Mercedes me connect (USA)

I connected to my '22 GLC and the app works great. it even notifies me when we forget to lock the car. I read other reviews that were poor and commented that the remote start didn't work. Everything has worked perfectly for us and I would encourage folks to make sure they download the right app for their model year of car. There is a difference. Love this app and experience!

The app occasionally logs me out. To log in, a code is sent to my email address. This wouldn't be a problem, except switching apps to lookup the code in my email causes the app to go back to the main login screen. Each time you try to log in, a new code is sent. So basically, I need two devices just to log back in when the app logs me out for whatever reason.

Abysmal performance... when it runs at all. I find it works less than 10 percent of the time. Mercedes should be embarrassed by this software. Edit 3/29/2020: Updating to version 3.18.1 helped somewhat. I've been using it for about a month. I was able to connect more often, but the app still crashed more than it worked. I found that clearing the stored data (Settings -> Apps -> Mercedes me Connect -> Storage -> Clear Data) helped the stability. But it's a pain to do this every time you want to use the app. It makes me think the app is saving bad data and then crashing when trying to use it. I just installed version 3.19.0 tonight. We'll see if that improves things further.

Starting the car rarely works and is too complicated and you can't even set the climate control, heated seats or steering wheel so what is the point? Glad it's free for now. I would never pay when my trial is up. Makes me grumpy it's the only way to remote start my car and it rarely works. And they decide to do server and app maintenance during regular hours and demands instead of off peak.

When I first got the app I thought it worked pretty good. It works fair if you are just checking status. But if you are sending something like a lock command, it just sits there spinning. Rarely give you a completed response. I'm very disappointed and find the app frustrating. The app for my Chevy pickup is much more responsive and gives more useful information.

basic functions seem to work most of the time. development team: it would be nice if the car knew it was in the garage so it wouldn't send an alert about it being unlocked. also it would be nice to be able to set a timer to auto lock the car if three conditions were met... no key IN the car, no key close outside the car, and after a time function. also it would be nice to set climate controls from the app. also I disagree with the feature that turns car off upon opening door after remote start

Omg this app frustrates me so much! It was working a bit better a few weeks ago, but since yesterday, it does not update status accurately. I cannot use the remote start at all! It shows either unlocked when car is locked or engine on when engine is off... from hours ago, and therefore, I cannot start the car remotely. Of course, I'd like to use other features of the app as well, but I'm not sure how to use it. Very frustrating and disappointing. Is there a way to "refresh" the app???

I spoke to soon. This app is abysmal. It always thinks my car is unlocked and therefore I cannot use the automatic start (I've had much cheaper cars that had no problem with this feature). When I try to lock the car with the app it just gets hung up and when I try to lock it with my keys, it doesn't matter because the app would say that it hasn't communicated with my vehicle for 7 hours, and There's nothing you can do to change that if it just gets hung up!

This app has half needed functionality for every feature youd want. Most annoying is the way it handles notifications, with no way to configure them. Sending me an email when a remote start succeeds is the most 2003 app design ive ever seen, use push notifications. And then sending a push notification when a remote start is "cancelled" when you unlock the car! Just backwards, inconsistent app design.

On those cold days when you need the remote start to work, it decides to get hung up and not work and there is no way to cancel the command and retry it because it says that there is a command in progress. Frustrating to say the least. My wife's 2021 Jetta has the function in the key fob and it works like a charm. M/B could do alot better

I have ZERO use of the app for the last 2 days. The app now opens and says it has an updated user agreement but won't allow me to accept it. It says if I choose "continue" it will accept the user agreement. Unfortunately, when I hit continue, it tells me there is an error. I have closed and forced closed the app multiple times with the same result. The car is fantastic. The app is way off brand.

Poor app. Connection could not be established all the time! Can't remote start the car!! Germans are good at engineering machines but poor in building web apps! (Update) 3 months later and still problem persists. Suddenly at very early hours, 6am, with full wifi reception remote is not working. Keep getting weird messages like reaching max numbers of trials between keys and cant establish wifi conbection. Poor service. Yeap!

Doesn't work the majority of the time therefore car features also have limited functionality. I didn't buy a 2022 Mercedes to end up with unreliable features & shouldn't have to uninstall/reinstall an app continuously. Called the help line - advised to reinstall then send screen shots. When I reinstalled the remote start feature wasn't even there to screen shot anymore. No response from Tier 2 for >3 days. My overall impression of Mercedes is NOT positive and I definitely regret this purchase.

