Your app is garbage, I don't know what's worse this app or calling customer service. It took calling three times to finally speak with someone that understood english, and I was able to communicate with her well. I wouldn't recommend the app or your insurance to anyone!!
The app kept taking me to a screen to link my policies. I only have one, I don't need to link them. I could not get past this screen to see why my claim had been denied.
MetLife typically only pays about 30% of what a dentist charges for services and I end up having to pay the rest. What's the point of having insurance if they hardly ever pay for anything? This is the worst dental coverage I've ever had. The app leaves a lot to be desired. After you select a dental claim - if you can find how to do that - the explanation of benefits is for an entirely different date and doctor! That's inexcusable to be so poorly written.
not a reliable app. Most of the time when I use it, it gives me errors and not reliable at all.
I created account online with all my policies, when I sign into the app they are gone and makes me add them again but the policy number field won't let me use letters so I cant add them.
I can log in thats it. To link my policy, that is already linked on my profile online, I have to enter my police ID that start with the letter a. The programmers set the app to only allow numeric digits so can type an a, copy and past the a or speak the a on the account line. Thus the app does not find my already linked policy and is useless. For a company that has been around as long as metlife and being part of farmers, I would think they could hire better programmers than this.
Completed registration. Then it tells me I need to update agreement. I try to several times then it says: We're sorry an error has occurred and we are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later. Won't let me screenshot it. I'm paying for insurance I can't use. Why do I need to log in a app to get my insurance information? Why can't they just send me my insurance information like they are required by law?
Downloaded this app specially for checking my coverage/deductible etc on my Dental plan, but I can't do anything even open my ID Card. Whatever I try to open - error is happened
I'm trying to put in my policy information, which has an alpha character and when I click on the line, it brings up some phone keyboard and it doesn't type alpha characters, only numbers. So I can't get into my account from this app.
This is the worst app for the worst insurance company I've ever experienced. Who would have thought something could be worse than their website? I haven't been able to log into the website to pay my bill in 3 weeks (the page never loads), auto pay kicked in, posted my bill, but for some reason refunded the balance, and now my "type of account isn't available on the app". I've never had such a hard time giving someone money. I'm canceling my coverage.
The App didn't work for us at all. We were unable to set up our account because it won't take our new password even if we carefully followed the guidelines and tried several time. The other issue was that when filling out the form, the Date of Birth has to be picked from the built in calendar and going back all the way to the desired year was time consuming, very frustrating and annoying! I hope that there are no other issues beyond the point where we were forced to stop.
The whole app is clunky, but the payment set up is the worst. It doesn't pull data from Samsung pass correctly, it doesn't show you the credit card number you are entering so you have no idea if you entered right or not, it throws payment errors all the time. Seriously thinking about getting rid of this insurance completely
It can't link my employer account because it can't find it. That doesn't make any sense because on the website itself I was able to successfully register, locate and link my employer for my Dental insurance. Everything worked fine until I downloaded this stupid app.....no point in having something that doesn't work. Digital waste of space in my opinion.
I have had an auto policy with them for years. Tried to log - in with online ID and told product not available. Then I tried using policy number, etc. Are you kidding me? Only way to enter DOB is to scroll back 70+ years with the calendar... Month by month. No option to type it in. Ridiculous. I'm very happy with the coverage they give. I've never given a rating this low. This app is the worst I've ever seen, and I have many, many apps. (using Galaxy S9+)
Doesn't actually do anything. You can see you have an account, but that is all. Only option is to find a provider.
I wish I could give no stars! The app goes into full screen mode making it nearly impossible to close, unless you change it via your phone's app settings. The app doesn't recognize existing policies. The app doesn't accept payments lower than $30 so if you have a low premium on say an umbrella or a renters policy you are forced to call in...calling in forces you to navigate their awful IVR. You know the one that talks over you entering your policy number and then claims not to recognize it!
Should probably rename this app to "Technical difficulties" - except, being a terrible software developer isn't so much a technical difficulty as it is just incompetence. Starting at the top - login. It says Touch ID "was invented by Google" (no) and the dev doesn't seem to know that fingerprint sensors aren't all called Touch ID. Username field requires touching the exact pixels in the letters to select - not the field. Once you get in - can't load policy details, schedule appts. Useless trash.
Very difficult to navigate. There does not seem to be a way to get back to the home page to switch to another benefit. Also it does not provide access to information on life insurance policy
Mobile app and desktop gives constant errors that data can't be displayed or there was an error loading. Frustrating.
Downloaded app in effort to access policy information and pay bills. Unable to add policies to view bills unless I had policy start date (which changes yearly). Spent 30 min on hold with MetLife to get policy start dates. went back to app to load in superfluous data, then received error message that I wasn't allowed to view that type of policy (3 separate ones: auto, home, umbrella). Why have an app to access policy info and pay bills if one is not given permission to do so? Garbage.
How to use this app for Farmers Auto?? It is not allowing me to add my policy that start with character. It allowed only numbers.
App opens and has plan info but cannot look up estimated costs. I also cannot open EOBs. Every time I attempt to search in the app, it states server failure. I do like the fact that all MetLife Policies can be found together (dental and auto, multiple dental policies through different employers.) The idea of the app and it's potential is great, now if only it would work like it should.
It never seems to work. Always says sorry we're having trouble loading, try again. It's junk.
some of the pages does not work, like eob doesn't open, doesn't show coverage details the page was simply blank.
I use it specifically to keep up with my Auto insurance and the change of my monthly bill when points were taken off my insurance. Was super helpful with that, and having access to my ID cards is pretty sweet too. Also just a very simple, easy to navigate app that loads quickly despite me not having the best internet connection.
Completely unusable, can not load I'd cards, find doctor's, get pricing estimate, the app is garbage their website is worst never going MetLife for benefits again.
App did not allow me to type anything in the user ID and password box. After numerous attempt I had to go thru the password reset procedure and thats how I was able to log in. But once I log out, it will not let me type the user and password again and I'd have to reset password again in order to log in to my account. It is frustrating and annoying!
Error message that something went wrong; cannot can not access my policy. Link your policies: error message. The first time, I've tried this app. It is just as unbelievably TERRIBLE as their website! Awful! Awful! Awful! The most unintuitive, absolutely scrambled experience of anything I've experienced. Worse than using a dial-up service and accessing a website in 1992! This app is no better. Good thing that I have a kind and helpful agent who will take care of me!
