Message Bible (MSG) Offline Free

I really appreciate the Message translation of the Bible. I have a hard cover copy of this same version, but being able to take your Bible with you everywhere without carrying a thick, heavy book with you is great. I wish there were really multi-versions of the Bible in one application like was available only a few months ago. I really miss being able go back and forth between translations to compare them with each other.

Very easy to use with drop down arrows to click for books of the Bible, chapters etc. It opens back to where you were reading before so no issue with loosing where you were. The message Bible version does group verses together purposefully (this is a complaint/ query on lots of the ratings). Only improvement would be to add a highlighting tool which other free versions have, but pleased to find this modern translated version for free.

I have used this app for 6 months, but am increasingly frustrated with it. I had been using it for Bible study, but having adds, even video adds appear is very distracting, and often quite unsettling. I HATE being advertised to by a Bible app. I have begun looking for a better app without the ads so that I can continue studying in peace. If the maker of this app were open to input, I would strongly recommend that they screen adds, and prevent the extremely distracting ones.

I really like this translation. It's easy to understand. My only complaint is that this app doesn't have features that I can customize. Like the font. It also doesn't have a highlighting passages option. I would've also liked it if it showed 'verse of the day' for previous dates.

I enjoy using this app for the plain language and communication style. The Message allows the reader to get the sense and spiritual principles of the Scripture. I use it most often when 🤔 😌 dealing with those who find the Scripture difficult and irrelevant to their lives. The Message Bible, I feel conveys the Truth in a language the hearer and reader can better understand and apply.👍 Thank you for the app. 😊

the version is awesome, the references /related verses are excellent. The only challenge am facing is when I need to foward/share a verse to what's up or Facebook. Kindly enable the app to pick the book, chapter, verse and even the bible version. Highlighting should be just by a pressing on the verse and not the special highlighter that keeps on disappearing from my fingers.Kindly also enable the app to pick highlights with different colours and ability to mark favourite verses with a star

Very explanatory and easy to understand. It is like one - on - one conversation. I would have give you four starts but it was because there is no platform of copy the favourite Verses to, no means of highlite the passage, no audio record, no note page. Nevertheless it is useful a lot. Please keep improving

I love the break down, making it easier to understand and happy to always read. My greatest challenge is the daily verses, they are never updated. I have downloaded and deleted this app several times because of the issue with the daily readings. I hope something is done about that and soon. Secondly, there is no daily reminder on the app. That would be a very nice addition too if you don't mind. In all, it's a good app. Thank you.

I like the translation, but only that there's no separation of all the verses. So I found difficult to indicate a particular verse am looking for when reading it; so that mate hard for me to use always. But if all the verses can be separated from one another that will be fine. well it took me awhile to figure out how to change the books you tap on the book at the top left-hand corner if it says Genesis tap on Genesis and all your books will show up. Very easy to maneuver, very easy reading. however I don't like the way the verses are clumped together so you're never too sure what verse you're reading you only know where you're starting and ending. but I believe most online Bibles are like that. lots of advertisements but that's what you have to put up with if you ap

I totally love the translation of this app, it's very easy to comprehend and give a clearer picture of the events and stories told in the bible. but I would recommend an upgrade to enable highlights and direct access to each individual chapter.

The App does not allow me to download additional versions on my tablet like it does on my phone. Please help me because I ove this app. Once i click install beside the version, "install" changes to "cancel" for about 1 second and then it changes back to "install" even though nothing was installed.

Simple and easy to understand version of the bible. Although, I wish the App was designed in such a way that I could access just a verse in a chapter when I wish to and not a range of verses within every chapter, making it difficult for me to know where a particular verse begins from.

I love the app itself. It would have been great having the option to move to the next chapter in scripture from the bottom (like a link to the next chapter) than to scroll all the way back up to get there. Also, offline it takes a while to open. Why is that? Still, thank you for the app. The MSG version is such an asset.

Great app to chew on the word. Daily verse is the same every day, however. Don't know to get that to change or if it's a glitch. Also, some of the text runs off the screen & can't figure out how to zoom out or resize.

I was introduced to Message Bible this week. I have not reviewed all the contents or features at this time but so far i have enjoyed reading the Message Bible along with the King James Bible. There are many times this has been helpful in understanding some passages more clearly. It is a great way to add Bible study helps.

I just newly discovered this Bible app and I really love it! I deeply appreciate the creators of this app in making the Word of God more open and accessible to all. I love the fact that I can acess this offline... which is wonderful. No excuse to not spend time reading and digesting the Word. Its young and fresh perspective, but for all ages. I feel no more drudgery reading, but I feel like Im reading a story come to life. Thanks to all...many blessings!🙏

The app is great and easy to navigate. The footnotes, cross reference, the daily Bible verses and prayers plus the fact the you can adjust the font size make it one of the best Bible apps around.

Fresh look at scripture and easy to read. It's important to read and understand scripture for the purpose of application and communing with God. The Message Bible is a blessing that enhances the other versions of the Bible (such as the KJV, NKJV, NIV and ESV versions). To have this app at no cost is awesome.

Its great app. Small in size buy powerful. Can you please make provision to read two different version parellal. Which moves in sync when one moves. One should be in upper half and other version down half of the screen.

I love the app. It's interface is really user-friendly. Kindly add other options like the 'highlighting' and 'notes' options to make it much better. Great app

Loved it. Would recommend it. The verses are explained in such simple yet elaborate English and you couldn't help but have so much Rhema drop in your spirit. Some chapters are joined to preceding chapters though. Would appreciate if an update is made where I can get to each individual chapter directly.

The app was difficult for a 73 year old to use at his first try at negotiating a bible on an ipad. Maybe you could have some simple instructions for first time users. Like how do you move from one book to another. Easy enough when you work it out but I spent a frustrating 30 minutes doing so!

Easy to use. Would like better if you searched for passage and wanted to continue reading into the next chapter that you wouldn't have to go back and re search.

This has really made a lot of the old scriptures that we know so well - become so much easier to understand and read. And i encourage the new kids and even young and long time christians to download and just read one.. Just one verse.. And it will change your life and the way you think about the bible.

It's a great app. A few things need to be added, like: being able to highlight particular words or sets of words, being able to share on social media platforms and so on.....

The app offers quick easy convenient navigation and the additional tools are wonderful. And the fact you've provided offline access is marvelous so I am still able to use in the event of internet outage.

As far as I can tell this is an awesome app I don't really know much about the study areas or the ability to take notes the only thing that I would really change is the fact that you need to let people save their highlights

I have hardback version that I am reading as the daily Bible reading for my devotional. Was traveling and did not want to lug it around with me, downloaded one other app did not work at all, this one works perfect. I thank you.
