This app came pre-installed on my phone and only seems to work when it wants to. Claims to give access to many different apps like Instagram without downloading the full app, but fails to fulfill with a proper experience after getting all the login info. For example the Instagram would not allow me to like anything. Useless and needlessly intrusive. Update in response to developer reply: You seem to have missed my point. Grouping apps sounded great in theory, but in practice the app is useless.

Added a row of 4 icons from the first 4 people in my contact list that i never contact. If i could choose which contacts to put at the top that would begreat. I have arthritis and poor eyesight so home screen space is at a premium. The app placed a large box with a gear icon in the center if my home screen to create a widget for the app. An optional smaller widget would be nice. My home screen icons started to disappear as the app took up space, i didn't like that so i uninstalled.

Doesn't fetch my messages, but definitely fetches a full-screen ad every time I open it. No inbox--first thing you see is an ad that demands you to interact with it. And this thing didn't even sync my messages when I installed it. Empty inbox when I finally got to it. Infuriating. Uninstalled.

Why do these updates come sk quickly, you just finish updating these apps and a few days later they are update again, I feel that is just annoying and te why this happens so soon,

For those frustrated, like myself, with e efyone wanting a piece of you, just don't set up Samsung or Glaxy , only do what's minimally possible. I found my way around most of the interference. I only use Google Messages, not Samsungs or Galaxy. It took me awhile to "deny", " uninstall, remove from display , unattach my emails , notifications , etc.. im pretty free and clear now still have apps close instantly for no apparent reason, stalls occasional. Its the Ads

Horrible app. I downloaded it thinking it was the Messenger app. It's not. It took over my open screen and added ads I would have to swipe through to open my phone. It added an ad box after each phone call I had to X out of to use the phone. Other than using my phone more than I did and making everything slower and more difficult, it provided ZERO benefits. None. It's literally a vehicle for ads. Run.

Too many pop ups. Trying to cut off my clock alarm but could because of pop-ups from this APP. THIS DOES NOT MAKE SINCE.😡😡 As soon as I touch my phone, to look at a text message there is a pop-up.😡😡

If I were reviewing Messenger as a basic application, it would get 4 stars for its versatility and social connection abilities. However, it locks up my Chromebook. That's where I would prefer to use it, since my kids usually have my phone and I don't really use Facebook anymore. I cannot utilize the app on the one device I use most often; for that reason, I can't recommend it for Chromebook users.

I'm so annoyed that sometimes when I write a reply text. It gets deleted while a commercial takes over the app. The app sends my text often before I'm finished writing because I can't use the return. So, this is why I rated it a 1.

I updated messenger and lost everything messenger and gained shameless adds and toggles for opening other apps I have no use for. Uninstall next on my list. Since whatsapp is owned by fb also, I figure I need to get back in habit of texting with phone again. in case they too follow suit.

Dislike the link to Facebook becoming more accessible to everything you do on Facebook were used to be a private Thing.. Seems like everyone has access to what you put on messenger not cool They want so much access to your bank accounts to your friends to everybody so they can click and and take their information I am definitely not like in this new update.. I would definitely give it no stars but there's no option for that

I use to be able to send over three hundred people a spiritual message. It seems like some days it works and other days it won't send multiple messages at the same time.. It's sad that most of the fb friends don't get the daily word message and it's not fair to others that enjoy my messages.. Is there something that I'm not doing right??

plain English would help us older people waste of my time .. simple , like it was , would help . Am not up to date with technology. keep it simple . just let me plug in , and use . Do not understand why you make things difficult for such a simple web . No need to make users take time and patience, just update .

It's ok for texting privately, but its allows easy access for others to break into your account. I love the app itself but it could have more protect features. I Love You Messenger always.

I'm liking this app it's just a few different things that I am noticing in the past were a few changes that have been made. I am somewhat confused as to how I got the text from whoever it is and what I have to do to create a good file and to use it without any problem. I am not the best person who is able to get the information from the sites unless I can find someone who is patient and can help me out and then I will give my best shot. Trial and error is my moto.

Can't get into my messenger put my phone number in and password and nearly two weeks later still not back tried everything I even uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and it's still not working I put the information in and it loads up and then it's comes up something went wrong can u fix the problem. My friends are txting me and I can't get them. Thanks Alison

it updates and then crashes and you have to reinstall. loses its ever loving mind. If it wasn't a main form of communication.

Why does it now tell me how many times I've opened the app? Ridiculous and useless in my opinion. I also dislike how easy it is to accidentally initiate a video call to the last person you played a game with. I wish there was a way to totally disable it.

greater options -However I think there could be a few more things for security reasons. mine has been hacked easily a few times.But if lets say you had to choose ? 5 devices only or fingerprint analysis would be the best.

I get the 'opportunity ' to rate 3 or more apps a day. But never have the opportunity to use them. And the one that I use for personal use does not send text messages, which is the bulk of my usage. So far all these as are rated a very low 1 in my book. C S

Sounded like a great app that consolidated all other messages but there are so many ads that you can't find the texts.

It's more complicated than it should be. I just want to read my incoming messages and reply when required. All of these extra pages of data that I don't want or need are just annoying.

Get the friggin Messenger icon off my phone. Have app. Been using for long time. Wants 'update' constantly! Tap 'get Messenger' icon...just goes to app... which of course says install or uninstall or update app. When update entire format changes to whatever 'you' want, not me! Whats point?

Half the time my chats aren't displayed when I open the app...furthermore it's Facebook junk so that's a takeaway from my rating of it. I would t even keep it on my phone if I didn't need it to communicate with a small handful of people...

Within 2 hours of installing my battery was being drained at an alarming rate. Couldn't get rid of annoying cover screen .... Now uninstalled. Stick to WhatsApp methinks

I don't want ads and I don't want stupid tunes playing, and I certainly don't want it to change my screens. Never again, and highly unrecommended.
