App will not work, a pop-up window demanding that I update won't allow startup of app. I discovered that I need to disable my ad blocker, then it opens. I still consider this a major fail. This might help people solve their problem.
I'm not using this app anymore because all the ads make it impossible to use. I moved on to another resource.
Used to work well but suddenly now it tells me UPDATE REQUIRED even if I already updated. With no option to dismiss that popup, this app is literally unusable. The only thing stopping me from giving a 1-star rating is how much this app helped me in my practice... back when it used to work.
In the next update, please let the saved conditions be sorted according to systems affected, otherwise what's the point of saving them when I have to read through a billion other things I've saved just to reach what I want. It's stressful and not helpful. Nonetheless, it's a good app that also needs duration of treatment on the management of the conditions there.
Ads are too much! I can't read a single sentence without an entire ad inserting itself in the middle of the paragraph! It is beyond frustrating as not only it looks awful and it distracts me from the actual content of the text, it moves the text, making content hard to find and to continue. I'm going to have go get an UpToDate or Dynamed subscription because Medscape has just become downright disappointing with that many ads!
Completely inaccessible as it displays a persistent "update required" prompt even though the latest version is installed. Clearing cache/all data does not resolve the issue.
Great app for continuing education(CEUs). There is one fix that is needed ASAP for the continuing education section: when a course is completed and evaluation done there is only a link to the activity tracker, but no way to get back to either the main home page or to education section. Please add a button/link to allow seamless transition with this. Also, add an option to change text size within the app for the visually impaired. Thanks! 👍
The ads in this app make it completely useless! They take up the complete screen and I can't view the information. There is no way to close the ad as well. I was using this a lot until these ads appeared. If this is not fixed I will look elsewhere. I understand ads bring in needed revenue, but the execution of the ads is horrible. Fix the ads and it is 5/5, otherwise it's a zero.
I emailed MedScape about MedScape being nonfunctional. I even sent a screenshot. It was about at the bottom of the screen I get a network error has occurred message where I assume the ad should be. This error limits my ability to access most of your app. I still get notifications about news which I can read with an ad at the bottom. I did not get a thank you or a status update on how you are fixing this issue. Update - They finally fixed the problem but still no thank you or acknowledgement.
Consult has gone from bad to worse. Now you can't even upload pictures or see the date of post uploading. There are many other errors like that.
To be honest, I don't use this app that much, because I just don't tend to use many apps in general. The times I have used this app it has been great! It does give you such a wealth of information with offline access! I have started to use the CME education a little. Some bit of feedback would be to have different sections so that completed activities can be in a separate section. Since I work from the top down, I find it annoying to have to scroll through the same list every time.
Detailed, thorough, well-written, concise enough, good accessibility to critical information both on and off-line.
So far so bad as in experience, this app aint working at all. Kindly sort out this issue of *enable in your settings* and where do we go to fix this problem? This is really bad.
Wonderful app with up to date referenced information. Unfortunately the app has become unuseable with full page ads that won't minimise.
Says network error and won't let me do anything in the app or look at anything. Very annoying and makes the app entirely useless.
Medscape was a helpful app I checked daily... after update it keeps saying there's a "network error" and is unusable..

The recent update changed the layout a bit which was fine but the Obstetrics EDD and gestational age calculator has changed. It is now a very basic calculator that we can find anywhere whereas previously medscape calculator had an option of calculating ultrasound gestational age and EDD. That was a very helpful and easy-to-use feature. Please consider bringing it back otherwise there wouldnt be any difference between any other obs calculator and medscape calculator.
This app was invaluable during medical school and internship, but recently the amount of ads makes it nearly unusable. There are more ads on the page than script. I would gladly pay a subscription to avoid the ads, but instead it appears I will not be using this app and will be searching for something better.
I am a young medical student who was looking forward to using the app but the age only starts from 20 so that's a big draw back for young students
Very informative, updated and confirmable! I love this app. Please improve the app by having a horizontal orientation and having a feature of zooming in to your articles. My eyesight needs a horizontal orientation and flexibility to zoon in and out to be able to read your awesome news. Thank you!
I love and use this app so often. However, although I appreciate the dark mode, I do hope the issues surrounding it resolves quickly. Some texts and links are still in black so if you're not careful, you miss them. The links to meds are especially filled with bugs.
Dear Medscape team, please fix the app, whenever I open the app, there is pop up message that it "requires internet connection for update" , though there is full network and it doesn't allow any further interaction. 03/12/2021 Not working even after clearing catches and data, uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I simply love it. Most useful app for my profession. It makes it hard to share very important information though. Since it requires readers to login to view, people should be able to access certain information especially news without the unnecessary hindrances. You'd think most people would actually signup but they won't, they'll just stroll by. You are missing the opportunity to educate a wider audience by self inflicting these embargos.
