Medical ID (Free) - ICE

Although I haven't had to use this yet, I find that it is a good app that can stay on my locked screen in case of an emergency. It has the medical information and my contacts in case of an emergency without having to unlock my phone. This will help the EMT AND PARAMEDICS. Since I have a lot of medical issues, this app will help them to be able to aid me in care in an emergency. I would suggest, anyone that has a medical issue, have this app on their phone's locked screen.

Great app. The floating banner/widget on home screen works very well. Really important app does what it advertises. Free version is great but also chance to upgrade to paid version.

Although I like the contents of this app, it has one bug that drives me crazy. In the past week or so, the app banner on the lock screen does not display. I can go into settings and temporarily fix the issue. But by the end of the day I have to do it all over again. Without the lock screen access, the app is little more than a notepad to organize ones medical info

I always have medical information right at my fingertips. No bringing meds to appointments, list of all doctors addresses & phone numbers, Emergency Info and any other medical conditions you may have. It sure helps should you have to go to hospital with all the questions they ask it's all in your phone also added my insurances & policy numbers & phone. Love it⚕️

One thing this developer doesn't seem to understand is the KISS principle. Far too complicated to set up and get to work properly. Needs a proper rethink on KISS principles. Otherwise it is proberly a good app. I would like to see the option for med identities to be in a different text colour to other info so first aiders can concentrate quickly on that. Will uninstall as I cannot get the lock screen widget to show at all in spite of the video demo.

The app no longer appears on the lock screen which defeats the purpose of having the medical information available to first responders. Instead, the app displays a small, rather annoying, icon on the edge of the screen while actively using the phone. Unfortunately, the small icon does nothing and the only way to open the app is from the standard icon. Very disappointed.

I like that I can add notes about allergies, meds, contacts, but I wish I could format the content with bullets or numbers and highlight, instead of it being one long block of info. In an emergency when someone is skimming content, bullets make it easier to review and highlighting can callout identify important info. Not sure what the purpose of the BMI messaging other than a slap in the face to anyone not at a perfect height and weight according to medical standards. Not a diagnostic tool.

This app does not have a way to reinstall the free app and upgrade the premium app that was already paid for. The app requires the premium upgrade to be Uninstaller, which causes the Free version to be uninstalled too. I don't know if I paid more than one time. It would be helpful to be able to install this app (when paid for the premium version), without having to pay more than once. Most developers have something to click on if you have already paid.

Love this app. I no longer have to rely on my memory of Rx , surgical dates, or carry/update papers. Great tool when filling out forms. It’s well laid out with plenty of room to edit or add descriptions. Simply enter your info accurately one time and this important info will always be at your fingertips. Emergency no problem, just show them your phone, the app has the option to float on top of your locked phone for medical personell access. Did I mention it's 100% FREE. It's a no brainer!

I have significant medical issues. This is easy to set up and use. It sits on my lock screen so vital medical info can be accessed without allowing open access to the rest of my phone. The doctors I have shown it to, including in the ER have been impressed. The only feature that I would like to see is the ability to add profiles for those that I care for.

The app mostly works well. In rare cases, when I turn my screen on, the Medical ID lock screen banner does not disappear. Instead, the banner annoyingly floats over the app I am using, until I turn the screen off and back on again. (I am using an LG G5 running Android 8.0 "Oreo". My screen lock timer is set to 30 minutes. Before that, my screen powers off but does not lock.)

Had this app on my previous phone and it didn't transfer over to my new phone For some reason I cannot get the app to work on my new phone which is a Galaxy A535G. Both my sister and I have tried to get the app to work.

On my POCO-X3-NFC the lock screen widget says to double tap to open but does nothing when tapping it. When I then manually unlock the phone the all information screen is open. Any ideas??

The app keeps removing the icon from my Android galaxy S21... I have to keep going to setting and turning everything back on... What bug is in the app to keep turning it off... It will serve NO purpose if I have a Myasthenia Gravis crisis and EMS can't view my medical information because the icon isn't on my lockscreen because it has cut itself off again... I've reached out to the developer twice... Please fix the bug...

This is by far the easiest format to input and edit, and easy to access in an emergency. With multiple health problems and meds, this gives an 'at a glance' comprehensive view of important details. Would recommend!

I like this app but I have a new phone. The app transferred but my info did not. Now it keeps telling me I have to upgrade to add a 2nd person. It is only me on this app. I can't find anywhere for me to sign in to see if it will pull my info up or at least let me re-add my info.

great and time saving when you are at a doctor or hospital. they just take a photo and they have all of my medical data. awesome!!

Buggy and spammed 911! First I was just having issues with the app not showing up on the lock screen for my phone. But I got a rude awakening to find out that the app had texted 911 nearly a dozen times without my knowledge! The police showed up at my house and asked if I was OK. Definitely unnerving. I uninstalled the app immediately and recommend others check too!

Very helpful in case of emergency, but annoying in daily use: the icon floats on the screen, is unclickable, basically useless when the phone is unlocked.

The icon used to appear when I had this installed on my old phone, but on my Note 10+ no matter how I change things in Settings the icon will not show up on my home screen. Hence no one knows it's there and is useless to me.

You need this app it means you stay alive its the best i've ever seen and its free EMS loves this app evan with your phone locked they have all your mediclal records if you've been injured like me and time matters you need this app do it

I have been using this app for many years now and it is very helpful, when I need to write down all meds I take at different doctors appointments. It is a valuable tool in a medical emergency, when I formation is needed.

This is app is great and free. Wonderful for people with health issues. Whenever staff need info, I just hand it to them. In an emergency, they can access info stat from the screen. It will auto unlock. Highly recommend. Interestingly enough, when on Google maps, I can see the med tag moving with me. Lol. Almost as if they will know I have it. Not sure if that is the case, but it is great. :-)

Has a good concept and idea, but it has the widget placed right on the time/date on your lock screen. I look at that on my phone often and cannot have something blocking it. I tried changing my time settings but it doesn't give a option to move my clock anywhere else. I tried to move the banner, but of course that costs money. Seems pretty purposely placed in a bad spot so people will pay to move it. I'm uninstalling and finding a better app.