I agree with the others. The auto start functionality rarely works. It will only run for 10 minutes which is not enough for Chicago winters and it will not cut on the heat, defrost or even turn on with the settings from when you last drove the car. It's pretty worthless. This will be my first and last Mercedes if they don't fix this!

Probably the most pathetic excuse for a car app I've ever seen. Half the time the remote start gets stuck sending the signal and the car never actually starts. No option to turn on heated seats or adjust ac or heat temperature. Lock and unlock feature is extremely slow. All the money they charge for these cars and this is the pathetic non functional app they give us.

The app works well, but doesn't allow you to change most features of your car. Also, they removed integration with 3rd party assistants like Google Assistant. That means you can't use your assistant to turn the car on. That used to be a feature on previous versions.

The update deleted options from my app - help support doesn't provide HELP. These options no longer available for me: tire pressure, engine, vehicle status, more option, view of auto showing doors, and remote start feature was NEVER available in my app. Strange how it kicks me out and requires constant logins. I have uninstalled and reinstalled trying to correct - no luck. Grrrrr!😵😬😠😡This app needs lots of work!

Pretty good app!! Wish you could do things like adjusting the cabin temperature or turn on seat heat/ventilation after remote start. Closing open windows would be nice as well. Also, fix the Valet location feature. The app uses your cellphones location to initially setup driving perimeter instead of the vehicles location.

The 12/23/21 update was great. Now all I get is a spinning blue wheel. Thank you for making your app even more worthless than it was before. 100k car that I can't warm up in the winter because the app hasn't worked for a year. Even the cheapest Korean car has a working remote start button ON THE KEY FOB. Seriously, you can't make an app work but you want me to buy an electric car from you!? LOL. No. You need to fire everyone involved with this garbage TODAY.

Revised 2.15.22. Still awful. Had a few updates no improvement. I love the vehicle This app is hugely disappointing from this brand. Terrible upgrade of the application. Previous one worked perfectly this one takes over a minute to load, very sluggish, clunky when navigating around the application. Mercedes must do something to rectify this. Quicker for me to go outside and start my car then use the application. :-( not the quality of an experience I expect from any Mercedes-Benz product!

the app is verify convenient and handy, however, it doesn't always work to start the car. a lot of the times it lags and doesn't give a signal to start which can be a pain especially if it is cold outside. it defeats the purpose because I still had to go out to start the car

Most recently I keep getting a pop-up message about my notifications being off when I open the app. But I never turned it off, so I go to turn it on, and the next day the same pop up comes and again, my notifications is turned back off. Why is it being turned off, I'm not doing it but have to turn it back on everyday. Please fix.

App saying my car is unlock and engine running, the fact that my car is locked and engine is not running. App barely works very 😡 upsetting for a Mercedes-Benz. I won't even bother renewing my plan once expired unless the issues gets fixed and running properly all the time. Very disappointed with Mercedes-Benz. App always not working.

I love this app for the most part. It's easy to use and can control most of the important features of the car remotely. cons: wish the app allowed me to control the windows and sunroof. It only shows if they are open or closed. It'd be nice to be able to close them through the app if they are left open. The same way you can lock or unlock the car.

The app should work much better than it does. Currently, I am sitting in front of my unlocked vehicle attempting to use the lock function on the app, however the status is showing vehicle locked 7 hours ago. I have not been able to start engine from the app and the accessibility of other options are simply not accurate.

Lately this app hasn't been accurate and reliable. Location is wrong and all the functions does not work at all like before . It always says it hasn't been updated for hours but the car has been driven. Please fix this!

The option to create geo fencing zones is there only the first time I log in to the app. The option never shows up after. I still get zone enter and exit notifications. But, I don't see option to configure them after the first login.

works well for current functions. I had left my windows open and the app warned me about it but I was unable to close them remotely. would be a nice future feature to be able to close anything remote (trunk, windows, roof).

App is not currently syncing with vehicle status, and unable to do remote lock and vehicle start. It indicates last sync was 12 days ago! I've verified that all updates are complete. Android phone. Is there a current issue.

I love the convenience of the app! Being able to remotely lock my doors or turn on my car as well as check my mileage and pay my note in one place is something that I've never had but never want to live without! Thank you for your excellence MB!
