This application works great. Follow the instructions and you'll be on your way to finding fasteners' in drywall or any other project requiring a simple and effective metal detector.
Nice finding all sorts of interesting stuff
It actually worked!
Weakly detects ferrous metals only as they disrupt the earth's magnetic field. As help file says, will not detect non-ferrous metals like aluminum. Very good at detecting magnets and can be set to vibrate for "high" levels. I am liking what this app developer has to offer.
Just as a joke I downloaded this to find a buried pipe (about 3/4" deep) I was crawling around running my phone on the ground like it was a tricorder and all the sudden the thing spikes! I take my spade and probe the ground and by God, the damn app found the pipe! It tickled me pink! Nice job!
This only a more or less convenient way to visualize the reading of your device magnetometer. The application shows the sum of the 3 magnetometer fields as a value and as a graph, together with the value of the 3 fields. Its sensitivity depends on the one of your device magnetometer. On my Xperia Active, I could only detect rather large steel objects.
LG GFlex confirmed. I found the fuel oil fill pipe that had been buried by landscapers. I gad a general idea where it was because my oil guy from last year was looking in a 10X10 ft. area. He couldn't find it. I used the compass to home me in, when I got above and close the display turned red and the phone began to vibrate. Bulls-eye. It was under 2" of dirt and mulch. I called them asap and he's now on his way back to fill my underground tank. The setup works best if it's less than 3' away
I was shocked to learn my S8 could do this. The software gives access to the S8's sensor in a simple to use and useful manner. Try it you will love it.
I downloaded the app I spun it around in my hands and I put a soda can in front of my phone and it shows nothing....
Very useful app I am a radio amateur and this has proved useful on several occasions. It detects electrical fields in non ferrous metals like copper wire too- very handy.
It just detects and displays the magnetic field. The only thing it reacted to in my house was a little magnet on the fridge and I had to put it at least an inch away to even get a reading.
Saved me from breaking unnecessary tiles to find the box. Thank You
Very useful, if you are short-sighted and you search for sewing needle
I love how everyone is so stoked about how a metal detector app is actually working on their phones which have built in magnetometers. 😆
Tested it on my stove, on the cooking part, picked it up really high rate.
I like it simple easy to use and have stuff others don't like full screen view not just have your screen and adjust the speed of it I recommend it any day
App is ok, but the ad placement is bad, it blocks part of the graph that is displayed.
and the great thing is I found transformer.I was going home from work and I found optimus prime fighting with Megatron.
The metal detector for sure works, but I wasn't able to detect any metal through my walls and I scanned several places different times slowly, a little slower, faster, etc. It just didn't work.
God forbid my life depended on this app to find ferrous anything
This has to be one of the best thing i ever had. it good. it great.its the best of the best. ps no lie it really work.two thum up on this one. 👍 👍. thank you.
Didn't work on Moto G. Last app didn't work either so it must be the phone.
It is a Magnet Detector. Laptops have magnets and thus. Other than that it is working fine and better than ever.
It works on Acer liquid 6350 , i put a coin at the back of my phone . But I think the sensitivity of this app is not good enough to dig on the ground and look for some silver or metal
used it on many phones, most accurate was the nexus 5, good app to detect flux in megnetic AC fields. sadly not all devices are created equal so it dont work right on some phones.
