Meridian Was Great! I've been using Meridian for years and it's always been the only decent player that I could use to search through the folders on my external SD card. However, it just refuses to work reliably, almost never, since I transferred over to my new Samsung Galaxy S20+. It just keeps telling me that access to my SD card is denied, despite the permission to modify all files on there being checked 😕 It was an awesome application, so I'm really hoping that it can and will be fixed.
When it works, it's great, but when it doesn't, its frustrating. This "player" just refuses to play some files. Typically what I've experienced is 1. audio files with embedded pictures, typically podcasts: I can see the embedded pic just fine, but Meridian just cant play the audio for some reason. It's detected as a "00:00" file. 2. Mkv files: some mkv files just wont play. I suspect that some libraries need to be updated.
Decent jukebox type player but, they need to debug so that when you end a phone call the player doesn't just start up on it's own. I've had this app on 3 different phones and the same thing happens. Other than that, I like it.
Meridian is the best music player I have ever used. So easy to use and flexible. The only challenge is that after two years of using it, my operating system won't be able to locate it. At this point, I'll have to uninstall it and then restore. It's d best even with that.
Loved this app for years, and suddenly (2020 Dec) it quit working. Now, it crashes as soon as I open it, and I get ongoing errors: "Meridian Player keeps crashing." Bad end to a great media player.
Great app, especially it's ability to play video when the screen is in the sleeping mode. But, it crashes after some time. Please work on it.
I was absolutely loving this app if I need to quickly browse thru my music but now for some or other reason, I can't even open it! When I click on the app icon to open it, it crashes immediately. What's going on?!

It does not work with Samsung Note 10 earpiece buttons and does not have auto resume function when being interrupted, this app really needs an update on the new features.
Worked great years ago, and it was useful. I tried it again andhis did NOT work at all for any video I tried. I was shocked.

Solid music player for large music collections on your phone. Wish it had a sleep timer.

Good, but after a while of use, the mp3 music song play screen gets white blank and no song plays.

Samsung Galaxy S7 - yet another junk app thay claims to see everything on sd card but fails miserably to see anything at all on sd.

This is an updated review. I've been using this since it released. It has always been great. Also, thx to their support. The Pro Version used to be unlocked by an app. That unlock is no longer functional. They refunded my original purchase so I could upgrade through the app. Lots of very useful features, but buy the upgrade. The limited version is lacking and the ads are annoying. I will update this once I've checked out all of the updated features.
