Messenger for Android™

I like this app but after playing with it it seems it's missing some important things. First you should be able to send pictures in all categories, not just sms. Also like others have mentioned, more customization. Ring tones and notifications.I still have not received a reply to my Facebook message, I'm beginning to think I won't be getting one. I was really planning on using this but until these things are added, I can't use it.

Extremely useful add to my phone. You don't need Facebook messenger downloaded for the app to work. Very few buy in the system. But they do not affect any data transfer to other accounts. Now with that being said, disconnect your Facebook link first because it will try an sign in every second an lock your Facebook sign in.

Very nice fast smooth and functional .however i did find one small funky bug. When i send attachments sometimes they dont show up when sending and when they do it has a blank white bar the bottom of attachment. Could i please ask for a reponce so i could show you a snaphot of it. Thank you so much🙂

There are a few drawbacks however. I wish it was possible to have contacts merged between SMS and hangouts. That is, have only one contact for both SMS and gtalk. Also, to have a list of (10 or so) most used contacts to speed up the creation of new text messages.

There's no option to deselect SMS, or turn off vibrate. I had to turn off notifications for the app under android settings to stop the vibration - but that kinda defeats the object. Also an option to remove the blue emojis would be great, only other people with this app can see them and let's face it we can't make people convert to this app if there are restrictions like this, especially when the standard emoji tray is right there. I don't understand that. But apart from that, it works really well.

I see a very promising concept in this app, the developer can turn this app into a complete and full fucntional android hub that integrate all android messaging apps such as ymail, gmail, facebook, twitter, whatssap, sms, mms etc. Just like blackberry hub. I believe users will be patiently glad to wait and assist to achieve this. But for now few changes could make it great to go with such as option for notification tone selection for individual apps and indication for sent, delivered and seen messages.

It has said "unfortunately messenger for Android has stopped working" 5 times since I downloaded it at around 9 this morning. Plz fix that! All-in-all I really like it just not the stopping especially when I'm sending an important message and its a good length.

I have already read and replied to the sms via this messenger, but as per default messaging app, I still have several unread messages. This is kinda annoying esp to those with units who cannot hide the default messaging app. Please have the option to auto-capitalize on your app too. I kept tapping on the uppercase letter every new sentence, which should be automatic already. Using huawei g7 here. Thanks!

I'm subtracting 1 star for having emojis which are not supported in many cases and/or look materially different in other cases and also the UX for accessing those emojis being not very good. I'm subtracting 1 star for pestering me to rate the thing which is also, realistically, a UX complaint.

Great app. Has a small bug but could be my version of Android 7.1.1 running on a Moto Z . When you send a text it never puts a time and date stamp it continues to indicate that it still sending. Buy it does send the text. Would like a patch for this. Great work guys. Well done otherwise. Anybody looking for straight down and simple texter.. this is it.

On my LG G3 it sometimes will not send pictures or copy and paste texts. Otherwise good app

It nice but due to few issue below I unable say it best & set my default messenger. 1) unable to login to facebook (authentication issue) 2) xmpp username not shown (unable to identify sender name) 3) unable use from contact directly 4) need context menu item & multi selection.

The interface looks good and I like how it has settings to change the colors but it would be nice if you could turn offthe blue emojis and give more customizable setting for example the ring tones. One other thing if you could archive the message like on Google messenger.

Have to leave such a nice app with an intrusive, clean interface. where u missed dev is on an important feature, where u r unable to directly forward the message. Most important one should be able to view message details as sent time and receive. thanks for such a nice app .

I love everything about the app except for the emojis. They are pretty cool looking but when I send one to my mates, it sends a link or some other thing to the emoji. If you fix that I will rate it 5 stars and share it with all my mates.

I downloaded it but when I select someone to text there is no keyboard or mic to text or talk text just a blank window with messenger at the top and a plus circle at the bottom to add people. I click it and it takes me to my contacts. I then select my contact and it takes me back to messenger with the no way to send a message window. So what good is it if it dosen't allow me a way to type or talk a message to send.

Only down side it's not compatible with all phones. My friends with a Samsung does not clear see my text.😠

Application does not accept any facebook account even i have entered correct facebook account but its not accepting..

Its lacking fbook other than that its ok.all that should be together.i cant take out anymore apps or anything cause im oui of space

It was just not to use .every phone have built-in messenger option .so why i am use that type messenger.

This app is pretty amazing. Its like google messenger! But ... lack of features. And also I dont know if my text message is sent or not. It shows 3 dots at the bottom of the text message. No indication for sent or unsent text message. Im using ICS os.

Can't log in to facebook. Always says authentication failed in every attempt. Also tried to uninstall it but I still can't log in.

All other accounts seem to work great! Facebook not. Also unable to switch off SMS. Uninstalled app - battery drainer even in background. As soon as uninstalled, battery stats promised another 4 hours of battery life. Would love to have this app back, but only if its not as hungry.

It always shows authentication failed and such. Fix iiit.

All I wanted was an app that lets me use SMS withou5 ugly, gimmicky things, some freedom (I use Linux and Android for a reason) and isn't borderline bloatwere. It isn't missing a thing. It is all it should be.

I am trying add my Facebook account. But keep getting authentification error pls help

I enjoy a different messenger protocol but sometimes it had problems sending messages and sending pictures. It would be nice if it could auto download multimedia photos automatically so that I don't gaff to airways do it manually. Facebook messenger allows for that

Will not send text to multiple people, will not send mixed media messages. Ease of use is my only praise for this app.

It's a lot faster and smoother than most messaging apps. My only concern is when in try to connect it to Facebook, I get an authentication error. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know please. Thank you, nice app.
