Getting the package open without ripping it, good luck. Garbage packaging. Finding the app advertised in the instructions, doesn't match. Finding the device ID, good luck, the device name contains letters and the app only lets you type in numbers. Trying to connect the app to your WiFi, good luck, it won't let you change the wifi network. Every step is garbage.
This APP is such a disappointment. I was considering. Writing a good review until my connection with the Wi-Fi setup and the device setup did not go through at all. No matter how many times I tried matter how close I got to the router. Nothing worked. It would not connect to the device. And I know it wasn't an issue on my end. My Wi-Fi is connected and working just fine and my device is discoverable and I just don't know why my device will Not connect to the app.
Negarive: Can not get it to connect. Other cams connect to my wireless, but not this one, no matter what I try or how many times I retry or how close I am to the router. Positive:. If you like a dim blinking red led as a light display to accompany the apps three not 'searching for router' jingle, the the app and hardware work well together... Just don't expect anything else.
Wondering when you will update the app for newer phones. Message comes up saying it's an outdated version and may not work properly for my phone - which it doesn't. Just says username/password incorrect even though camera works on older tablet.
Worst camera app ever. Most unreliable and very frustrating. When it does work (seldom), interface is slow, unfriendly, clunky. Support is almost non-existent. Would rate zero if I could.
Camera looks good so far but haven't fully used it yet. I am missing a part which looks to be some kinda cord or plug that goes into the camera n I'm about to put in n sd card no so we'll see.. hopefully it's better then the canary I have that the first month I paid for premium it stopped working two days later n can't get it to work again
After numerous tries I finally got the camera working,(not sure how I got it to work) I just kept trying. The problem is the app is always running in the background and I feel like it isn't secure so I just unplug it when I'm home.
Wish I could use this with the MIC-CW007-199W. Doesn't appear that I can. The other app is HUGE at 157 MB. Camera quality is great. Night vision is very good. Gonna see if this thing is hackable, as in, usable with standard apps, etc. Otherwise I'm returning it
Connecting with camera was a lil difficult but the real problem is all the playbacks are stuck in fast motion and no volume. if you can fix that you'll get 5 stars on it
It hooked online one time.this is the 3r separate device.an only one of the cams ever worked the way it was supposed to an then only worked till it got unplugged then was never able to reconnect.i believe it needs updated or something
Had these for about 2 months now and October they stopped working. Can get them to do anything. I even started all over like when I first got them. Nothing works. Customer service is a joke, program wants to sell you everything under the sun the after 20 minutes declining all the offers give you another number to call just to tell you you have dailed a wrong number lol. Total junk
awful! it allowed me to register once then wouldn't recognize I'd or passwd. it's not easy @ prompts ask for stuff not in manual. and one can't install on a laptop. stu @ dana Alfred's it's going back to store for refund.
Could not get this app to connect to the camera or home WiFi network. Tried this app months ago and could not get it to connect then either, please choose the Geeni app instead.
Unfinished app, no longer maintained since moving to the slightly less awful geeni platform, which is the app you need if you're reading this.
couldn't connect to network save your receipts and get you money back! no tech support available, just thieves collecting money for some plastic waste! waste of time! do not try this product!
Worst thing you could ever possibly by and I even bought the 1080 version I have android operating system 10 and it says right when you open up the app this was made for an older device and it's not compatible in its not working
Worked for a day or two. Now nothing works. Can't connect to the Wi-Fi, can't link device. Just all around bad.
Totally didn't work at all. Wouldn't connect to anything, wouldn't go online when it did. Got extremely warm. Not a great product
This camera is the worst piece of junk I ever got won't stay connected, when it does connect..would warn anyone thinking if buying this piece of junk . .DONT !!!!!!!!!!!
Merkury Smart Camera will not connect to room and WiFi. I typed in WiFi code, refuses to connect What's more can I do.
I really like this it helps when my oldest son is at home and we can see what he is doing when were not Home also we can check on our Pet's when we are a way good job but it would be helpful to have more than one device so both parents can see thank you
Will not connect to internet. Both apps for this camera do not work. Will be returning this for sure.
I would like to suggest the app made easier to connect. I could not. We live in a new World electronics. No excuses.
You cannot change the name of your Wi-Fi.it is picking up my old Wi-Fi name and I cannot change it to the new name so this camera is useless.
Same as most people are saying, can't get it to connect to wifi it says my password is wrong. Merkury "dumb" camera. Also I found out they ask for certian "permissions" to steal and sell your info. Stay away from this company and their other company Geeni.
A pretty good app, works well, some quarks but totally funtional. 1. We need a way reorder/rearrainge and resize the buttons for all the geeni items you have on screen. The app wont currently let you change them around at all. 2. Alot of times when you switch to a camera and rotate the phone for wide view it just scrunches the image to the left and you cant get it to fill the screen for awhile... 3. we need to control our various lights and others things without having to leave the camera view.
