phone instead of media, not to mention it should be configurable. Why are they keep trying to annoy us with their software full of errors, it looks like made purposely?
Demands access to read all the text you type on your phone within any app, for no apparent legitimate reason. Beware.
To simply control volume it wants access to text we type Inc passwords and credit card numbers! Do not use this outright spyware!
Works perfect for Chromecast, for adjusting volume with turning phone on.
why you need permissions such as collect typing data, what that has to do with the volume??!! suspicious app not recommended
Its superb but have one permission issue! I want to ask from devlopers why it ask the permission for text input.
Simple, works great! Should be default setting of android.
App says it needs permission to observe information i type including credit card info.... NO THANKS.
Doesn't seem to work on Oxygen OS 10 (based on Android 10)
It request to read text we type, so a big no and never trust this application.
The only app I found that actually does this properly. Simple and effective.
Asking for too much personal information permissions for an app as simple as this
Still asks for permission to read text. Uninstalling.
Why activation of this app give it a permission to monitor typing including credit card numbers and password typing
There are too much ads .
Works great on my Galaxy Note 4.
Good very very good using it on all my android phones
Requires access to everything you type. Uninstalled.
Truly a great app! Creds to the dev.
To start, the app does what it says. It dedicates the volume keys to media without making the speakers play any noise. Here's the bad: the app wants access to seeing what you type. Some might take this with a grain of salt. My accounts started getting alerts of unusual log-ins after some time with this app. Users beware!
