Met Éireann

Brand new Samsung S6Lite. Detailed daily forecast is unreadable. Dreadful. It makes the app unusable. Surely the app can be made to run on an up-to-date device? Have you stopped work on the apps?? I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Tried the widget. Guess what....it won't refresh. Uninstalled. Tried again about a year later. Still doesn't work. Won't rotate, text jumbled up. Amateurish app. Unistalled again. Back to the uk met Office app. Dreadful to think that the Irish met app won't work.

The app is pretty terrible. Rant follows: The rainfall bar charts are scaled to the most rain that day. So, one day a full bar means 0.1mm will fall in an hour, another day a full bar means 3.0mm will fall. You can't flick to the next day without going back to the summary screen. The summary icon for a day often has no relationship to the hour by hour icons in that day's detail. The text often doesn't match the icons and/or predicted rainfall map.

Great! It could be better change the color strategy. Some information is difficult to read because there are no contrast between background and text!

The old app was good with the recent rainfall radar accurate and the forecasts reasonable. Since they "upgraded" the app I have seen numerous times where it has been raining for hours and the recent rainfall shows nothing. The new app is slow and uses more data to do a much worse job. Sad.

Poor reliability of rainfall radar, i.e. large areas of rain appear and disappear then reappear again as if it's not working some of the time. Some radars often appear to be out of order for days on end. Forecast data is not updated with actual weather so is often wrong.

possibly the worst weather app out there... not counting the accuracy of the info provided, the app is just unusable, resource hungry, and usability challenged. it's so frustrating to go back and fro between map, summary forecast and details that, after patiently trying for 15 minutes to get to terms with it, i just decided to uninstall and get my info from the website. -5* if possible.

Android widget remains blank, & refresh is unresponsive, for hours after phone is restarted. It also commands too much blank border space on screen that I could use for other icons or widgets... The developer email does not respond to or acknowledge any feedback. I also note they don't interact with any comments on Play Store. Disappointing from a tax-payer funded organisation...

A strange mix of good and bad. When it works, it's great but often it places you in Dublin regardless of where you are (not a connectivity problem as does that on functioning WiFi!). Also radar not always functional.

The forecast is excellent. Accurate and reliable. My first go to! Layout clunky. Compare for example the layout of the Met Office. Missing is the hourly humidity. Also a full pressure chart.

Weather information is good and fairly accurate, but for a modern day weather app, the widget is dire and to add to that, the widget only gives information for the nearest main weather station, not your nearest local met eireann station, in my case I get Cork City, 30 miles away, but Moorepark met station is only 9 miles away.

The app appears to be designed as way to demonstrate weather icons to 6 year olds. Press play and watch the cartoon weather map change. I'm uninstalling, this is very disappointing, really met eireann you should be able to do better.

National weather app that's useless. My job depends on a reasonably accurate forecast but this constantly gets it completely wrong. The radar will show heavy rain in an area when there is none. Has cost me a lot of wasted hours because of its inaccuracy. Shall uninstall it and seek a more reliable one.
