Terrible app. It has only gotten worse over the last 6 years. Latest issue is it locks up 100% of the time you flip out of the app which forces you to shut it down and reload. Imagine watching a meet and needing to look at it 30 times during a meet....insane that it locks up.
No stars. Very difficult to try and cancel renewal. Go to help and what is suggested to cancel, no option to cancel. Will have to do it through my bank. Terrible. Recommend not to get it unless you want to keep paying.
I rarely write reviews, but I must take the time for this one. I am forced to use this because my kids all swim. I have to restart the app constantly to get updated results because they won't load otherwise. Also, results take an eternity to upload even when they work. I wish the developers would improve the app. It stinks.
Shonky app. Auto renewed. Sure, my mistake for not cancelling. Went to cance, so selected the tab "manage my subscription" and I was returned to the Google Play store. Haven't even had this app on my phone for at least 6 months. Auto renew should be an opt in option
I would give it a zero but can't. I've been using this app for 6+ years. I ran an update on 21 Jan 2022 and now the app crashes. I get an error message that says the app has a bug. Can't do anything until the developer fixes it.
Really terrible app. Continual errors either not showing results, saying no internet connection when there is etc. Have to continually uninstall and reinstall to use app. If not required swim meets wouldn't have it.
Even with automatic renewal this app when I try to use it states I don't have a subscription. This happens yearly. The support team only provides generic responses for troubleshooting. Ex. Like clear cache, uninstall and reinstall. This bug shouldn't even exist. It has been happening for the last 5 years. The only reason I have kept it is because my kids like to see their results WHEN IT IS WORKING. As of March 25, 2022: Issue still unresolved, even with evidence of subscription.
Not android friendly! When it works great! But often times it doesn't, especially on Android phones. When viewing a finished event it only shows 1/4 the swimmers finished, skipping random numbers. PLEASE FIX!!! Searching for meets is nearly impossible! Also often shows that I have no internet connection, which is not the case. It is a paid app, and for a paying app I would expect it to work a little better.
Two updates in the same day without a notice on the page is confusing. Devs should have noted that there was a second update on the same day to smooth over probelms. The second update on Jan 21 seems to do the trick.
Unaccommodating Service-Purchaser Beware!! I just purchased a subscription for my son's first swim Meet in November 2021 on my Android phone, and then I received an iPhone for Christmas this month. When I contacted customer service to see if they would refund my subscription on Android so that I could repurchase on iPhone (they don't allow switching between platforms), it was a hard no. Since I don't feel like paying double for the same service I just won't be using it. Very disappointed
Always need to reload. Difficult to find the correct meet. Wish there is other options. Can't complain when it was free few years ago. Now it charges a fee for this horrible service
So I use this app and I got it cause I would like to know what my times were at my meet then figured out I had to pay to do that like why though I honestly don't think I have have to pay to see something I did
Terrible customer service. I accidentally purchased a monthly subscription for $5, while I meant to purchase an annual for $10. I asked if I could either pay additional $5 and convert my subscription to annual, or get a refund for my purchase and buy an annual subscription. I was told I would not get a refund and would have to spend another full $10 next month to purchase an annual subscription. That's bad business, people. I wasn't a fan of the app to begin with, and even further from it now.
Not updating events as they happen. Apple users are fine but Android not so Seems Meet Manager at your end needs updating
This is a *good* app. It's not a "great" app. But it is close. Granted, this is a "freemium" service. Free access gives ability to basically see the 'heat sheet'/plan for meets. The premium subscription ($6.99 US/year) is not a bad price at all considering this provides everything a heat sheet provides (for FREE in the app). The premium service just gives access to the RESULTS after the swims. If your child is a swimmer, this is probably worth the subscription price. FEATURE REQUEST: since there is no full-desktop-web-app, it would be very "nice" if the developers could add an easy way to export data to something like CSV format (which could then be manipulated in Excel or similar spreadsheet app). At the moment, I don't see any way to export results, you'd have to lookup the results for each heat/event/swimmer manually in the app and write it into a spreadsheet.
The app is ok but very few meets in Europe use it, and none of the LEN and FINA championships. The app is not smart enough to consolidate swimmer records, so if you are looking for a particular swimmer, you can find 15 different records for one swimmer, that are each linked to a few meets....poor design. College meets are covered, as are a selection of Australian meets. All in all it is an expensive subscription for such a limited number of meets. I will not renew.
App itself is good. The problem is that it is on conflict with too many timing systems at meets which leads to hosting teams to turn it off or delay results too long. Hopefully this app or a replacement can be developed to sync with meet results without conflicts or glitches. When it is working it's a great app. Unfortunately this is only about 50% of the time.
The search feature for meets near me works about 1% of the time. Heaven forbid you get a new device, you lose ALL prior favorite settings and can't find your team with the search feature. For a paid app, this really should perform better. I lowered my rating to a one star, if I could rate -5, I would! I can't find my team and would have to search for each individual swimmer. Extremely irritated.
I'm tired of having to contact customer service because I can't access results even though I am subscribed. Tells me I'm not subscribed yet I am on annual renew and have 7 months left. This happens ALL the time. Ihave removed the app and reinstalled, restarted phone, everything they suggest and it still keeps messing up and being useless over a subscription error on their end. They need to fix the glitch or stop charging people. Honestly if there is another app out there I'd recommend a switch.
App is constantly telling me I don't have internet when I very much do. Deep links from notifications often tell me I don't have internet and then drop me on the homepage. Taps often stop working after moving to a different app, so when I return it stupid working and I have to close the app and then start over again. Near me hardly ever shows the closest ones first. Notifications are good though, and great that it seems to be all age levels that use it.
I paid for the yearly subscription once, figuring that after it was a paid platform it would gain significantly more functionality and be easier to find meets, swimmers, etc. I stopped using this app altogether for two years, and when I finally reinstall it and decide to pay the fee again, it won't even launch. Waste of money, better off waiting for those results to be posted, a complete shame this is usually the only option to see results for meets you can't attend unless the team uploads to a website.
The app doesn't even start anymore since today's update. Not missing much anyway given it didn't work properly anyway. Ropey at best. Errors when subscribing to the app and yet it still takes my money. Now the app doesn't recognise that I've paid. Not happy.
While the app is a must for swimmers and parents, I'm not a big fan of this app because: 1. It is unstaband crashes too often (user has to close and restart the app multiple times!) 2. It glitches a lot, ESPECIALLY with regards to subscription. Even though I auto-renewed my subscription, the app will notify me that I have NOT and requires that I either update the payment method (it IS up-to-date!) and pay AGAIN by other payment methods. It happened EVERY YEAR (yup, just happened this year, too!)
Not launching. Trying to open app wont open. Told me to clear cache still nothing. I have just renewed also. Also wont show me heats etc. Only after results shown. Can someone help
I paid for the subscription and it is rarely ever correct. I get notifications about things being updated from her coach, but my app is always a year behind. If I could use any other service, I would.
Has become more and more glitchy. Even if you can find meet, more often than not it won't launch. You can tap the meet, it flashes showing the tap has been made and the meet just does not launch. On the same page I get a notification of some description but tapping that gives the same result.
I purchased the one year plan for $9.99 and I'm trying to cancel so I don't get autobilled. Read the "instructions" to cancel through the app and THIS FEATURE DOES NOT EXIST. Be prepared to have issues cancelling!!!!
