Awesome database if you know what you want. It will store pictures and views are very customizable. It's definitely worth trying the options out to see how it's organized before you fully develop your schema. I also love that you can copy an entire database, and sync to Google sheets for backup. Gets an A+ from an experienced and picky database user.
Just feels like is missing somethings! Is there anyway you can add thumbnails where you click on an image and it will display whatever file you have link to it? Like on any website! Such as having a thumbnail of a youtube video you created and when you click on it it opens a video player and or a file such as a comic or pdf viewer that directly opens when you click a thumbnail! That's what i think is missing! Unless it already exist i just don't know or see it in the fields section🤔
I've been using the free version of Memento Database for years, but I finally upgraded to the paid version when I wanted to be able to upload more than three databases to the cloud and transfer them to my new phone. I thought it had worked, until I realized that the databases I downloaded from the cloud weren't the latest versions. I had to spend hours re-entering data. Once that was done, I had no reason to continue the subscription, but something went wrong and I've been charged.
Able to customize your own database. This is the best app I've found that's versatile enough for you to create any type of database you might need. There are several templates to choose from or you can customize and make your own. The fields are pre-formatted so all you have to do is add them to your database. Once you create your first one it's simple and easy to keep making more. I haven't found the need to use the Pro yet but will probably upgrade soon because it's well worth it.
Was able to setup automatic sync through google drive integration, but was unable to figure out how to specify the folder (so it creates the sheet and corresponding image-folder directly in root). Was unable to figure out how to create container-items, and the "libraries" can't be assigned a thumbnail&qrcode, as well as gets their own google sheet, so not ideal to act as the container.
Used it she many years to organize, get totals of several databases. It does take some experience to get it to look and function correctly. Worth the programming effort to get it the way one wants.
I've been searching for an app to manage my home inventory and memento meets most my requirements. Its a mini db so it offers flexibility to build the library and items as well as run query. One feature I expect to see in the future is the overseas scanning system so I could add the item by scanning barcode even i am not in US.
Great versatile mobile database. It's ability to share with others and synchronise with Google sheets gives it amazing power. Available on all platforms. Occasional sync problems when change device or phone.
This db turns out to be perfect for Japanese kanji, but it was neither obvious that it would be, nor was it obvious how it would be ... but it has been, so far. Memento has some slightly arcane features that prove to be remarkably suited to a kanji database with entry requiring not use of kana if you have a copy of the kanji as entry name text. Reach out to me on VR, Fb or Tw for my steps: a Youtube video comes later. 5 stars ( unexpected, but fully merited. ) Bravo !
I like this app a lot. However, I'd add the ability to copy the structure of a page in a library to the long list of wonderful ideas for improvement of this app you have in the reviews.
As simple or as complex as you want. Stores just about anything and can keep it private on the device. If there was a private Windows version (currently Internet based in Russia so that makes it semi-public) I would jump on it. Still, it's great for small things on Android. Bigger things need bigger machines. And if you don't mind your data being stored in Russia, it's great.
A bit of a learning curve to figure things out but once you get the hang of how it works, it's really very flexible. After looking at a lot of other options this was the only app that could really do what I wanted to do. I use it for a very customised symptom tracker for health problems. Support in the dedicated google group has helped me solve any technical questions. "Desktop" version is a bit sketchy but the android app seems solid and reliable.
This is probably the best app out there for organizing just about everything without any pesky pop-up ads. With a wide variety of fields to choose from, it overall makes my life easier. An improvement I would suggest would be to add a customizable scale field. There is a 0-5 rating field that is similar but no substitute for a scale which, if I wanted to scale the percentage of something, there should be a 0-100 scale option for.
I am compiling a database and searched high and low for a good App to do this. Memento has been absolutely brilliant for what I'm doing. Easy to use, free and fully recommended. To find an App these days where it ie exactly what you want to do is rare, but this is one of them . 5 stars definitely.
Brilliant. Easy (if you've had database experience before) , highly customisable. Couldn't find the right seed cataloguing and planting planning app and ended up making my own with this app.
Well thought out with lots of prebuilt templates which can be adjusted to your needs. Advanced search feature is great. It has worked well for me so far.
Terrible customer service. Sent 2 emails with no reply. I do like this app, but I'm at my storage limit of 2gigs on their cloud. There is no option to buy more space. If someone gets back to me, I will reconsider my rating.
This app was on my phone for a while, but did not use it. Right now I use it for two things. One is electrical part organization, and for worklog. Very versatile solution for organizational and storage problems. You have to tweak the library first to be super easy to add entries and to be able to search effectively. It took me a while to realize there is a "swipe-from-right" menu in the library, for filtering.
In the age of oversimplified apps it's nice to see one that offers tons of features and is actually usable. UI is clean and well thought out. With this app you can realise functionality of many other apps - e.g. want a book list app? Just make a memento database for that. You'll have to put some time and effort into it, but in exchange you get a solution that is customized to your needs and everything works just as you want. You can even add simple scripts, which opens a door to automation. The free version has more than enough features to satisfy most users. (note: I don't use any cloud features so my opinion doesn't include that)
Works well, but there are some annoying misfeatures in the UI: (1) The most common operation on a DB is a query. So why is the facility to construct a filter down two menu levels? It should be more easily accessed. Similarly, why not support a home screen shortcut for queries, as is the case for creating new entries, a far less frequent operation. (2) The top level search is not very useful because the search is cleared as soon as the user looks at one of the matching entries. So if multiple entries match, and the one I examine is not the one of interest, the search has to be repeated. Instead the search result should be maintained until cleared by the user (just as filters behave). I am looking for an alternative to this application.
DECEPTIVE! I really liked it at first. The templet function was great once I figured it out. And then... I found its limitations in the free version. (e.g. you can't transfer files/ password protect is very limited/etc.) I liked it enough to consider upgrading to the pro version, only to discover it's not a 1-time fee, but a SUBSCRIPTION! This should be clearly disclosed so customers who are willing to pay but aren't looking for a subscription service can avoid wasting time setting up files!
It has many features but it can be better. First of all, the UI is kind of intuitive but not very easy to use. Then, some of the features like auto-complete don't work always and have some problems like the date being shown in some random numbers. Overall the app is great, but when used in reality, it is somewhat confusing. I think it can be better with some fixes and changes in the ui.
This app is really slick. Super easy to use. I've been working on a project in Access, needed something to take into the field to collect data, and this was perfect. The only reason I don't ditch Access and go with this is that the monthly pricing plan doesn't appeal to me. If I could buy the full featured application, for Android and PC, with portability to MS Office(for compatability reasons), I'd go with this all the way! The monthly pricing plan is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars.
As a sole trader, I can recommend this for everyone who has a warehouse, stocks or any kind of thing which are necessary to be evident. The best in this app is its ability to adjust almost everything. You can create your own evidence list with your own requirements. I need to mention also, that when I want to have counted price totaly in the corner below the list, there is not counting total price, but price only for one item, where there is in one item quantity more than one. it just count one.
While I like the app and its flexibility, there is a problem. They do not have a way to save your data so as you change devices, you have re-enter the data every time, this is very tedious. You can't take a picture, then back up your phone or move photos to you external memory. You have to re take your pictures everytime. There should be a way to take picture and the stay in the program instead of jumping through hoops to repeat the tedious activity of taking pictures you previously took.
Easy to define your own inventory and to add items. Chart features are fun. Sync with google sheets guarantees against app service removal or regressions. Nice to be able to unlock all featues with one time payment. Only cloud services need monthly payment, which makes sense. I use it for inventory of my collections (miniatures, games) and avoid buying twice the same item thanks to barcode checks.
