UPDATE license error fixed but its now a scoped storage issue if you are rooted and add this to build.prop it will play "persist.sys.fflag.override.settings_fuse false" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My only concern is that nVidia Lightspeed Studios occasionally remove the games from Play Store, today this game and Tomb Raider came back after a week disappearing, a while ago it was Doom 3 BFG. Please stop doing that 🙏😁
I had bought the game and it didn't work at the time so I refund it. After reading Nvidia's answer, I bought the game again and it still wouldn't work. Now I can't refund. I spent my money on something that doesn't work. I want refund.
Unplayable in Shield 9.0.0. Ran like dog water in experience 8, anyway. Please update the game.
license check fail.nvida shield tv pro. please fix or give me my $ back.
What did the last update do?
Why can't I move the game to external storage formatted as internal storage? I have a 200gb SSD formatted as internal storage, but this game does not allow me to shift the files to it. I don't need it to occupy 5gb of internal storage - I need the space for Plex to run properly.
great game a must buy for the shield TV
I purchased this a few days ago while on holiday, as it was on special offer. I just got home last night and went to play the game on my Shield just now and it crashes, just at the start wher it tries to download more data. A screen pops up saying the game has stopped, but does not give a reason why. And, of course, as I bought this while I was on holiday and didn't have a chance to test it before I arrived home, I have lost my chance to get a refund. You would think Nvidia would test their content for bugs before taking people's money. Still no sign of a fix for this and the developer just makes the same comments on every review; they're working on a fix and will update the listing when it is ready. Its obvious that they have just taken the money and run because there has been no update at all on this. And, of course, disgruntled buyers can't get their money back. Come on Google. grow a pair and give us all our money back. ***FURTHER UPDATE*** As others are reporting, the game now crashes at every cutscene, making it impossible to play. This is on patch 47, which Nvidia Lightspeed says it has been patched to. Don't they try their games out before releasing them?
Great AAA-game, unfortunately it is a really bad port in terms of performance. It's a stutter fest that renders the game unplayable. frame rate and frame time all over the place (feels like 20-60fps, fluctuating constantly). With a precision action game like this, it is very difficult to play
Yes the game is amazing. Its really fun, action packed and amazing graphics. My friends are shocked its playing on my Shield and not being streamed over the internet. Not specific to this port, but the very last final boss fight is really hard...
Having terrible luck with this game.... Just as everyone else states i get about a few minutes of playtime and after every cut scene my game just crashes and pops me back to the home screen. Extremely frustrating. I'm a huge Fan of the MGS Franchise and all the other games on the Nvidia Shield TV run flawlessly. I don't know why we are all having these kinds of issues Would like to get this resolved soon so i can update this status to be a little more positive....PLEASE.....
Please work on improving performance on this port. Its a really great game otherwise. Laggy in the boss fights which makes it extremely hard to control. Otherwise 5 stars
A very impressive game from Nvidia, seeing a console game of this caliber on there little Android TV device is very cool. Highly recommended if you like fast paced action games.
Totally amazing, I bought this game a bit skeptical about paying $15, Once installed I can tell you that its totally worth it, Everything is amazing on the game, graphics, soundtracks and the story-line and mine clips gives you the sensation of being in a movie.
After buying I have tried to run it 3-4 times. Every time the download will go beyond 6-7 GB and fail installation. My NVidia Shield has enough space as well as SD card has whole lot of space in it. What do I do with your app which can't be used on Shield TV after purchasing ?
First of amazing game. Thanks for the port I was losing patience with the ports still "coming soon" but after playing this game. It shows the power of the X1. Take as much time but deliver this quality ports. Gameplay is great smooth and enjoyable. You'll get the hang of the game its really fast paced. Play the tutorial it help a lot. I recommend this game to anyone seriously fun. Seen frame rate drops and minor stuttering on the Shield Pro nothing to serious.
Installed on the Nvidia Shield TV with no issues. Works great! Very smooth. Not seeing any stuttering as mentioned in other reviews. Never played it when it was released on PS3, but it's a lot of fun. Feels like half Shinobi and half Strider. Great job by Nvidia for this port. I can't wait for the upcoming games!
Very impressed by the fact that Konami/Nvidia were able to port this game over to a mobile platform, but unfortunately it's definitely not the best place to play it. Framerate is inconsistent and there's a ton of stuttering, which can be pretty damning in an action game like this. Otherwise, it's a pretty solid effort, and it's still amazing that this game is even running on the Tegra X1 as it is.
I can't say it enough but I am totally in love with this game. Impressive Visuals, Gameplay, & some amazing soundtracks really makes this game shine. Those elements combined are enough to make me say buy this game and the fact that the game is running on a little processor called the Tegra X1 is insane. Plus this game is really challenging which I enjoy.
Game say's 5gb download but goes all the way to 8gb almost then say's FAILED to install. I have plenty of room on my hard drive,SD card and or internal storage. Worst of all a few mins after buying i don't see any REFUND button or option. I knew this would be an issue considering NVIDIA is taking their sweet time to release any of the game's ,app's or 4k content they said they would. Update: Google answered me ASAP which was great and issued a refund. I just wanted to play this game, i think it's the only game from Last gen i actually never played. I don't know if nvidia is to blame or Kanami for this. Konami does make awful port's, and they game's thata re actually good. They look, play and lag really bad.
Very impressed. This is the full experience, not a stripped down version. It also looks better that the PS3 version. It looks lovely, very smooth and fast. Recommended.
Such an awesome game. Awesome game play, fun story, awesome visuals smooth gameplay. If you own a Nvidia Shield TV you owe it to yourself to play this game .
Totally worth the wait. Awesome graphics and gameplay on shield pro. Not bad at 50 percent off too. I've seen worse ways to spend 15 bucks. I still would have spent the full 30 if I had to.
It plays like a great console game and it makes me excited for the future of gaming for the Shield and Android in general. However, the framerate is very inconsistent can affect the gameplay sometimes. I hope that this is just an optimization issue that can be fixed in the future.
I've never played this game till now and I'm enjoying every bit of it , except for the storage problem but a small problem, still giving a five star because I know you will fix the issue GREAT GAME !
Amazing , I'm in love with this game and Nvidia Shield TV. It deserved every penny :)
Can't even play it! When I load it up it tries to install more data and says external storage is full. It is not and has at least 42 gigs free. Internal isn't as well but I freed up at least 4.2 gigs but still won't install to external. What is the deal?
I'd love to tell you about this app if it would start. Sequence of events: Open app, Google Play opens, License check, load screen displays for 2 seconds then it quits out to device home screen. I think it's looking in the wrong place for the obb file as this was released before Android 8 or was it 9. Before then you had to first set in options which storage area you wanted to use for apps. I played this on Xbox years ago and was looking forward to replaying on Nvidia Shield TV version. What is the likelihood of this getting fixed I wonder?
