MegaN64 (N64 Emulator)

I would give it 5 stars, because for the passed few months I played everyday for hours. But for the last week or so, my games are all stuck in such a small screen, maybe 2.5x2 5". Sometimes that would happen, but restarting a few times would generally fix it. Now all of a sudden, it's impossible to play; Majora's mask has a lot of components on screen constantly, so the small screen makes it too difficult to even bother. Very sad about it, as this was the main app I used and the only gaming app I enjoyed. In comparison to regular games with better graphics, etc, I would've rather played on this emulator. I hope one day in the future I'll reset it and the game will return to the almost full screen display I once had.

Works great. Love it. I have a cheap $50 android tablet and the games run smoothly. I've even run this on an old Motorola android phone and it ran smoothly. I've only ever had one problem and it was with the controls. They aren't bad, but I, personally, hate touch screen controls and when I connected my ps4 controller via bluetooth, it recognized it but it couldn't map the controls properly. If you invest in a controller that works with this app, it will work great.

It's quite good. The big gripe is the intrusiveness of the ads. They're not passive, and even brushing it or missing the relatively small exit button lands you with about 16 tabs open on your browser. This is a pain, but once you're inside the emulater playing your game It's not an issue, so it isn't fatal. The controls make sense (although the triggers Z and R are approximately placed and it is difficult to get your fingers on them at the same time as other controls for combinations.

Despite the presence of advertising, it is easy enough to quickly bypass these advertisements with rhythm. The adverts seem to only appear in the menu and can be skipped immediately. As for gameplay, it's either use an actual controller, or it's bust... Outside of a slow-paced RPG or similar game. I did not use the touchscreen controls at all. The graphics are on par, aside from a few mis-mapped, or missing textures. Overall, rated upon the fact that this emulator is FREE, I have to give it 5 stars, despite a list of its shortcomings.

It works fine MOST of the time. Some textures can't load (possible corruption) and it can be really distracting. An example of this is when I tried to play Zelda: Ocarina of Time and everything turned a really bright green and blue. Then, when I tried to play Turok, the screen was black but the game was still interactive (I could move my character around but I couldn't see where I was going.) You could say it's the ROM itself but it's a little odd that so many of them are having the same problem, so...

This emulator runs great and allows full customization. I'd say it's good for both beginners and advanced users. As long as your running on an updated flagship device, you should have a great experience. (I'm operating on the Samsung Galaxy S9+) That being said, also make sure the ROMs you run are good quality as this will make the difference between a good and bad experience.

My only real complaint is (from what I've seen, at least) there's no way to change the size or layout of the touch screen controls. The buttons and analog stick are a BIT too small for my liking. Other than that, though, this is a great emulator! It runs VERY smoothly, and aside from a few glitchy textures here and there, the games look just fine!

1. Some games freeze mid-emulation regardless of ROM copy and plugin, meaning there's some more work on support that needs to be done. Also, could just be the Galaxy S5, not sure. Hydro Thunder is one example. 2. Why on Earth can't I move where the buttons are placed? I don't have Shaq's hands, my dudes. 3. When the games work, this emulator is solid, very very very well done, and I love the built in cheats and savestates. Furthermore, the additional tools and graphics options are a plus. 4. WHERE'S THE "PAY ME ONCE TO GET RID OF ADS FOREVER" OPTION for god's sake!?

I think overall it is pretty great. There is one major problem, though. It doesn't display some textures for me, things like some characters' faces in Smash 64 and even a lot of characters' models in Paper Mario. I'm not sure why it happens, but if this is a bug with the app, please fix it.

Honestly if it weren't for the fact that the thing tanks for certain games, it'd get 5 stars. It runs almost flawlessly with some games—it ran Banjo Kazooie like a dream. Tooie, on the other hand, runs for all of 3 minutes before crashing. Apparently this app is running an older Emulator ver. (1.9) instead of the more recent versions (the alpha for v3 has been out for awhile). Idk if a fix for this is already in works but I hope it will be soon.

Finding the games in your files is easy and they automatically give you access to cheats without having to look up codes! Both are wonderful features, but the emulator is missing two things that keep it from 5 stars; No speed up button and no way to change the layout of the buttons which are too small for me to use effectively.

Excellent performance from my device. It's not the most optimal for emulation but Igot outstanding speed and compatibility. One thing I do suggest is the ability to move the onscreen controls around, such as the A and B buttons along with the inital joystick position. If there is a way to do this I apologize.

Awesome emulator so far. Only thing is I want to adjust the button layout. I would like to have a setting to move the buttons to where I want them to be and adjust each button size. If your having problems with glitches in the background go into your settings and mess around. I was having problems with the background on Majora's Mask and I went into settings and there was a box checked that said "check for better rendering(might cause background glitches)"so I unchecked it and it was fixed!

It's a great emulator, but I always have severe input lag and drops while I'm using a Bluetooth controller. It works correctly only when I connect my controller directly to my phone through a USB cable. I'm not sure if it's just my phone, which is a Note 5, but I would love to see this issue fixed.

Welp, the other free option is pretty nice, however it lacks the ability to know what every setting does, in here it labels everything to say if it runs faster or slower at cost of graphics or framerates, while the other option has confusing settings that you need to understand prior to editing it, however it runs much faster than this, overall this is okay.

WARNING TO OTHERS! I can't rate 0. I've had this on my phone for a long time, and enjoyed when I played it because it is pretty compatible with most of my games. Unfortunately, since the most recent update, it has started downloading in the background and racked up 1.7gb of data on my phone in 2 days. I now have an overage on my bill because of this, and have uninstalled this app and will NEVER install it again. This is absolutely unacceptable, and if it wasn't piracy in the first place, I would be demanding they pay off the charges.

The emulator works fine... but the problem that turns me completely off from it is that after I updated it, it started running in the background, hogging up battery life. To make matters worse, it decided to use up over 700 MBs of data in a matter of days, for whatever reason may be. Beware of this app, it has gone sour.

Its a great emulator but runs power in the background and drains your battery fast without you even knowing, my phone alerts me when an app is running in the background and this app was running in the background the whole time. Other then that it would have been perfect. But for now uninstalled.

What a shame. Been using the most recent (I think) version of your app for years. Now you're going to redirect my browser at random, want my precise GPS and call details, and take over my phone? At first I thought the antivirus warnings must be false, but alas. After uninstalling the app today, the problems disappeared. A sad parting. But goodbye.

Works extremely well with the right ROM. I use it for Smash Bros 64, and it works perfectly! No lag, the only problem is that the characters don't have faces, which is not a big deal. In response to the comments about ads, I never found them a problem. They are rare for me, and even then they last for barely any time. 5/5

This app is absolutely perfect except for one flaw, I hope the developers are still active and fix this issue I'm having because as I said it is 1 step away from perfection I will change my review to all 5 stars if this is fixed, the issue I'm having is I can't find an option to change the y axis to inverted I know it isn't the most common play style but there are many of us who play inverted. Please please fix this I really like this better than mugen64 but will have to switch if a solution isn't implemented thank you very much for your effort in making this app

Fantastic app works smooth, since using I have had 3 pauses in game then commence as if just needing to load, but then again my tablet has lived quite a life thus I could care less, cause it always loads the last screen you looked at if something happened, the one thing keeping me from five stars is the adds frequency, I totally get making this app to have advertisements beeing it's a free app (awesome one) cause it helps with funding buuut I seem to need to move fast through settings cause its about every 10 seconds an add pops up, other than that thanks.
