MELOBEAT - Awesome Piano & MP3 Rhythm Game

Incredible game. Simple and to the point. Want to add a hint of challenge to your favourite songs? You can do it right in this game, no confusion. One thing I would REALLY love to see added is the ability to create a level for a specific MP3. It wouldn't be that hard to make a level, just tap to where you'd want the notes to appear in the final level. And then you could challenge your friends with it. Just a thought, but otherwise great game.

A really good game except for the fact that there is this bug where if you do too much at once it has a chance of crashing and if it doesnt it doesnt let you click any notes for a very short time period but just enough to screw you over. Fine for easier levels but for levels like turkish march it makes it practically unplayable. All in all though i would choose this game over piano tiles.

the generator is occasionally really unique. does its job of a lightweight simple rhythm game, except for the difficulty, rating & health systems. The rating is pretty weak. grades between F and S don't matter because of how much songs vary in difficulty and how strict it is. The health is just a mess. someone made the "smart" decision of adding both a system that slowly increases difficulty, and one that resets you if you do badly, so you'll be replaying the easy parts of difficult songs a lot.

Great app. I like how you can choose your own song and it goes surprisingly well with the rhythm of the song you choose. Sometimes, even on easy, it's still hard, might be hard to fix though since creating games are hard, that's only when choosing your own songs though. But it is a decent app, I recommend it if these are your types of games.

This is the best mobile rhythm game by a hundred million miles. It is simple fun and the charting for imported maps is very good(not perfect though, it is sometimes out of tune). I highly recommend this game. In a future update, I hope an accuracy percentage is added at the end of a song or if you fail.

This game is absolutely incredible, the gameplay is smooth and has great chartings. The fact that the game auto creates chartings for your random songs is amazing, even tho it's not good with hard songs, it only works acceptably good with simple songs like, trap or something. The bad thing i found about this game is that there are no long notes, they don't work sadly... please fix this soon rythm games aren't the same without them! Other than that the game is incredible.

This is so cool! I mean when doing custom songs, sometimes the tiles dont fit in with the song, but most of the time they do! You cant have super high expectations for a randomly generated best to your song. I love it because it immerses me with my music.

I don't know why, but the sync accuracy on custom songs are unusually pinpointed, especially with japanese songs because they rarely use autotune, which renders sync hard to do. It works so well with EDM and J-pop because it has little to no rhytmic blunders. I recommend this, it is simple, yet so entertaining, all my 128 songs are available to use:)

Unfortunately there's no hit sounds when you play a custom song (from your device) and I don't think there will ever be one because it's impossible to add hit sounds on our custom songs cause it comes from our device, not the app. However there is a good option for this, if you guys add some songs on your app (The ones that aren't classical and will have hit sounds because it's not from our phone.) I think it will work out pretty well! Aside that, the game is pretty good and worth installing!

I'll keep it short. - Needs ability to create and share levels. - Probably should make it so doubles can't be fit into half of the screen, making one of your fingers have to reach over to the other side. (Sounds silly, but it'll feel much nicer to play.) - Lags on rare occasions, but when it does, the entire level is ruined. - Everything else is great.

almost perfect. The app itself is awesome, addictive and fun yet i do have a slight problem with the 'songs' section where your own songs are fed into the app. It works great it's that that the audio and the beats don't seem to be lining up, it is as if there was a slight delay with one of them. i hope that you can fix this so i can give a 5 star review.

This game is great and I don't think I encountered any ads while playing (at least, not yet), but for some reason, if I pause the game and turn off my phone, and then turn the phone back on after about an hour, the game freezes either when I unpause the game or when I complete the level. To fix this, I usually just closed the game and cleared the cache (not clearing the cache results in the game being black on startup).

A very enjoyable game. It's the best mp3 rhythm one can find, and for free, most others are freemium. The only downside this game has is that 90% of songs are far, far too easy, even on hardest difficulty. Also, I think having the scroll be able to go greater than 4 times would be preferable, as I prefer having a high scroll speed. I also had an issue where songs that are quiter, or most wind instrument, goes completely undetected and have no notes to accompany them. A decent amount of Rossini's "William Tell Overture" finale is nothingness, just to name one.

