Melody Scanner - Audio to Sheet Music

While I really appreciate the fact that the application does its best in transcribing the music, I have issues with the desktop version. The notes aren't visible when I play the piece after editing, sometimes it doesn't save the changes and worse, the mechanisms for editing the notes on the music sheet are more difficult to execute than on the mobile app. I'd invite the team to fix the desktop version, with thanks. And the app is helpful, keep it up with the good work!

This app does exactly what it says it does. Folks, if you are at a point at which you are able to pick apart all the small mistakes the app makes in transcribing what you are hearing yourself play, you are probably at a skill level that is where you can draft your own notation. For beginner-to-mid-level people like me, who know "just enough" to be dangerous, this is a perfect tool, even if the algorithm isn't perfect, which the developers says upfront. And it's free.

The algorithm is not perfect but it allows you to be creative and play without worrying about replicating it later! The editing feature needs to be improved, I cant even figure out how to add a note where one does not exist (and some were not present in the output) but I am a huge fan! I was wishing something existed that allowed real instruments to be transcribed into sheet music just the other day and Voila! Melody scanner to the rescue!

Oh, boy this needs work. As a music transcriber, it works relatively well. A large problem I found with my first scan was that the music was transcribed poorly when a video only had little noise. The melody and notes were mostly correct but the length the notes were held for were all kinds of messed up. I can work out the mistakes manually but the editor is very poor. My biggest problem was that you cannot recieve the full score without premium, which is NOT okay. Please, devs! Fix that!

This was overall an interesting experience, but definitely didn't live up to expectations. Able to do multiple instruments at once? Nope. The time limit being only one minute is definitely not helpful at all, especially when I want to have my band play a song play a three and a half minute song. Definitely disappointing, but it does do some of what is advertised.

the app is great! easy to use and the transcriptions are really accurate, however i feel like on the edit section there should be a feature where you can simply switch which notes go on the right hand and which go on left, since most of the time they are incorrectly placed. please consider adding it since it would be extremely useful!!

This app is really cool i wish i can find more apps like this one, but the problem in this app is laggy, and everytime one line of the sheet ends it lag spike and continues and it's sustain is trying hard but it's not work so we get this music sharp edges even though the music was suppose to have a fade in it. But i'm look forward to the future using this app.

Great program! I try to learn more and more about it as I go. I can't read sheet music very well, at least not site read fast yet, but I sure want to. I saw that it let's you correct what it tabs out and notates for you. I have held off on paying for premium, only because I'm always broke, but it it totally feels like a perfect learning tool to combine with Fender Play, or Yousician, and if you like Melody Scanner, you should definately also try Fretboard Learn, HumOn, and maybe try Maestro.

I'm giving a two, because someone's obviously went to an incredible amount of work on this shell. Unfortunately the algorithms are useless, and the program is worthless, non-functional as it is. You guys should look at Chord AI, to see what they're doing with phase lock loops to get the correct music into their transcriptions maybe license some of it. But as it stands, there's no use in downloading this, at least for voice. It's output is complete higgledy-piggledy nonsense, I'm sorry to say.

This is like Christmas. Is it perfect? No, but for "perfect" you could pay an online service ~$100 for one song. This is a great start to figuring out some of your favorites on piano, and it's quick turnaround. I'm really happy with it. Y'all can complain about $5 all you want, I'm just thrilled to get help on songs I've listened to and loved for years.

Best Transcriber I have seen, .. PERIOD! I've tried numerous web based Transcriber's AND different App's over the last 5 years & this is THE Very best. I didn't give it 5 Stars because I feel more can be improved. Such as the Piano Bar's, Moving them around can be difficult because of them being so small. Maybe if you could zoom in. I really wanted to give it 5 just because it's the best I've seen and very accurate. ...also FREE of course.

Good idea, but unfortunately didn't work well. It didn't pick up several notes on the piano, even though the mic was right next to the speakers, and the volume was sufficient. Then tried the editor. The editor was all over the place and buggy. I uninstalled this after 1 frustrating hour.

Tried the demo, picked up on most notes in a piano intro to a song (from youtube) well although recognition of time signature and note values was a little off. I was still relatively impressed. The issue came after closing the app. the phone kept randomly paying piano notes in the background. Had to use force stop the app.

Works great!. Many old songs out of print nowadays. This fixes that! **One challenge** finding the print button on the ANDROID APP... After finding out importing song, you must click " sheet down arrow button and then choose pianoroll. Then the download button shows up. Click THAT to get drop down menu to print, save as .Pdf etc.

It still seems unfinished, but I intended to buy it for some reasonable price, and to support your good work. I give you one star only for choosing subscription model instead of setting some moderate price. Not acceptable for me.

i havent really found any lags or errors while listening to the scanned music, i like the fact that it has a piano roll since i have to take a lot of time to read notes so like, this app is great ! it does have a very sharp pause between the notes but i think thats because its a machine made to scan, not an app for playing on the piano digitally so im fine with that anyway ! great app yeah thats all

Trying to use this app is just very unwelcoming. The youtube converter function displayed no results, despite even posting direct links. The demo song sounds horrendous, and the only other thing to try is blocked behind a paywall. In short, I strongly suggest using anything else. Edited after the fix, So you lock half the song behind a paywall as well? Seems fair, for a garbage business practice.

I would like to see the full version of the app made completely free. It is extremely disappointing that I have to purchase the full version if I want to keep going. I wanted to transcribe some music for my YouTube channel, Tribute Central, but I am unable to find a free, full version transcriber app. Plz make the full version free, ir make a new free app.

It's not good for violin. There are too many rests, and the notes are for beginners. You cannot edit and change to advanced. Even though I delete the song from my songbook, the song still plays in the background. It's so annoying.

I tried a few tunes on my flute. There were many missed notes and other (not played) notes written. Maybe in time this will improve. Shame on the developers to ask such a high fee for a monthly subscription for an app that is still in development. This is mainly the reason for a low score.

Generally like the app however, its UI is kinda clunky. It could use info on the current state of the transcription. Also just a simple click to record and transcribe would be useful. Also the pricing on premium subscription is kinda high for essentially a tool instead of a service. I would probably purchase a lifetime access option if it was available but subscribing just doesn't fit for casual use very well.

This app isn't perfect. But its definitely one of the better options on play store. This app deserves better ratings. The only problem was that I had to pay to upload my music to the converter. But that may not be a problem to some people! So honestly, this app was ok! I'm pretty impressed
