Megabus RIDE

Garbage. There's NO WIFI available on the bus, as usual. Previously, they put up a pretense of a wifi by showing up in the settings, and then not work. Now, it seems they no longer bother. Then, this app opens to a string of useless error messages. The app is as inspiring as their drivers- which is nil. I'll take Bolt. At least i get rewards!

Downloaded it immediately after booking a ticket, expecting it to be a great tool to use for booking in the future. It's not. You can't even book trips on the app, it redirects you to the website. Apparently the App is supposed to be for watching movies and shows while you ride to your destination..they don't work. This app is garbage and MegaBus needs to get it together before trying to get their app out there.

I had issues when i first ran the app, it would just hang on a loading icon. i found if i connected to mobile data the app loaded, after that i could disconnect from mobile data and use the wifi. internet is very very slow though and they block sites like spotify. in order to access the internet you need to click the internet button. i managed to watch John wick 2 and Moana, the movies closed ~20 times though, and i used a vpn to access spotify which after some initial buffering streamed ok.

I wish I didnt have to give a star to leave a review, because they dont deserve that. The app is useless. Even if your bus actually HAS a wifi signal to connect to, nothing on the app works. No on board entertainment, whether through their selection or your own - wifi wont allow it. Want to send a text through snapchat? Better turn on your data because the wifi will take 8 hours to send two words. Garbage app, garbage advertising for the company. Make sure your phone has roaming.

You'll be using your data. The wifi is spotty. And once I was able to connect, every movie I tried to watch would only play the sound. I change the orientation and the video quality, nothing worked.

Couldn't use the wifi on my trip because the app crashes on launch even after it worked on the first trip without having to launch the app, the website wont load under wifi to accept terms as well. Mobile coverage in the Mojave is atrocious so I just listened to audiobooks.

About every 10 minutes, for no apparent reason, whatever video you're watching will exit back to the previous screen. And then when you click to start it again, it starts over at the beginning so hopefully you remember the timestamp where you were at otherwise you'll spend the next 5 minutes trying to figure out where you left off.

Megabus requires you to use your data to download their app that gives you wifi access. Don't bother. The app didnt work; no wifi, no shows, nothing but ads that didnt even work because of no internet.

Internet doesn't work at all as advertised. Other than showing the signal strength as almost perfect, pretty much useless shell app of links. Waste of space and data to download.

Was told I needed the app to utilize the WiFi, so I downloaded it. Complete waste of time and space. Internet didn't work......EVER......not even for 5 minutes. This app is a ripoff and utter rubbish. Uninstalling

Useless. i have an angry 5 bus sick 5 year old who just needs to zone out yo be able to keep everything down. We brought the iPad gor yhos purpose. I am annoyed by the customer service on the phone or lack thereof. I will look for another cpanynto use in the future. Megabus used to be the best. What happened?

just b/c you have an app in the play store doesn't mean that that app will actually work. once again, megabus fails to meet the below-average expectations that it sets for itself.

As far as I can tell, nothing about this app works. All the buttons either do nothing, open my browser to the Megabus home page, or ooen a blank browser page.

Hate downloading an app to access wifi. Seemed to work in the parking lot, but once we got on the road there was no more wifi.

WiFi does not work with or without app, but I got a lot of 'website not secure' and 'someone may be stealing your information' warnings with the app. Use at your own risk!

No Wi-Fi! I rode the Megabus during the July 4th break from San Jose to Los Angeles and back. I couldn't use the app because there was no Wi-fi either way. Megabus should stop advertising ftee Wi-Fi because it never works.

Awful. Megabus advertizes wifi and movies, but neither work. My only entertainment was watching in vain the app not download due to the wifi (the irony was not missed) to then be able to choose a movie that wouldnt play. Megabus is scamming people with false advertisement.

In addition to being restrictive as otherwise described, will hijack the automated public WiFi login process, requiring uninstall or mucking around in settings. Luckily, the uninstall was not long in coming!

horrible app doesn't connect to you wifi and the signal is very inconsistent now i don't have a connection on this boring bus. this is false advertisement

The bus was late. Only moderately clean. Driver was great. WiFi and app didn't work.

I used this app to watch movies but it wont even let me. wifi is soo bad the signal is soo weak. please do something about this and maybe the rating will change.

Megabus doesn't turn on their WiFi on the bus or something. Also, they're kinda greedy in that they stop at both Oakland AND San Jose for the SF to Los Angeles route. Other bus providers only stop at 1.

UI is unnecessarily complicated. Nothing connects. No wifi.

Nothing connects to the wifi. No movies or TV. Waste of time, especially when you agree to cookies and anyone can geab your data!