One of the few rhythm games I can actually play. I'm not great at them (too slow/miss too many notes) but Melobeat isn't too fast, and as long as the lifebar isn't empty, won't fail you. The game does freeze when it's loading, however (and loading times tend to be long) but I found it only froze if I tapped the screen while it was loading. I would also appreciate a way to favourite or block songs, as well as a way to remove songs from the recent songs list without have to reinstall the game.

Nice game, needs performance improvements though. Sometimes when tapping to hit the beat it will not register as you having hit the beat, and will result in a miss. This happens mostly when you need to hit two beat nodes at the same time. The nodes also seem somewhat off compared to the music, I don't know whether it's just me but it rarely seems to be on beat.

I realize that I left a really negative review earlier. I want to take that back. I revisited the game and found that it actually controls surprisingly well. The graphics are far more stylish than 80% of the cheap 4 lane games around. The actual levels are pretty fun, too. As for some tips on improving the game, I'd recommend making it so the notes are higher on the screen when you hit early (kind of like Deemo). Also, for casual players, you should add a mode with no health bar.

This is an amazing app with tons of potential. It gives allows you to play your own songs as if they were in another melody game such as Piano Tiles. Only problem is the tiles are very small, making it hard for new players to get the hand of it, and the way it loads beats is sometimes off by quite a bit. Some suggestions would be to let players tap the screen to the beat, before playing the level, so the game can better understand how to follow the beat. Other than that, great game!!

I think the concept for this app is great. It's simple and the beat generation from mp3's is more accurate than competitors. However, the controls are counterintuitive. Instead of tapping the blocks when they reach the bar, I constantly find myself wanting to tap the blocks themselves. Because the bar is so low on the screen my thumbs are positioned much higher, which makes it a lot harder to coordinate them to act when they get to the bottom instead of when they appear under my fingers.

The game has gotten a lot better since i've last played this. The hit boxes are better, the gameplay is a lot smoother than before however my only problem now is the game literally just broke and stopped generating a level for the other songs in my playlist. Only 3 songs out of my playlist of 100+ could be played as songs. Literally everything else is just a blank and nothing coming out for the entire duration of it. Please fix this, this game has so much potential.

The game is amazing! I love being able to play with my favourite songs! However, the long notes feel a bit odd. Since I play in 4x on crazy mode, I kind of need to cut my long notes short to be able to hit the next notes. But, when I do that, I immediately get a miss because I didn't hold the long note for enough time. I guess it isn't really a problem with the game, but I do think it can get annoying.

A simple and awesome rythm mobile game done right. I love this game because of how easy it is to boot up and play. This game has very simple mechanics and is very fun to play. I love how well the game works with music you have on your devics. The only major flaw it has that in the middle of gameplay, the game randomly skips a ton of tile causing you to lose your streak and points and even possibly lose the game. I really hope this frustrating bug goes away. Besides that, the game is awesome.

The game is awesome and all. You can choose your downloaded MP3 songs in your phone to play it in the game. However, I've been encountering a lot of bugs lately (or is it just my phone). Whenever I tap one of the lines, it didn't register and I miss some of them making me losing, and progressing the game. Please fix this asap.

This game has gotten so much better. Back when I played it a long time ago, I would have given it a 3* or less. The AI has gotten alot faster and better at making auto charts. the game itself is so much more enjoyable and crazy diff is actually crazy. The only thing I would love to see is a more merciful health system. Also an editor for you to make your own charts. And the power to save charts both yours and auto charts and being able to add numeral at the chart as a difficulty. Amazing game

I absolutely love MELOBEAT. But I've ran into some issues while playing it. First off, the game won't read FLACs (lossless audio files). I have a 20 GB music FLAC collection and it's reading none of it. Second issue is it's not even showing all the MP3s I do have. I would love for these issues to be fixed in the next update. But the rest is awesome! I'd happily give it 5 stars if it wasn't for these issues.

This is a really fun game!! I play it on an Android so I can download whatever song I want which is great. Unfortunately my friend with an iOS can't do that. I hope that that changes soon. I also accidentally added a duplicate of a song but I don't see any way to remove it. Despite that though I totally recommend the game. It's great for hand-eye-(and ear?) coordination :3

This game is amazing. It supports all skill levels, allowing you to speed up to 4x, choose from 4 very varied difficulties, and disable or enable long/double notes. It sees all my mp3s perfectly, and it literally feels like Guitar Hero on my phone. My only ask is that there is an option to remove failing, which would be nice for a more relaxing experience.
