Memphis Grills

The grill is not smart, nor connected. 1. The grill's wifi module does not stay connected, and I have had it replaced. 2. The grill prioritizes the settings from the app over manual settings from the grill's buttons. The result is sudden and drastic grill changes when the wifi happens to connect. 3. The app does not display data correctly. The graphs have completely wrong scales. This basic math error is crazy, and shows their lack of quality. I ran out of characters. Cannot recommend

The wifi card supports only 2.4Ghz band, disable smart band switching on your router or the grill will contantly disconnect from wifi. Make sure you see 2 wifi networks on a laptop before connecting to wifi. Initial setup did not work on android phone, redirect to the ssid page doesn't work. Setup works fine from a laptop. Disconnect grill power to reset the wifi card after a power outage. Works from my phone to control the grill remotely, you don't have to be on local network.

App is junk, it's almost impossible to set up and the feature set is minimal once you finally do get it up. The app cast a bad hue on the 5k grill it is supposed to run. If automation is necessary I'd look at different options, I am.

I love the app, it is very useful for keeping an eye on the grill. This app isnt very well reviewed here but I havent had any issues like the ones described in other reviews (knock on wood!). Reading the forums it seems this is mostly an issue with spotty wifi or if the grill isn't far from the router (definitely not an issue for me)

The process to add a grill does not work in the Android app. I had to borrow an iPhone to get it added. Sometimes the app force closes and the recipes feature does not work. The grill is awesome, a very high quality product. But the app is garbage, and hurts the value of the grill. I tried emailing the developer, but email gets returned, says not a valid address. With such poor support , makes me worried about the day I need technical support for some issue with the grill!

Basically nothing works in the app temperature recipes history none of it gives any Real time information You have to constantly hit refresh to see what the temperature is. if you click on recipes the app shuts down and kicks you out

Ebarassing. Garbage app for a grill of this price. New error today is that it tells me I have the wrong email and password all of a sudden. No point getting in to the details because it's just a terrible app. For this quality of grill, whoever worked on this app needs fired. The grill itself makes great food; love it.

DON'T BUY THIS GRILL if operating remotely is a must have (as it is for me). The app is terrible, and rarely works. I've read a ton of these reviews that say you buy this grill for the grill and not the app, but I disagree. If I wanted to babysit a smoker, I'd buy a stick burner. I bought a pellet smoker because I have three young kids and I cant watch a smoker for 12 hours. The app not working is a BIG deal. It is a huge part of why I spent 10k on a smoker. PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This app is awful. is nearly impossible to get to reconnect. For such a nice grill they need to improve this app. The remote control of the grill was one of the reasons I bought it.

absolutely horrible app. after my grill lost its wifi connection for some unknown reason i cant log back into the app. no way to reset the password. brilliant!!!! grill has wifi again. love the grill but this app is terrible.

Won't add the grill, won't log in. There's no real troubleshooting from Memphis, and reddit only talks about iOS. Really a piece of junk, they advertise the mobile app stuff so hard and it's useless. What a joke.

Terrible app. Quit working and nothing I try brings it back online. The grill itself if great but the company should be embarrassed by the functionality and the technical support of this app.

app is terrible, never stays connected to grill. grill shows connected to wifi and is in my network map. how about a fix?!

app work the first time it was set up. after a power cycle it has not worked again.

Don't bother with the app. Just enjoy the grill manually. Remember, Memphis Grill makes their living on providing damn good grills and NOT making wifi software.

Can be hard to set up, but once it's set up it works great

$10,000 spent on elite built in and outdoor kitchen setup. Grill is great, but this app is awful. It never works. On the rare occasion it does work (communicate, send data), it is short lived. If I close the app and reopen it, then it stops working again! My WiFi signal I'd great, so I don't want that excuse. I can set up my Sonos speakers in my neighbors driveway 2 doors down and they run perfectly off my WiFi signal. I find myself constantly having to go out and check cooking temps, which is what I wasn't supposed to have to do. Wasn't that one of the sale pitches from the Memphis Grills website?!?

Lucky if it works half the time! So frustrating!

I'll be danged if I know where it is sending an email to for confirmation. Entered a user name and a password and it says it is sending a confirmation email (which I assume) is to set up an account.

I spent $7100 on a setup and love it. The only negative is this app. Half the time it won't show temps. I can close app and reload and nothing changes. Wi-Fi on the grill is working but app fails to update no matter how many times you hit the refresh button. Great concept that was poorly executed. Fingers crossed!

Was not working until the app updated itself. This app will also work on Android tablet.

Verified my email after installing, but the app still won't open.

App had an issue at first, contacted their customer service, they were very prompt and helpful, fixed the problem the next day, and now it seems to work great!!
