Metal detector Smart Hunter (DIY Project))
You will need:
1 - A arduino
2 - A MOSFET irf740 (you can you, any you have disponible MOSFET)
3 - A capacitor 1mF and 0.47mF
4 - A wire ( 0.54 - 0.7 mm ) for the coils. We need make to 2 coils, 80 turns both, of diameter 160 mm both (for more sensibility we need to use biger diameter).
5 - A switch
6 - A handset with mini jack of 4 pins
7 - A resistance of 10 k
How it work:

Real Metal detector can detect small objects like a gold ring at distance of 20 - 25 cm.
The objects with diameter of 16 cm, can detect at 50cm.
The objects with diameter of 25 cm, can detect at 100 - 150 cm of distance.
When metal detector detect any metall smartphone do vibrate!
THis metal detector is easy to build and powerfull

In the video tutorial you can see how it work and adjustes of metal detector.
For build the coils we use the wire of 0.6 mm, but you can use from 0.4 to 0.7 mm
The coils must be identical.

Excelent app , excelent device for a very low budget . in my opinion for the hobbyst , average or professional electronist it's an easy task to build and setup this metal detector . For a regular person it is not easy due the lack of skills in electronics and some specific devices which are absolutely necessary ( LC meter , multimeter etc. ) . You can ask a friend to build it for you , or someone with enough knowledge onto this matter . Congratulation to the author !

This is so awesome! The guy who developed this- I love you. Happily got the premium for only 3 or so $. And with the junk in my shed I can make a really good detector.
No way to understand how the coils work the app is in English but the help videos are not in English grate work tho keep up the good work but needs to be more user friendly

Need to support this project and to do so I just upgraded to Premium. It is incredible to think that one man at his desk and with the help of his cat has set himself to make a better and completely simplified smartphone based metal detector that is already showing signs of having functionality (like an oscilloscope) that has never been seen before in metal detectors. Another entire industry is about to change.
