You have now fixed it until it is totally broken. Suddenly I get bombarded with ads even though I have the paid version which is supposed to be ad free. The app used to be fast, but the new update takes a long time to load. Also the new icon looks like there are unread messages. I will rather purchase a more reliable app from a more reliable supplier.

Used to use this app considerably more than now. Find writing and correcting messages extremely difficult as they always end up back at the beginning and getting back to where you once were is a nightmare. I only use this service now when people write to me using it. Totally unsatisfactory.

The app opened with high delay and when you work with app when you connected to Net, immediately bombarded with Advertisers.

Worse ...i cant even write a short message without pop up of some ads, a lot of ads.. the branch ads instead of makes me want to be part of them now it becomes opposite. Punguzeni kutuwemea mi ads kila mda tunashindwa andika sms...😠😠

Has been working quite well for some months and has now stopped working. Tried updating this app but it can't start up.

Waay too many ads, but I guess that's why it's free. Plus, many of the ads come on with sound regardless of if my phone is on silent or not which is EXTREMELY annoying. Works somewhat well. But ..when using the app, the keyboard doesn't automatically capitalize the letters after a period. Also, the messages keep going across and not down so it's hard to correct/see the message. Guess I'll go back to the other app I was using. .

It's great. I like it. but could add the feature of front size setting for the text itself instead of changing the whole phone. And add the reminder of missed a text message when pick up phone? I constantly have to look for the blinking light or home button to check. Also, can you add function where we can add our own backgrounds? it would be cool.

Best texting app and service! I've been a pro user for some time. I ran into an issue with the app not properly receiving messages from certain contacts. I tried my basic solutions but eventually contacted support, which is what I should have done in the beginning. They replied within about five minutes, and we exchanged several messages in a very short period of time. They were able to accurately diagnose and solve my problem within minutes of my first e-mail. This app is the only full-featured texting app I've used, but now I know it has service to match!

Update: since the past few updates, the issues I was experiencing seem to have been fixed. Thanks! As a few other reviews have mentioned, since the last update the app has been unusable. Messages are not sent or received. Notification of Messages is working in the background is constantly present. I had to uninstall and use the previous version to keep things working. Please fix this!

One of the best texting apps I've seen to date and love all of the customization you can do in the settings to make it work best for my needs. My only critique as a few others have noted is that it doesn't have the ability to sync with a browser based interface. This funtionality is key for me since I also use my phone for work and while I'm at my desk it's much easier to text with my PC. I'm aware of Pushbullet and MightyText, but it seems weird using a third party app when it should be same.

This is an incredible and super convenient app to have ESPECIALLY if you're ever in a tight spot financially and are unable to pay your cell phone bill which unfortunately has been the case for me the past few months. However, thankfully with this app I still have a working cell and cell number and whether it be through call, text, or voicemail I still have the ability to keep in touch with those I need to. Obviously a source of wifi is needed but thankfully these days that is fairly easy to find. Also, even if you aren't around a source of swift when someone attempt to call/text you, you will still receive the text, missed call, and/or voicemail as soon as you do. There are quite a few similar apps in the play store and I've downloaded and tried out A LOT of them but this one is honestly BY FAR the best of the lot. MUCH better than even the most popular/highly downloaded apps of its kind. In fact I am genuinely VERY surprised that it's not at the top of the list or at least close to it.

This app has so many good features I don't think I can remember them all. When I receive a code it will show it in a special way so that with one touch I can copy it to paste into the place I need it, wonderful feature! I can see notices on my locked screen, use dark mode, send and receive group texts, and see everyone on a group text. You can call the person you are texting directly from the app. You can search all texts or individual conversations by keyword. You can send photos or GIFs.

The best sms app I've found, lots of features and options for customizing and personalizing the app but I still don't like that I have to download a separate Emoji Plugin, although transferring it to the SD card helps recover most of the space. Thanks for recent updates, everything works great as far as I can tell. It executes all my scheduled tasks on time; sending and receiving pictures is truly efficient. The quick reply is even better now... Great job everyone! Keep up the good work!

Hi, I'd like to suggest to have the color of the sender's bubble a little lighter since it tends to blend in with the background when in Night Mode. Aside from that, for Light Mode, I hope the font color is more distinguished, or darker as well since it can be hard on people who have poor eye sight like me. OVERALL, the app is gorgeous. I love it, and it's easy to send group messages which is important in my profession. Thank you!

Highly recommend it! I got this app to be able to customize each conversations ring tone that the new phone updates took away (which doesn't help if you need to separate business and personal texts). This is a smooth working app, I LOVE the customizations they do, and I haven't had any problems! (only thing I will say is that pictures that others receive are always labeled 'image instead of what I originally named them)

The only feature that I do not like is that photos are not grouped into a bundle and one notification is sent. Instead its all individual and there's a notif for each one. If someone sends a massive amount that notifs just seem to go on forever. Can this be changed? Edit: I can't properly respond, but thank you for the response! It was a small nitpick but i'm glad to know it can be set to send as one set and get a single notif. BAND has been super handy in keeping in touch with my friends and I truly recommend it.

