would be 5 stars but for some reason my units have disappeared from the customisation menu and I can't upgrade them, make new decks or buy new units. I'm really into the game and like it, but eventually, without being able to upgrade or buy new units, I'm gonna hit a brick wall and not be able to proceed. a fix for this would be great. otherwise, awesome game!
I used to play this game on day one of the app and played it for 5 years. Just came back two years later and my saved data is missing. Lucky I didn't put money into the game, but 5 years worth of metals and special units now gone. I had fun in those 5 years, but since the game has been abandoned for MSA since it got a update few weeks ago. Wish to play it again, but can't due to missing 5 years worth of data in the cloud.
the game is great but there's a few bugs but otherwise its ok. to people complaining they can't download the extra files if your screen freezes click the home button but don't exit the game then click it again in the tabs. you can notice if the game has froze in the background if it happens again just do the same procedure and it will slowly download and you need a stable connection if you don't want any hung on the game. just pointing this out cuz i'm a bit tired playing on random with bots.
I've been playing it every day for 4 months. I'm happy with the game! But one fine day like yesterday, my account disappeared and it won't go into the account at all. On the remaining games I have, everything is normal! And the metal slug defense will not even go into the google play login icon. I tried everything in general, the login icon does not respond at all! And now I have lost everything I gained! Big minus and big disappointment!
Wow this app is absoloutley beuatiful I love the design, set up, and selection it offfers. however it crashes on almost every device ive downloaded it on. Not only this after several attempts of restarting my devices , undownloading then downloading once again it never lets me connect my google plus to allow myself to play online. I am not sure if thats because its an older game and they just gave up on the online play or what. But this app is def not worth the time and I now question the compan
Used to be good, left to die... Special events to get units are rare to none, in almost 2 years just one event, I'm about to give up, just waiting for the Christmas event (if any). Advertising is extremely annoying considering now some are not even optional. Loved this game in my childhood and this one is the best MS game for mobile but YOU'RE KILLONG IT SNK.
A wonderful gift from SNK to MS fans. SNK put a lot of thought and love into this epic marching-defense game and it shines though in the fun, engaging gameplay and recognizable characters & enemies from throughout MS history. If you're a Metal Slug fan from back in the day or new to MS, Metal Slug Defense is a great FTP game you'll soon grow to appreciate as it offers much variety and encourages creativity. You can spend cash to show support but it's fine as FTP only. Thanks, SNK.
It Keeps Crashing after many attempts to download its files!!! What's worser is that its last update is 2016 and my phone says that it "only works on older versions of android", like, the devs are no longer paying attention at all updating the app to fit newer versions of android! So, for those of you who are reading this review, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!!! YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PLAY IT!!!
it is a fun game. I purchased two items from the game, after two days the game asked me for an update. after updating the game it erased all my purchases and all my saved data. I had about a thousand medals and a nice collection of characters. I wish they would fix this I do not mind spending the money as I said in my opening statement this is a really fun game hopefully they fix this.
I have a Galaxy S10 and my game keeps crashing, I cleared cached and reinstalled the game, but it keeps crashing (not responding and closing), my guess it's because of the ads, I need a way to fix the crashing. I like this game very much, I got to the 200's on Missions.
Got so far in the game just for it to refuse to backup save data indefinitely stuck on Please Wait. Literally let it sit there doing that all day and night and still same thing. Had to reinstall it just to have all progress not preserved & friends option logs you out of Google play. Fun abandon-ware game while it lasted.
Guys for those who are stuck at downloading the initial files, you just need to get out of the metal slug defense tab without closing the game and then go back in. Other than that, the game is much better and balanced than MSA but i wish you SNK still cared about this game since after all, MSA is not going to be available on 32 bit devices anymore.
Downloaded it, installed it, went to play it and it wanted permission for a lot of things a game like this shouldn't really need (I did not grant said permissions). Then it wanted to download an extra 140 odd mb before I could play. It would have been useful to know that beforehand or, you know, have that included in the original download. I didn't bother beyond that point, didn't seem worth it.
this game is super fun if you are able to play it because apparently a lot of people have problems starting it up but anyways its a fun game with secrets and pretty hard too unless you get the right strats and the gameplay is cool with the metal slug characters from the original game........yea thats my review, just a cool game all around if it works for u
Any updates? This is my third time starting as a newbie. I have my first account that have many units. But the data got corrupted and must start from the beginning. Later on, my second, while also having good units, the data was corrupted. This is my third time after 1 year and I hope that this will not disappoint me again.
One of the best mobile games I have, but I really hate all the adds that are just everywhere, and that's why only 4 star. Also, when you use two fingers to tap, it sometimes launches you to one side of the map or the other.
The game requies a download before you can play, which didn't upset me; but no matter what I tried, it froze before it finished. And it was never at the same amount, it always seemed random.
i love metal slug games generally, and this one is the best when it comes to the modes you can play. however, i noticed an annoying thing which is that you can only play little with the original limited amount. but i'm still going with it : > Also, where is Metal Slug Online??😢
Great game, Really entertaining and fun, the ads can get a bit annoying, specially when there is a boss stage on the map that disappears with time, but at least you can exit from them relatively fast.
Needs to be forcibly in the internal storage, does no't work from external memory, when in external and downloads the extra data, at the end i get a message "Error saving Data", plays fine but when you exit and enter again, you need to re download the extra data.. Please Fix Regards
Its so sad how this game cannot be play anymore, so many memories while playing it and now it stop just like that, sure you can download it but not play it. Maybe the dev now is stressing or focusing on other games and forgetting abput this game, even the last updated is april 2016. Damn, i really hope this game comeback again
Very good game but problem is that the developers has leaved this game and this hasent been updated since 2016 please come back and this game need alot of fixing and should be updated and I can't sign to my Google account and I can only play levels but can't play online love this game but please come back developers we need u to fix this game
This game was legit, even though I didn't have the money for medals. I remember how good it felt to grind for medals and get the unit u wanted. Too bad the game is abounded now. I miss it :(
This game is amazing! I love the general gameplay, the level ups, The missions, The shop to buy the main units, The daily bonus & the online gameplay. The one thing that's really difficult is the "Events" task to unlock extra units which probably needs a lot of simplifying for those who are not familiar in the Events mode. Other than that, The game is fantastic!
