No hamburger menu like on the website. It has a clunky UI. You have to click tool box to shop by departments. It took me awhile to find it. When designing an app things should be obvious and easy to find. I work with computers so I'm not incompetent.
I should have never updated this app. It is horrible since I updated last. Constantly freezes up and won't let me scroll through images when it does actually find something. I used to really like this app, but now I hate it!
If you could do one thing, and one thing only, revert the app to the last interface... This new one is garbage. It was so easy to get to the departments tab for shopping, now it's terrible and the search function seems to have gone way down hill.
Complete junk. Half the time it doesn't work at all. On those occasions when it does successfully boot, the search function is worse than worthless - the level of frustration it engenders is an active deterent to remaining a customer. A user has to search 12 different terms to figure out which one happens to be programmed in, there's no such thing as searching by a commonly used name. Currently, it does nothing. Type a query, hit search, and... nothing. The keyboard goes away. That's it.
This app has gotten so slow and stalls out all the time. When first starting my phone flags it as having locked up and askes If I want to wait or restart it. It even stalls out if I change screens or search, won't accept any input for several seconds. It's like trying to run Cyrsis on a Pentium 4.
Thank you, Menards, for listening to all the complaints following the release of the prior version. The menu ribbon is a vast improvement and I can actually get to departments.
Extremely slow to boot up. Search function no longer works. Uninstalling then reinstalling does not work either. Can't even search for a local store, so the app will not boot up at all beyond that screen.
Sure would be nice to be able to print the rebate form. Tried using the app and it keeps telling me "Cannot download, save then print." Never get the option to download. Cannot do via the browser because this STUPID F'ING APP keeps grabbing everything I try to do in the browser. KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY! IF I WANT TO USE THE APP, I WILL. LET ME USE THE BROWSER WHEN I WANT!!!
What you order is NOT what you get. Plus This company doesn't notify you about anything missing, your order just isn't complete. You have no idea what you'll get. Orders are never right. You must do pickup at the store because this company has astronomical shipping charges! They charge shipping for each item not the whole order the way other sites do. This makes shipping to houses impossible. The shipping is so high! I never have items shipped.
The Menards app just recently received an update. I prefer the older version. In the older version when I clicked in the menu icon in the upper left, I could click on "Shop by Department". To me, this was a much easier option to look up what I wanted to find rather than using the search bar. I do like how when you find the item you want you can click on "view in store" and it will get you close to what you are looking for. Bring back "shop by department" in the next update please?
I DO NOT like like the newest updates. I always use the Menards app before going to the store to make sure items are in stock. Opened it today and everything has changed. The side menu no longer has listing for departments. I liked it when I could go straight to the department needed and choose what was needed in that area. Now have to search the app home page to find department and not all departments are there. I had to search individual items. Big hassle!
This app is becoming exceedingly useless. I frequently get an message about the app having stopped responding and asks if I'd like to wait or close it. Today I'm getting an error about something going wrong when trying to open the cart. Attempting to search also throws an error. I have to assume that some of this is temporary, but it needs some work to make it more reliable.
When you search an item and then click it to read the details and then go back to the list it takes you back to the top, not where you were at in the search list. Very annoying and inconvenient,please fix.
the app was just fine before the latest change... one could quickly access all the main departments from the drop down menu that was immediately visible upon opening app. But now, one has to swipe across the screen several times to get to the "departments" icon and click...and which until recently have an error message.
I like the physical Menards store itself, the app not so much. My wife can pick up her cleaning supplies cheaper at Menards and we can get a lot of other things when I go in to get any lumber, finish or hardware. The screen goes black every time I open the app though and says it's not responding. After clicking wait it finally loads after taking forever. It's a bug thar needs fixed. Reviews for products would be nice as well. Menards is lagging way behind Lowe's when it comes to the app.
The stores are great, and I did like the app. But, about 6 mo. ago the app started to lag upon start up and it the latest update hasn't helped. Actually, the latest update took away the shop by dept. tab from the main menu. If a guy can type it in the search tab, he maybe can find the right page. So, I gotta poke all the letters in "electrical" to get the electrical dept. front page. But, geezo who wants to do that all the time? I don't even like putting in all the letters in department on here
Really?? This app is a complete failure. Doesn't redirect inside of itself, click on the product and shuts down. Previously the app flowed through departments and searches logically. No longer the case. New update has ruined the app. I'm a business owner and daily customer, I use the app constantly as a tool for my business. Now it a mess. You need to fix this app. Today Home Depot's efficient app got my $987.00 Will they tomorrow as well?
Used to work pretty well but recent update has made app essentially useless. Search bar doesn't work at all and I can only browse the handful of departments that are listed on the main page. Selecting "SHOP ALL DEPARTMENTS" results in a pop-up window that says "No results found".
Terrible update. Puts text over everything. If you want to search for more than one item you have to close the app, then restart. I now keep a notebook handy so I can write down prices and comparative shop within the store. Forget about online shopping. Can't be done anymore with the app working like this. I'm sure Putin is somehow to blame for this too. #LetsGoBrandon
App terrible, click on description and app crashes. Never did that before even though app severely lacks competitors. Severely.
The app doesn't work since the recent update. It used to work decently. Now I can't even find what I am looking for, and the search doesn't work.
Search was marginal at best before the update. Now it doesn't even allow keyboard to open. How can you use a search function without being able to type anything?
Jan 2022 update stalls when loading evey time on all my devices, running android 10, 11, and 12. Search stalls as well. Both start up and search stall to the point that android dialog pops up and asks if I want to close app or wait, if you say wait, many times it will bring up the dialog again. Please roll back a version or two to something that works while you fix this version.
App continues to simply run in circles not allowing a payment to be made without an update. And then refused to update so I deleted the app and reloaded it... same issue. Junk.
App was better before update. Search does not work for me. Pulls up multiple categories and non related product. "Departments" is no longer a quick menu option. Therefore when looking through for a certain department and category, u have to constantly go back to home screen, and then hope that the graphics don't error out and overlay multiple screens at same time. Disappointed and frustrated as I used app alot to find options and pricing while diy remodeling my home.