Updated: I like Textra even more. It has offered most of the features I, or anyone else, could want. One needed feature would be a timed, delay send feature. I'd like to create texts then schedule them for a delayed send. Thanks for a great app. Just learning about this app, but so far I like it. What I especially like is the ability to block unwanted texts. One downside is that some two-step texts don't show up, while they do in the android messages app. One less star for that.

I've tried a lot of texting apps and this is the best one hands down. The base Google texting app is fine, but I love the customization and other options that just don't exist for other apps. I'm a big fan of the delay when sending a text as someone who has sent texts to the wrong person plenty of times, I also love the quick reply display and color options for group texts. Only thing missing is a search bar to find specific texts from the past.

I wish there was a 'mark as unread feature. Also a little annoying that if you have multiple new messages and read one one of them, the notification dot disappears from the app icon on the home screen. Plenty often I can't respond to messages right away but want to remember to respond later. Any feature that would help with that would be an improvement.

Great app. I've been using this for several years. My two favorite features are future delivery for messages and notification customization. I can have a distinct ringtone for each contact. This way, I don't even have to look at my screen to know who is texting me. Very useful feature. Also, if you ever have a technical issue and need help, their support team is top notch.

So far, less than thirty minutes of having it downloaded, it works better than a previous texting app I had. Pictures actually send. I kinda want to buy the full version, but one bad review of it hurt my chances. This is worse for me because my phone is an original Chinese version and I like the way it works right now, but don't want the ads and don't want how it works to change. I would like to be able to put different themes on each conversation though, to tell which is which easier.

Overall great app that syncs with desktop. 2 issues... 1. After sesrching for a person on mobile and then sending a text to that person, your position in main list goes to when you last sent that person a text. So you have to scroll all the way back to the top. 2. When starting a new text on desktop, it doesn't show the history of texts. So you can't see the last texts in case context is needed. Otherwise it's a great app with many useful features, such as pinning texts at the top.

The GUI is intuitive and astonishingly easy to use. Only once was there any kind of an issue with the app. A MAJOR update wound up erasing almost all of my texting contacts. The few the update did NOT delete, I wish it had. I've tried many different SMS Apps but this one has proven itself to be the best. Plus, it is EASILY and FULLY customizable! I like everything to match—wallpapers, SMS, WhatsApp, keyboard—EVERYTHING, as much as is possible. Go for it! I doubt you will regret it...

This SMS app is nearly perfect. The ability to pin conversations to the top of the screen is very helpful. I wish I could have both emojis and the Enter key on my keyboard at the same time. And I really like that I can mark a message as unread, but I wish it would give me a new notification when I do that. The other feature I miss has to do with deleting messages. Pulse can automatically delete messages older than a certain time. But I would rather delete them per convo when they're over 200.

Pushbullet is fast and simple messaging system that also allows you to send files between friends and other devices you own. The interface is clean and clear, it supports basically everything you could need to send files between either as a browser extension or actual desktop program. I didn't think I'd be nearly as useful as it is, having used it almost everyday for about a year, being able to send a message as a reminder to do something on my PC or quickly copying photos over to it has never been so easy. The best part is that it's free! It's astonishing how much you get for nothing and without being nagged by ads!

Faster and better than the Google version. I highly recommend this. I was able to quickly and easily set it so that all work texts and contacts are one color and one text tone, and all friends are a different color and tone. Strangers and first time texters get their own color and tone. I'm over 40, and I figured that out in a matter of minutes.

Truecaller is an excellent call blocker & Notifier. You can edit & control what actions it takes with different kinds of unwanted callers. a word of caution, the application would like to take over more control of your phone than you might be comfortable with, myself included! it is capable of detecting spam in your messaging, but it will try to take over as your messaging app, whether you care to or not. Look carefully at any other security & control options it suggests before agreeing!!!

I really WANT to love this. I replaced my phone's messenger app with this one and everything works well except the text notification sounds. They are very inconsistent, IF they work at all (usually they don't). I found the settings and changed them, but don't know what else to try. UPDATE: the developers suggestion to fix the sounds worked, and now I'm extremely happy with this app.

It does what its supposed to. Unsure why I am able to review a standard function of the phone. Fortunately you can infact, text message on my cell phone. The Archive feature is kind of annoying but atleast they made it easy to undo. No matter how short, it refuses to send messages containing videos I have recorded due to file size. Overall it does what it should and does it satisfactory. Looking forward to review other basic phone functions such as Phone, Airplane mode and Lock screen!
